Go on an after-dark adventure at i Light Singapore 2026: 14 interactive light installations and a massive festival village take over Marina Bay this June school holidays.

Venue: Marina Bay Waterfront and Raffles Place
Dates: 5 - 28 Jun 2026, 7.30 pm - 10.30 pm daily
Admission: Free

The June school holidays are about to get a lot brighter. i Light Singapore 2026 returns from 5 to 28 June, turning the Marina Bay waterfront and Raffles Place into a massive, open-air gallery. This year’s theme, "Movement," is a dream for parents with active children. Instead of the usual "look but don’t touch" museum rules, many of these installations actually require your kids to move, jump, and play to bring the art to life.

From "fishing" for the sun to spraying digital graffiti, it is a fantastic way to enjoy the cooler evening air while keeping the little ones completely engaged.

Interactive Play & Discovery

The festival line-up is packed with "cause-and-effect" artworks that are as educational as they are fun.

  • WAVE (The Promontory): Let the kids tap silver sticks to send ripples of light and sound across the ground. It’s a great way to talk about how our small actions impact the environment.

  • Let’s Fish the Sun! (Lower Boardwalk): Kids can grab a fishing rod and winch a glowing "sun" out of the water, changing its colour from deep red to bright white as they "reel" it in.

  • Where the Wildflowers Grow (Mist Walk): This glowing garden sways and lights up when touched. It’s made from upcycled carpets and metal, making it a perfect conversation starter about recycling.

  • Cube Graphics (MBS Event Plaza): A giant inflatable pyramid that kids can actually walk through. The patterns inside create cool optical illusions that change with every step.

Creative Spaces for All Ages

If your children enjoy arts and crafts, there are dedicated zones to let their creativity run wild without the mess.

  • Infinite Graffiti (Marina Bay Link Mall): In partnership with Families for Life, this five-metre-long wall lets families use "digital spray cans" to paint together. It’s authentic, tactile, and completely paint-free!

  • Silent Moments (The Promontory): Take a breather among larger-than-life glowing silhouettes of people napping or cycling. It’s a brilliant spot for a family photo op.

  • Arch Flower (Raffles Place Park): Wander through a massive, blooming architectural passage filled with soft pink and green lights.

Colors and Photo Spots

  • Barbershop Wonderland (Clifford Square): A nostalgic yet futuristic mood with 200 rotating multi-coloured barbershop poles that spring to life with light and motion as visitors approach.
  •  Between Mountains and Seas (Event Square): A five-chapter audiovisual journey tracing the movement of civilisations and landscapes over time. Through expansive light displays and immersive soundscapes inspired by the ocean and mountains, this evocative work invites visitors to reflect on the forces that shaped our world long before civilisation.

More to See, Do and Experience at Marina Bay

Beyond the artworks, the Festival offers an array of  programmes for families, friends and visitors of all ages to explore, experience, and enjoy Marina Bay together.

Watch art come to life as local creative collective DPLMT hosts two live graffiti art showcases on 6 and 19 June 2026 at Infinite Graffiti, located at the entrance of Marina Bay Link Mall.

For those seeking a more contemplative experience, the Submersion vinyasa yoga session on 27 June 2026 offers a welcome contrast. Held at The Promontory in partnership with Wild Pearl Studio and Beam World, the session features a live DJ guiding participants through an “electronic sound bath” synced to their own phones and earbuds, creating the feeling of a private sanctuary in the heart of the city.

Fan-favourite Silent Disco Parade will also return on 20 June 2026, inviting participants to groove alongside the Festival’s signature light installations around the Bay. Starting at ArtScience Museum and culminating in a grand finale at The Promontory, this rhythmic procession through the illuminated precinct offers an unforgettable way to experience the Festival.

GastroBeats: Food, Arcades, and Sports

No visit to i Light Singapore is complete without a stop at GastroBeats at the Bayfront Event Space. Celebrating its fifth anniversary, the festival village is bigger than ever:

  • Foodie Paradise: Over 40 vendors serving everything from street food to artisanal treats in the Elevated Dining Zone.
  • Active Zones: New for 2026, you can try your hand at pickleball or let the kids loose in the arcade game zone.
  • Live Music: Catch daily performances by local bands while you eat.

BYKidO Pro-Tip: Start your journey at Raffles Place Park to see Arch Flower first, then take a leisurely stroll towards Marina Bay Link Mall for the Infinite Graffiti. This route leads you naturally toward GastroBeats, where you can settle down for dinner and arcade games once the sun fully sets!

Venue and Dates

i Light Singapore will stretch between Marina Bay Waterfront and Raffles Place Park with Gastrobeats happening at the Bayfront Event Space.

The festival will happen from 5 to 28 June 2026, 7.30pm to 10.30pm daily (GastroBeats opens earlier at 4.00pm). Admission is free.
