IKEA Singapore will be hosting a hide & seek competition in store with 1,000,000 IKEA Family points to be won!

If your teens and tweens spend half their time watching YouTube challenges of people staying overnight in stores or playing epic games of hide and seek, it’s time to get them off the screen and into the showroom.

This June, IKEA Singapore is turning every kid's (and honestly, every adult's) secret dream into a reality with the IKEA PLAY DATE.

The Main Event: A First-of-its-Kind Hide & Seek Competition

Forget the living room curtains—this is Hide & Seek on a massive scale. Happening exclusively at IKEA Alexandra on 6 and 7 June, teams of two will compete to find professional hiders camouflaged throughout the store.

• The Prize: A staggering 1,000,000 IKEA Family points (worth $10,000) is waiting at the finish line.

• The Challenge: You’ll need a sharp eye to spot the pros who are blending into the furniture displays.

• Registration: Spots are limited to just 200 participants. Registration opens on 14 May, head to the IKEA website to secure your spot.

BYKidO Tip: We hope the hiders won't be painted in neon yellow to match the signage or trying to blend into a MALM bedframe, but a little tactical strategy with your partner might go a long way (you look up, I look down?)!

Join the Golden Ball Search Party

If you miss out on the main competition, don't worry—the hunt continues across all stores! From 1 to 21 June, IKEA is hosting a Golden Ball Search Party.

• 70 golden balls will be hidden around IKEA stores.

• Find one to unlock surprises ranging from delicious food rewards to $1,000 IKEA gift cards.

Fuel Up: Kids Eat Free & Flavor-Packed Parties

All that hunting is bound to work up an appetite. Luckily, IKEA has the snacks covered all month long:

• Kids Eat Free: On weekdays from 1 to 30 June, IKEA Family members can enjoy a free kids' meal (options include Swedish meatballs, plant balls, or organic pasta) with every dine-in.

• Weekend Food Parties: Every weekend in June features a different themed party—from Hot Dogs to Ice Cream and Chicken Wings—rotating across the Alexandra, and Tampines stores.

• Mixed Ball Platter: Can’t decide? Grab the Mixed Ball Platter (featuring falafel, Swedish meatballs, and plant balls) plus a slice of almond chocolate cake for just $7.90 (U.P. $10.40).
