The first edition of a global exhibition, Love The Last March is a sculpture sharing the message of the wildlife extinction crisis that is gripping the globe. But it’s also sharing the message of hope.
Singaporeans will get the first glimpse at the longest sculpture in the world which will be unveiled on National Endangered Species Day,19 May 2023, Friday at the Gardens by the Bay. A total of 45 of the world’s most endangered species led by a great mountain gorilla, will be marching together in this 192m sculpture. Depicting the greatest animal march on Planet Earth, it aims to bring awareness to the massive rate of wildlife extinction and to help save the animal kingdom.

Goodman Arts Centre opens its doors once again for a meaningful and fun-filled day of programmes and activities for families ranging across a variety of art forms such as music, dance and visual arts. Showcasing the unique talents of artists at Singapore’s largest arts enclave while engaging the community through the arts, this year’s Open House presents an eclectic array of open studios, workshops, performances, all-day activities, and a pop-up market.

Taking place from 12 May to 18 June 2023, Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre’s (SCCC) signature festival Cultural Extravaganza, features 11 exciting programmes that highlight the passing on of our culture to the next generation.
From theatre productions, music performances, to TV programmes, Cultural Extravaganza 2023 aims to showcase how our culture has evolved over time and includes a selection of multi-ethnic and multi-cultural performances that encapsulates life in Singapore. Let's take a look at some of these exciting events.
34. Take Part in the Stars of SAFRA 2023

SAFRA’s iconic children talent competition, SAFRA Lil’ Stars, is back this year as Stars of SAFRA and is expanding its reach to include talented individuals up till 16 years old. Children and youths can showcase their talents in 3 categories – Vocal, Dance and Colouring & Drawing – and stand to win up to $250 worth of prizes.
For the Vocal and Dance categories, participants can choose to register as a soloist, or register as a group with family members or friends. Registration fees start from $10 for SAFRA members and $15 for non-members.
35. Take Part in a Parent-Child Fishing Experience with a Decorative Fish Tank

An exciting activity for families has just popped up! The newly opened Nature Kindred is a nature-themed family space located within a plant nursery. Here, you will find various activities for families as well as a cafe for your meals too!
Opened every Sat & Sun, the Parent-Child Fishing Experience will give your child the opportunity to catch guppies at the beautifully designed fish pond filled with little guppies of various colours and fin shapes. Armed with a little net and bucket, watch your child as they try to catch these little fishes, and we are sure you will want to join in too!
You can choose to purchase the DIY Kit package that comes with the opportunity to decorate your own fish tank using rocks, sand and figurines! The collectible fish tank can house 2 to 3 fishes and is a great decorative piece at home! Or go without the kit and you will be provided a plastic container to bring the fishes home.
36. Experience Pottery With The Art Bones Studio

At the Beginners Kids Ceramic Workshop, children will try their hands at ceramics with guidance from an experience teacher from The Art Bones Studio. Students will get a first-hand experience with the building process for pottery, from start to finish. They will learn how to create their own pinch pots or coil pots with guidance, beginning with clay and encouraged to express their creativity by sculpting and decorating their product into personalised cups or flower pots.
At the end of the session, your child will take back their very own handmade, high-quality custom pottery!
37. Make A Visit To The Fire Station Open House

One of the best free things to do on weekends, head down to the Fire Station Open Houses for an exciting time mingling and learning more about what a fireman does. The activity happens every Saturday morning and you can simply walk into a participating Fire Station to join in the fun!
38. Learn To Fly At Aeroviation

Take the first step into the aviation world with Aeroviation by being in the shoes of 3 aviators! A pilot, an engineer, and also an air traffic controller!

Choose from different themes and routes, and you will tour through your chosen part of the city and stretch your mind while solving tricky puzzles. There is also a learning element as you learn more about featured landmarks to deepen the understanding of our lovely city.
Each Family Escape Adventure takes 1 - 2 hours to complete and brings you to 8 - 10 iconic locations. The locations can be accessed by foot and no transportation is needed to travel between locations. KiddoTrip is a company that specialises in self-guided toues for families. Their Explore&Play tours are aimed to be easy to use and includes activities for children. This includes an activity book for each child from 4 to 10 years old. These activity books are filled with fun and educative games to do at each stop of the tour. The immersive games like “Treasure hunt” and “Find differences” help the kids to notice what is in front of them and remember better the history and culture part covered in the tour.
Older children and adults will use the audio guide created with a professional tour guide who has lots of experience with children by guiding schools.

Spinning Connections: Creative Takes on Intangible Cultural Heritage is a digital video art series at the National Museum of Singapore that uncover the traditions and living expressions of our region and see how age-old practices and traditions continue to inform our lifestyle today!
With each artwork highlighting an aspect of ICH, namely food, dance, martial arts and storytelling, the showcase will bring contemporary resonance to the past and invite visitors to understand the present in different ways. For visiting families, this is a good opportunity to engage with your younger ones on our unique culture and identity that separate us from the rest of the world.
45. Paint it Forward Art Jamming Sessions at Malls of Frasers Property

Gather your family, friends and loved ones and join the Malls of Frasers Property for the Paint It Forward community art jam event which runs this June school holidays from 26 May to 25 June. Pick up a paint brush and co-create a canvas of inclusivity together with persons with disabilities.
All participants will receive a goodie bag worth $25 including a FRx Gift Card and painting kit that contains specially designed canvas outlines. These canvases were inspired by the works of art created by persons with disabilities behind the National Day Parade 2020-2022 collaterals, produced as part of the i'mable public education initiative by SG Enable. Add your own creative brushstrokes and illustrations to these canvases and co-create new and unique works of art to contribute to a tapestry of community, creativity, and inclusivity.
Each piece of co-created artwork will be linked together to form a giant Community Canvas Collage on full display at Northpoint City at the conclusion of The Children’s Festival. Registration is free and Frasers Property will contribute S$10 to the Mediacorp Enable Fund for every participant who registers for Paint It Forward.

From 27 May to 28 May, Down the River, Along the Streets of Asian Civilisation Museum presents a series of specially curated programmes for families with little ones to immerse in Singapore’s rich heritage. Catch interactive storytelling sessions and performances to experience the sights and sounds of the river in its heyday!
Parents and children can also get crafty and participate in fun craft activities at ACM, such as creating their own beaded boat keychain using perler beads. Hop aboard the National Museum of Singapore’s ‘flight’ to discover Singapore with Now Boarding: Experiencing Singapore through Travel, 1800s-2000s, a travel-themed exhibition that traces the evolution of Singapore’s identity as a popular travel destination, through the eyes of those who arrived at our shores from the past to the present.
Set against the backdrop of Singapore’s colonial past and its post-independence decades up to the present, Now Boarding presents itself as a travel guide and visual exploration of Destination Singapore. Through four thematic sections aligned to the themes of transport, accommodation, food and beverage, sights and shopping; the exhibition showcases a specially curated selection of ubiquitous material and artefacts evoking powerful memories of travel to and from Singapore. This includes the iconic analogue flip board previously located at Changi Airport, to a set of the history-making Singapore Airlines’ A380 prestigious Suites Cabin seat.
As part of Now Boarding, there will also be a series of themed pop-up experiences that will happen throughout the year, including NMS’ very own disco room, and other complementary programming for everyone. Check in to this exhibition to discover our little red dot anew, and contemplate on our identities as Singaporeans in an increasingly globalised world.
