The HMGICS Discovery Tour offers visitors a unique behind-the-scenes look at one of Singapore’s most advanced smart facility experiences and the nation’s first electric vehicle production plant.

Designed to be both educational and interactive, this ~90-minute tour introduces families to future mobility, smart manufacturing, and sustainability through immersive experiences that bring innovation to life.

Smart Food Lab: A Hands-On Exploration Of Food
And Sustainability

Perfect for children aged 3 to 6, the Smart Food Lab introduces young learners to the origins of food through sensory play and hands-on activities.

Inspired by HMGICS’ Smart Farm, this 60-minute workshop encourages children to explore food through sight, smell, touch, sound and taste, while learning how technology supports more sustainable food production.

The experience concludes with a fun wrap-making activity using freshly harvested produce from the Smart Farm, helping children build a deeper appreciation of where their food comes from.

Note: Each child must be accompanied by one adult throughout the session.

SPOT Robot Coding Workshop: Learn Robotics
Through Play

Perfect for children aged 6 to 12, the SPOT Robot Coding Workshop introduces the basics of robotics and coding through hands-on play.

Inspired by SPOT, the four-legged robot used within HMGICS’ smart facility, children will learn how coding commands bring robots to life and support real-world operations.

During the 90-minute session, each child will build and code a miniature robot inspired by SPOT, discovering how simple instructions can control movement and complete tasks.

The workshop offers a fun and engaging introduction to STEM learning, sparking curiosity, creativity and problem-solving skills.

Note: This is a drop-off workshop. Parents may enjoy the Discovery Tour or other activities during the session.

Na Oh: Farm-To-Table Dining Experience

For a truly authentic farm-to-table experience, the crops grown at HMGICS’ Smart Farm are also sent to its in-house restaurant, Na Oh, where they are thoughtfully used to prepare wholesome Korean-inspired dishes.

This completes the journey from seed to plate, offering visitors a deeper appreciation of how sustainability, innovation, and food come together within the same ecosystem.
