Families can look forward to an exciting line-up of immersive programmes at the Children’s Museum Singapore and partner venues this Children’s Season 2026. From batik-inspired art and maritime storytelling to sustainability play and large-scale carnival experiences, each activity is designed to spark curiosity, creativity, and meaningful family bonding.

Stamping the Coast

Venue: Children’s Museum Singapore
Date: 1 to 24 May 2026
Admission: Free

Children explore traditional batik art in a fun, accessible way by using stamp blocks and ink pads to create their own coastal-themed designs. Inspired by maritime motifs, participants experiment with repeating patterns, borders, and layered visuals on an illustrated worksheet, building an understanding of batik aesthetics through hands-on creativity.

Raja and the Lost Journal

Venue: Indian Heritage Centre
Date: 30 & 31 May, 5 & 6 June 2026
Time: 10.30am – 11.30am

Join Raja as a lost journal reveals clues about early migrants in Singapore. Through interactive storytelling, games, and imagination, families explore history in a fun and unexpected way. This is a Signature Programme under Children’s Season 2026.

Ms Nat. and the Zero Waste Heroes

Venue: Children’s Museum Singapore
Date: 30 & 31 May, 5 & 6 June 2026
Time: 2.30pm – 3.30pm
Admission: $20 per pax | $64 bundle (2 adults + 2 children)

Families join Ms Nat to tackle the “Waste-O-Meter” through interactive storytelling, movement, and hands-on challenges. The session ends with a hero chant and a recycled badge craft, empowering children to adopt simple eco-friendly habits in daily life.

In collaboration with Museum Roundtable partners, this special edition features workshops, drop-in activities, and a weekend carnival designed to celebrate play, learning, and connection across families and communities.

The River Road: An Interactive Drama Experience

Journey through time along the river road, and meet some of the people who helped to shape Singapore’s identity as a bustling trading port, including a sepoy and a Bugis trader. Catch this dynamic performance where actors engage directly with the audience, bringing history to life through interactive role-play, guided movement and sensory exploration! Previously presented as “Interactive Storytelling: The River Road” during the Museum’s National Day Open House in 2025.

Taste the Trade: Pineapple Canning Heritage & Tart-making Intergenerational Workshop

Discover how pineapple canning and the canneries along the Singapore River shaped the country’s trading heritage. Follow a giant gourami family on their historical journey, as they retrace the Singapore River’s clean-up and transformation. Yet, maps are more than just navigational tools – they represent the stories of the places that they depict. Discover the wonderful world of cartography in this workshop by Superhero Me. With reference to maps featured in our special exhibition, Once Upon a Tide: Singapore’s Journey from Settlement to Global City, participants will learn more about legends and cardinal directions, and craft their very own map! This is an inclusive workshop designed for children of all abilities.
