March On 2026: A fun-filled arts festival for families, featuring international shows, local performances, and plenty of free activities.

The March school holidays are about to get a lot more creative. March On 2026 returns to Esplanade! Whether you are looking for a gentle first theatre experience for your baby or an energetic "superhero" concert for your primary schooler, this festival is curated for you and your young ones to pause, feel, and find meaning through the arts!

Come on down to Esplanade to catch engaging music, dance, and puppetry for children aged 6 months all the way to 7 and above!

Captivating Performances for Families

From mesmerising puppetry to captivating dance, these shows are designed to keep little ones engaged with the performances, and in some cases, moving along!

Chotto Desh

Dates: 21 & 22 Mar 2026
Admission: from $45

A must-see international production by the acclaimed Akram Khan Dance Company (UK). This is a compelling tale of a boy’s dreams and memories, spanning from Britain to Bangladesh. It’s a beautiful way to introduce older children (7+) to themes of resilience and identity through dance and storytelling.

Little Bozu & Kon Kon

Dates: 20 - 22 Mar 2026
Admission: $35

Inspired by Japanese folklore, this tender tale of friendship, acceptance and self-discovery is told through enchanting puppetry. It is an ideal pick for children (4+) who appreciate a magical, storytelling atmosphere. There will also be post-show interaction with the puppets on set after each performance.

Squirrel

Dates: 20 - 25 Mar 2026

A whimsical and delightful puppetry experience that follows a frantic squirrel on a mission to find his lost acorn. With its playful nature and charming characters, this is a fantastic choice for younger audiences (6 months to 4 years old). They will be actively encouraged to take part in the show too!

There’s a Dinosaur in the Concert Hall!

Get ready for a high-energy "superhero" concert! Join the Pitch Patrol as they use the magical power of music to save the day. This wacky, genre-bending mission is full of stories and mythical creatures where kids (4+) will learn about different styles of music, and save the day!

Pro-tip: Don't forget to let the kids come dressed in their favourite superhero costumes to join the fun.

Come Dance at da:ns focus – footwork

Get your kids moving at da:ns focus - footwork workshops. Led by experienced instructors from local dance studios, these introductory sessions cover various genres and are specially designed for beginners of all ages. It’s a low-pressure way to let them explore movement and rhythm.
