Relive Singapore's TV Classics at the Singapore TV: From Local to Global Exhibition at Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre

Parents, it is time to take a trip down memory lane and share a huge piece of your childhood with the kids. Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre (SCCC) and Mediacorp have teamed up to launch a brand-new exhibition that traces the evolution of local Chinese television dramas from the 1960s all the way to the present day. Singapore TV: From Local to Global is a wonderful opportunity for you to show your children the iconic shows, stars, and stories that you grew up watching after school or during family dinners.

The exhibition is split into five interactive, chronological zones that make history fun for the little ones. You can step into recreated, nostalgic sets from legendary dramas like The Unbeatables and The Awakening, look at original costumes from The Return of the Condor Heroes, and even browse vintage television magazines. To keep the kids fully engaged, there are hands-on interactive experiences throughout the space—including a multimedia booth where you can both have a go at dubbing a classic scene from Good Morning, Sir!.

As you wander through the changing eras of television, it serves as a brilliant conversation starter to explain to your children what life was like when you were their age. From vintage television sets to modern micro-dramas, this exhibition beautifully bridges the generation gap through shared pop-culture memories.

From 24 June to 30 August 2026, Singapore Oceanarium at Resorts World Sentosa transforms into a playful underwater world with CRYBABY Cry Me an Ocean—a limited-time family experience blending art, storytelling, and marine discovery.

In collaboration with POP MART, Resorts World Sentosa, and the Singapore Tourism Board, CRYBABY is reimagined as adorable ocean-inspired characters spread across 11 immersive photo zones. Families can spot giant inflatables and sculptures, including towering 5-metre ANGLERFISH and PUFFERFISH figures outside the entrance and a 2-metre WHALESHARK greeting visitors inside the galleries.

Beyond photo moments, each installation is placed alongside real marine habitats, encouraging kids to learn about ocean life through interactive storytelling and discovery. The experience is designed to make conservation and marine education fun and engaging for all ages.

Before heading home, visit the CRYBABY POP-UP Store at WEAVE, Resorts World Sentosa, featuring exclusive merchandise and an eye mask giveaway with minimum spend (while stocks last).

Catch the NDP2026 Fireworks & Flypast
at Kallang Basin

As we step into July, the annual NDP rehearsals will be in full swing, giving families a glimpse of what to expect during the National Day celebrations on 9 August. Families can expect fireworks and more every Sat in Jul at The Kallang. 

If you are planning to catch some of the action, here are some details that you do not want to miss! 

Fireworks will be happening from the Kallang Basin. Based on the Combined Rehearsal on 27 Jun 2026, these are fired at 7.40 pm (a small fireworks) and the finale fireworks at 9.10 pm. Do note that we believe the finale fireworks for future rehearsals should be earlier at about 8.30 pm. 

Families can also look to the skies at around 6.45 pm for the State Flag Flypast and listen out for the Presidential Gun Salute and the Fire of Joy at 6.50 pm and 7 pm respectively.

Step Into Disney Garden of Wonder at Floral Fantasy

Disney Garden of Wonder returns to Floral Fantasy this June. The second season of the popular floral display brings a fresh floral makeover for all Disney fans! For the first time in Singapore, families can see characters from Toy Story 5 and Frozen rendered in stunning horticultural displays, providing a magical backdrop for holiday photos without the stress of outdoor elements.

Beyond the international favourites, Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck will also be "going local." The display features the iconic duo attempting a "teh tarik" pull, offering a playful way to introduce younger children to local coffee shop culture. 

Families will also find displays dedicated to Beauty and the Beast, Jasmine & Rajah and the Hundred Acre Wood. Make sure to have your phones and cameras fully charged before making a visit!

Jewel Changi Airport has been transformed into a massive floral wonderland, but with a creative twist. This June, families can explore Southeast Asia’s largest LEGO Botanicals showcase, featuring a staggering 800,000 bricks.

From two-metre-tall LEGO Roses at the Forest Valley to intricate "Gardens of the World" installations at Canopy Park, it is a brilliant way to let the kids appreciate "nature" while spotting their favourite LEGO elements hidden amongst the greenery.

For those heading to Canopy Park, keep an eye out for the Mediterranean-inspired sunflower displays and the whimsical Japanese Tranquil Garden—perfect spots for those family photos.

The highlight for little explorers is the interactive stamp rally. You can pick up a rally card and hunt for stamps across seven locations in Jewel. Once completed, head to the LEGO pop-up store at Basement 1 to redeem a special LEGO souvenir. It is a simple fun activity to keep the kids engaged while you enjoy the air-conditioned comfort of the mall (you can play for free but to complete the stamp rally you will need tickets to Jewel Canopy Park).

Visit the Newly Opened Rainforest Wild Adventure: Soft Opening Promotion Now On

Families looking for a fresh adventure can look forward to the soft launch of the Rainforest Wild Adventure on 20 May 2026, bringing a massive 20-hectare experience to the Mandai Wildlife Reserve.

Consisting of the Rainforest Wild Adventure East and Rainforest Wild Adventure West, the earlier opened West side (previously known as Rainforest Wild Asia) was focused on Asian rainforests, this new expansion in the East takes inspiration from the Afro-tropical and Madagascan landscapes.

Adventure and wildlife experiences come together at Rainforest Wild Adventure, where visitors choose their own level of exploration. From accessible, fun activities for most visitors under Adventure+, to more intense harnessed experiences for thrill-seekers under Black Adventure, there is something for everyone.

Local resident pricing is available for WildPass holders, at $50 for adults, $35 for children (aged 3 to 12) and local students (aged 25 and below), and $25 for senior citizens. Park tickets include entry to both zones, and visitors can travel between the two via free shuttle services.

8. Visit the Newly Revamped Pokémon Center SINGAPORE at Jewel Changi Airport

Pokémon fans have another reason to visit Jewel Changi Airport! Pokémon Center SINGAPORE has officially reopened with a refreshed interior inspired by Singapore's culture and heritage, offering families an exciting new space to explore.

Welcoming visitors at the entrance is the Legendary Pokémon Solgaleo, now the store's iconic centrepiece, while children can have fun spotting other Pokémon hidden throughout the revamped store.

To mark the grand reopening, fans can also shop a new range of Singapore-exclusive commemorative merchandise, featuring designs inspired by local landmarks and culture. 9. Explore Future Tech at Hyundai Motor Group Innovation Center Singapore (HMGICS)

At Hyundai Motor Group Innovation Center Singapore (HMGICS), families can explore how robotics, smart farming, and sustainability come together inside a real innovation facility—turning learning into a hands-on adventure for kids.

Start with the free Discovery Tour (~90 minutes), which introduces future mobility, smart manufacturing, and sustainability. Families can explore a Smart Farm, harvest fresh greens, enjoy a VR factory experience, and even view the Skytrack and IONIQ Lounge. Bookings are required via the Hyundai Discovery Tour website.

For younger children (ages 3–6), the Smart Food Lab runs on weekends at 10.30am and 4.30pm (60 mins, $15/child). Kids explore food through sensory play and end with a fresh wrap-making activity. One adult per child is required.

For older kids (ages 6–12), the SPOT Robot Coding Workshop takes place on weekends at 10.00am and 4.00pm (90 mins, $25/child), where they build and code a mini robot inspired by HMGICS’ SPOT robot.

This is a rare family experience where food, farming, robotics, and future tech come together—all proceeds support the President’s Challenge.

Following a $50 million revamp, City Square Mall has transformed into a community-focused “Eco-Mall” with new play spaces, sustainability features, and a family wellness hub.

The highlight is the City Green Playground (Level 1), a vibrant nature-inspired play area with two towering “flower” structures. The three-tier Yellow Flower Tower challenges older kids with climbing nets, talking tubes, a telescope at the top, and a thrilling spiral slide. Younger children can explore the Red Flower Tower, a gentler two-storey structure with simple obstacles and a shorter slide. Around the towers, families will find stepping pods, musical panels, hammock swings, and soft rubber flooring for safer play.

Nearby, toddlers can enjoy a raised wooden play deck built around existing trees, offering a unique treetop-style nature walk with activity panels and a mini slide.

Families should also stop by the CDL EcoTrain, a repurposed MRT cabin turned climate education hub where kids can complete a QR-code scavenger hunt while learning about sustainability.

A sheltered pool with ramp access makes family swim time comfortable and safe, while the outdoor pool is perfect for traditional swimming and catching some sun. Now open at Velocity @ Novena Square, Dorifto! brings Japan-inspired indoor drifting to Singapore in a neon-lit, mountain-pass themed arena designed for family fun.

Spanning 14,000 sq ft, the track features six hairpin turns and a donut roundabout, created with input from professional racers. Instead of speed, the focus is on controlled drifting, making it suitable for beginners and kids.

The experience is styled after Japanese car culture, with nods to Initial D including a Fujiwara Tofu Shop replica and karts inspired by the Toyota AE86 and Mazda RX-7.

Safe for families, the karts are limited to 6km/h and fitted with protective bumpers and water barriers. Children 120cm and above can drive solo, while younger kids can ride with an adult.

After racing, families can relax at the pit stop area with themed drinks while watching the action. Tickets start from $23 per session, with bundle options available for repeat rides.

18. Dive Beneath the Surface at The Artground @ OHV’s WonderGround: A Journey Beneath Your Feet

Tucked within One Holland Village (OHV), The Artground has unveiled WonderGround: A Journey Beneath Your Feet—a sensory-led, immersive play space designed especially for toddlers and preschoolers.

This whimsical “underground” world invites little ones to crawl through twisting tunnels, explore root networks, and discover glittering caverns, all while building confidence, coordination, and curiosity through hands-on play. Best suited for ages three and under, the soft-play environment is thoughtfully curated for safe, whole-body exploration. 

Beyond free play, families can look forward to rotating programmes including clay workshops, baby-friendly performances, and even live nature encounters with creatures like rhinoceros beetles. Created by artist Aida Sa’ad (aka “Yellow Mushmellow”), every corner is interactive—encouraging children to touch, explore, and be part of the art.

Running till 31 March 2027, sessions are 1 hour 15 minutes (advance booking recommended), with tickets from $8 on weekdays and $10–$12 on weekends and holidays. Grip socks are required ($3/pair if needed). A vibrant, screen-free experience that’s worth planning a full day out around.

19. Slide into Fun at the Revamped Sengkang Sports Centre!

Freshly revamped in June 2025, Sengkang Sports Centre now features five exciting water slides, a sheltered Olympic-sized pool (one of only two in Singapore!), and a wide range of upgraded facilities perfect for family fun. Kids can zoom down whimsical slides like Cotton Candy Bowl, Sugar Rush, and Rainbow Dash, or splash around at the jacuzzi and water playground.

Active families will enjoy Active Groove – a new, tropical-themed space designed for fitness classes like Zumba and K-pop dance. The centre also houses a gym, sports hall, pickleball courts, and a hockey pitch.

20. The Children’s Biodiversity Library by NLB and Singapore Oceanarium

The Central Public Library, located at the National Library Building on Victoria Street, reopened on 12 January 2024 with a refreshed children’s section, which brings the wonders of biodiversity – with a focus on marine life – closer to young explorers. This is the first marine biodiversity-themed learning space for children at a public library in Singapore.

The Children’s Biodiversity Library offers new opportunities, including monthly programmes, for parents and children to have deeper learning in marine biodiversity.

The library includes features such as a floor-to-ceiling column with coral- like features, a collection of marine specimens including shark egg cases and coral skeletons, digital content from the aquarium, an outdoor mangrove showcase, and The Submarine, a room where families can expect regular educational programmes. The library will also feature gamification kiosks with features such as an interactive digital installation where patrons can colour an avatar from NLB’s well-loved Book Bugs series and see them appear on the projection screen.

The popular Fire Station Open Houses has been an ongoing hit with families! Head down to any of the participating Fire Stations to meet the firefighters and paramedics, and learn more on how SCDF responds to emergencies! You will even get to watch fire fighting demonstrations, board the SCDF vehicles, don the protective gear and more! Activities may differ according to the station that you visit.

Open Houses happen every Saturday with sessions at 9 am and 10 am.

You are encouraged to make an online booking. This will enable our fire stations to plan ahead and provide guests with the best visitor experience. Walk-in visitors without an online booking will be allowed entry depending on the availability of visitor slots.
