Opening from 30 May 2026 to 3 January 2027, this global premiere transforms over 20 years of ocean research into an unforgettable, multi-sensory experience for families! Expect a 60 to 100-minute self-paced journey through the ocean’s hidden ecosystems, scientific discoveries, and interconnected systems.

Witness 7 Wonders of the Ocean in 360° Splendour

One of the must-see highlights is the breathtaking 360-degree projection that immerses you deep beneath the waves. This spectacular centrepiece surrounds you with larger-than-life visuals, bringing some of the ocean’s most remarkable environments to life.

As you step inside, you’ll journey through the “7 Wonders of the Ocean”—from the mysterious abyss and majestic whale migrations to the vibrant Great Barrier Reef. You’ll also encounter fascinating marine life like nudibranchs, drifting ice floes, glowing bioluminescent creatures, and the raw, powerful forces of the ocean.

Through cinematic storytelling and immersive visuals, you’ll witness the interconnected world beneath the surface—from microscopic plankton to powerful ocean currents—offering a deeper understanding of how marine ecosystems shape our planet.

Multi-Sensory Ocean Exploration

Beyond visuals, this exhibition taps into your senses in unexpected ways. Through “Symphonies of the Ocean,” you’ll hear authentic ocean sounds— mixing authentic sounds recorded both above and beneath the waves to understand how marine environments communicate and respond to change.

In "Legends of the Ocean", you can later explore how the sea has shaped human imagination across cultures, from mythical creatures to familiar icons and stories that continue to influence how people understand the ocean.

More Kids Activities

Little ones will also get to sketch their very own sea creatures and watch them come to live on the giant screen at the "Sketch Alive". There will also be a stamp rally where kids can get their post cards stamped to reveal a final images.

Take Your Experience Further with VR

If you’re up for an even deeper dive, you can opt for the “Secrets of the Blue” VR experience at Science Centre Singapore. This add-on requires an additional ticket and takes you into vital marine ecosystems like mangroves, seagrass meadows, and kelp forests—key players in regulating the Earth’s climate.

It’s an eye-opening way to understand how the ocean helps sustain life on this planet.

Explore Arctic Research at the Tara Polar Station Replica

As you explore the exhibition at Science Centre Singapore, don’t miss the impressive replica of the Tara Polar Station. This drifting research laboratory was designed to study the Arctic environment across ten consecutive expeditions.

Inside, you’ll discover how scientists conduct Arctic research in one of the most extreme and remote regions on Earth. From climate monitoring to marine ecosystem studies, the station plays a crucial role in understanding environmental change.

The exhibition also features previously unseen images that reveal real living conditions in the polar region, along with the scientific programmes used during the expeditions. You’ll get a closer look at the station’s innovative design, including its geode-inspired structure and unique moonpool, which allows direct access to the Arctic Ocean.
