Rainforest Wild Adventure expands with a new zone featuring Africa-inspired habitats, harnessed tree-top climbs, and the Southeast Asian debut of the elusive okapi.

Families looking for a fresh adventure have something major to look forward to this school holiday season. Rainforest Wild Adventure is soft launching its second phase onĀ 20 May 2026, bringing a massive 20-hectare experience to the Mandai Wildlife Reserve.
Previously known as Rainforest Wild Asia and Africa, the new destination will now be known as Rainforest Wild Adventure West and Rainforest Wild Adventure East.
While Rainforest Wild Adventure West was focused on Asian rainforests, this new expansion in the East takes inspiration from the Afro-tropical and Madagascan landscapes. It is designed as a "choose your own adventure" destination, where you can either stroll along wide, accessible walkways or strap into a harness to see the animals from the canopy.
Active Play: Harnesses and High-Altitude Fun

Adventure and wildlife experiences come together at Rainforest Wild Adventure, where visitors choose their own level of exploration. From accessible, fun activities for most visitors under Adventure+, to more intense harnessed experiences for thrill-seekers under Black Adventure, there is something for everyone.

The expansion brings theĀ number of Adventure+ activities to nine across both zones. Here are the new additions at Rainforest Wild Adventure East:
-
Canopy Glider & Ravine Swing: For those who love the sensation of flight, the Canopy Glider offers a bird's-eye view of the landscape, while the Ravine Swing soars eight metres above the habitats of the red river hogs.
-
Primate Climb: Scale a simulated strangler fig tree to reach an 11-metre vantage point, giving you a unique look at the Diana monkeys.
-
Split Rock Summit: A harnessed via ferrata climb that rewards you with spectacular views over "Lemur Land."
-
Treetop Traverse: A 125-metre harnessed course through the trees where you might spot wildlife roaming directly beneath your feet.
For those who want to go further, Black Adventure activities at Rainforest Wild Adventure West offer guided high-element experiences, including ascending a karst rock face and a simulated cave expedition.
Wildlife Encounters: Meet the okapi

The star of the new East zone is undoubtedly the okapi. Making its debut in Southeast Asia, this endangered species is the giraffeās closest living relative, though it looks like a blend of a deer and a zebra with its striking striped legs.
Known as one of natureās most elusive large mammals, Rainforest Wild Adventure is home to four okapis, comprising two pairs that arrived from zoos in Europe. Beyond the okapi, families can explore multi-species habitats featuring:
-
Madagascar Wonders: Spot lemurs, turacos, and ibises in an immersive environment.
-
River Giants: Keep an eye out for pygmy hippos, eastern bongos, and Nile lechwes.
-
Spontaneous Discovery: The park is designed for animals to express natural behaviours, meaning every visit offers a different experience as animals roam freely through expansive habitats.
National Geographic Pop-Up & Gear

To celebrate the soft opening, Mandai has partnered with The Walt Disney Company Southeast Asia to launch the first National Geographic Pop-Ups in Singapore. Located at both the East and West retail shops, these spaces will feature adventure-ready apparel and accessories, surrounded by iconic National Geographic imagery to get the little ones excited about exploration.
