The National Family Festival 2026 offers two months of free activities across Singapore, featuring massive carnivals and mall takeovers for all ages.

The National Family Festival (NFF) is back for 2026 with the heart-warming theme, "Family Begins with Me." Spanning May and June, this festival is designed to turn everyday moments into lasting memories. Whether you are looking for high-energy sports, creative workshops, or intergenerational bonding, the NFF provides a massive variety of free experiences across Singapore’s heartlands and iconic venues.

National Family Festival Carnival @ EXPO

For the ultimate family day out, the National Family Festival Carnival at EXPO Hall 3 is the festival's flagship weekend. Happening on 30 and 31 May, from 10 am to 7 pm, this is the largest event of the festival and is designed to be a high-energy hub for families.

Active Play: Engage in interactive games and various sports activities to get the kids moving.
Creative Workshops: Participate in hands-on sessions where parents and children can create together.
Stage Entertainment: Enjoy live performances throughout the day that keep the atmosphere lively and engaging.

The Mall Takeover Series: Fun in Your Neighbourhood

The fun doesn't stop there! The festival travels to various malls across the island, making it easy for families to join in the fun closer to home. Each stop features a unique mix of game booths, arts and crafts, and parenting workshops.

Kallang Wave Mall (16–17 May): Focuses on sports and active family moments to kick off the festival.
Century Square (21–23 May): Offers a wide range of free activities for a full day of play.
Bedok Mall (6–7 June): Celebrate the start of the June holidays with bonding activities and smiles.
Lot One (12–14 June): Features lively game booths and interactive parenting workshops.
White Sands (19–21 June): Activities designed for parents, children, and grandparents to move and laugh together.
Kampung Admiralty (20–21 June): A special weekend celebrating intergenerational relationships with meaningful play.
Sengkang Grand Mall (27–28 June): Discover "family love languages" and build resilience through hands-on activities.
Northshore Plaza (27–28 June): Enjoy playful challenges and quality time "in the hood" for Punggol residents.

Partner Highlights: Nature and Heritage

Beyond the malls, NFF partners are hosting themed experiences at two of Singapore's most popular family destinations.

Gardens by the Bay Children's Festival (30 May – 21 June): Celebrate 100 years of Winnie the Pooh at the Supertree Grove with nostalgic outdoor fun and Hundred Acre Wood challenges.
National Museum of Singapore (30 May – 28 June): "Get Curious: All About the River" offers interactive installations and workshops exploring Singapore’s river heritage for children aged 3 and up.

BYKidO Pro-Tip: The National Family Festival Carnival @ EXPO (30–31 May) is the biggest draw and will be the most crowded. If you have younger toddlers, we recommend visiting the neighbourhood mall events instead for a more manageable pace. For the EXPO, arrive early to secure your spot for the workshops, as these often have limited slots per session.
