New Indoor Playground - Dreamdora Kids Playground

Dreamdora Kids Playground offers a cosy, easy-going atmosphere that makes it particularly appealing for younger children. There’s also a good mix of active and imaginative play, from climbing and slides to role-play at the Pet Hospital.

The main play structure is packed with different ways to play, with kids able to climb, crawl and navigate through tunnels and climbing challenges. It also features two curvy tunnel slides, an LED slide and a ball play zone, giving them plenty of opportunities to stay active and explore.

Tucked within the multi-level play structure, the two-storey Pet Hospital was one of our favourite areas. Here, kids can step into the roles of little veterinarians, caring for their furry patients through imaginative play.

Don't miss the Adventure Play Course where little adventurers can put their climbing, balancing and coordination skills to the test. Kids can navigate a netted climbing tunnel, padded climbing wall and rope obstacles, including tyre stepping platforms and swinging ropes set within a colourful foam block pit.

Dreamdora Kids Playground is located on the 3rd level of Dunearn Village. Admission is $28 for 1 hour or $36 for 2 hours, with each pass admitting 1 child and 1 adult. Additional access for those aged 13 and above is $12 per hour.

CHAGEE Singapore Opens Family-friendly Store at Pasir Ris Mall

Singapore Night Festival 2026

The Singapore Night Festival (SNF) 2026 returns for its 17th edition, transforming the Bras Basah.Bugis precinct into an after-dark celebration of stories, culture and creativity.

This year's theme, “Myths and Legends”, invites families to discover folklore and traditions from Singapore and Southeast Asia through immersive artworks, projection mapping, performances and interactive experiences.

The festival runs across three weekends, from 21 August to 5 September 2026. With free admission for most programmes, Singapore Night Festival 2026 makes for an easy family night out. From dazzling projections and interactive installations to hands-on workshops and cultural experiences, there are plenty of ways for families to explore Singapore’s heritage through stories, creativity and play.

REINVENTION: ALLPLAY 2026 @ Singapore Science Park

Looking for a fresh, completely free way to get the kids moving and creating? REINVENTION: ALLPLAY 2026 transforms Singapore Science Park into an interactive, four-month festival dedicated entirely to play. Running from August through November, this multi-zone event turns public spaces into living playgrounds, giving families a great mix of hands-on creativity, digital AR missions, and active sports—all without spent a single cent on admission.

Start your visit at The Canopy at Geneo for PlayLab, where kids can explore interactive exhibits themed around Think, Make, Move, Experience, and Connect. The Planet Cup turns environmental action into a high-energy football challenge. Kids join Team Arlo the King Penguin or Team Khansa the Orangutan to shrink the "Greedy Gobbler"—a giant creature formed from waste and bad habits—learning how small daily choices and teamwork can protect natural habitats.

Looking for a magical family evening out this Mid-Autumn Festival? Lights by the Lake 2026 is returning to Jurong Lake Gardens, spanning across Lakeside Garden, the newly reopened Chinese Garden, and the tranquil Japanese Garden.

The star of the festival is the array of large-scale, handcrafted lantern installations illuminated across the water and gardens. Follow The Legend of the White Snake at the 5-scene storytelling trail following Bai Suzhen, Xu Xian, Xiao Qing, and Abbot Fa Hai — from their rainy meeting at Broken Bridge to their battle at Jinshan Temple.

Families can also expect large inflatable bouncy castles and interactive games on weekends, as well as a Festive Food market too.

Celestial Nights 2026: Mid-Autumn Edition at Science Centre Singapore

Science Centre Singapore’s Celestial Nights returns this Mid-Autumn Festival with a mix of astronomy and festive traditions. Across the event, families can stroll an illuminated trail connecting the Science Centre to Japanese Garden, join a live planetarium session, look through powerful telescopes, and even take part in an after-hours silent disco.

Here are the key highlights to check out with the kids:

• Celestial Trail (25 & 26 Sep): A free, self-guided walk connecting the Science Centre's Metamorphosis zone to the Water Lily Pavilion at Japanese Garden. Children can follow lit panels depicting the planets, navigate the laser and mirror mazes, and complete trail activities for a discount on a limited-edition Quby pin.

• Live Digital Planetarium Show & Stargazing (25 & 26 Sep, $4): Head inside the Omni-Theatre for Moon Legends: From Myth to Mission, a 20-minute show that blends traditional folklore like Chang'e and the Jade Rabbit with modern lunar exploration. Tickets also include access to the Main Observatory for a 1-minute viewing session through the 16-inch telescope to view lunar craters or Saturn's rings (limited to the first 225 tickets per night).

• Lantern-Making & Music (25 Sep): From 6.30pm to 9.30pm at Metamorphosis, kids can assemble their own lanterns while enjoying live musical performances by Chalmers Wong.

• Moonbeats Silent Disco (26 Sep, from $20): Put on wireless headphones for a dance party featuring 3 live DJs. Ticket holders can join an outdoor parade from the Science Centre to Japanese Garden at 7pm (limited to the first 100 registrants) before the party moves into Hall A. Each ticket includes a complimentary drink.

Gardens by the Bay Mid-Autumn Festival 2026

Venue: Golden Garden, Supertree Grove, Bayfront Plaza, Dragonfly Lake & Flower Dome

Admission: Free (selected workshop fees and Flower Dome ticket charges apply)

Gardens by the Bay turns into a glowing wonderland this Mid-Autumn with large-scale lantern sets. Follow original character Fenbao across several key areas of the Gardens, including a giant celestial whale display at Dragonfly Lake and illuminated underwater scenes at Supertree Grove.

Beyond the light displays, families can explore several interactive cultural zones and activities:

• Colonnade of Lights: Take a stroll through 1,000 hand-painted lanterns crafted by members of the community.

• Craft Corner & Workshops: Children can participate in self-guided craft sessions on selected dates (13, 19–20, and 25–27 September) at the Colonnade. Attraction ticket holders get a 1-for-1 deal, while Friends of the Gardens receive 10% off.

• Marketplace & Carnival: Grab dinner at the food stalls near Supertree Grove, where kids can also enjoy carnival games and family rides. Friends of the Gardens members get 10% off food stalls and $3 off every $30 spent on carnival game cards.

• Live Performances: Don't miss the LED Lion Dance to launch the festival on 12 September at 8.30 pm. On the final day (27 September), catch the Singapore Big Flag Championship (1.00 pm – 7.30 pm) followed by a closing Dragon Dance at 7.30 pm.

If you are planning to visit the indoor Flower Dome, the Lilytopia display (5 – 27 September) features an ancient Egyptian theme alongside family activities.

Mid-Autumn Family FUN (MAFF) is an annual festive event jointly organised by Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre and Singapore Chinese Orchestra.

Taking place from 19–20 September 2026 at SCCC and the Singapore Conference Hall, the weekend festival will feature 25 family-friendly activities, including a Mid-Autumn rooftop installation, mooncake tasting, interactive lantern walks, moon and stargazing, hands-on workshops, free craft activities, cultural performances and more.

Highlights include, 

• Experience the magic of Mid-Autumn Festival at SCCC’s rooftop installation which features five lighted giant Bit Bit Forest inflatable bunnies, happening from 11 Sep to 13 Dec 2026

From 5 to 25 September 2026, Lentor Modern mall presents a line-up of festive experiences, from hands-on workshops and cultural activities to a community lantern walk on the actual day of the Mid-Autumn Festival. 

Get creative on weekends with a snowskin mooncake-making workshop hosted by Chef Wen (#01-19) or a burger-making workshop hosted by Burger King (#01-14/15). Redeem a complimentary workshop slot with a minimum spend of $30 ($60 with Cold Storage Fresh receipts).

On 19 September 2026, from 2pm to 4pm, children can take part in Little Cultural Explorers, a special one-day programme held in collaboration with Hua Xia Language Centre (#B1-05). The programme features calligraphy and mooncake origami sessions inspired by Mid-Autumn traditions.

Mid-Autumn Lumière at Paragon

This Mid-Autumn Festival, Paragon transforms art into community impact with a celebration centred around 50 one-of-a-kind rabbit sculptures, created in collaboration with Raffles Design Institute (RDI) and ART:DIS (Arts & Disability) Singapore.

Through Paragon’s Adopt-a-rabbit initiative, all 50 sculptures will be available for adoption at S$800 each, with proceeds donated to ART. Contributions will also be matched dollar-for-dollar by CapitaLand Hope Foundation, up to S$40,000, further amplifying the impact of the initiative.

Beyond the art showcase, Mid-Autumn Lumière will feature festive gifting, live instrumental performances, candle-customisation workshops and family-friendly activities throughout September.

Making its international debut outside Japan, DINOSAUR ODYSSEY is a 70-minute indoor live performance by DINO-A-LIVE that brings 15 life-sized dinosaurs into the hall to move, breathe, and roam right next to the audience. Instead of viewing static museum displays or watching creatures on a screen, families get to experience what it feels like to stand in the presence of living prehistoric giants.

The main highlight of the show is the sheer scale and realism of the creatures. The production features a lineup of 15 dinosaurs, including the Tyrannosaurus Rex, Triceratops, Stegosaurus, Brachiosaurus, Ankylosaurus, Parasaurolophus, Suchomimus, Allosaurus, Utahraptor, and Dakotaraptor.

Because the dinosaurs move freely throughout the space, children and parents can see their scale and movements from a remarkably close distance.

While the non-verbal format is easy for children of all ages to follow, these life-sized dinosaurs move close to the audience and roar dynamically. If you have younger toddlers who are sensitive to loud noises or large moving figures, booking Category 3 or Category 4 seats slightly further back provides a full view of the stage while keeping the experience comfortable.

Step Into Ancient Egypt at Lilytopia

Gardens by the Bay has unveiled Lilytopia, its first Ancient Egypt-themed floral display inside the Flower Dome. While Egypt is usually associated with golden desert dunes and weathered stone ruins, this showcase focuses on a lesser-known side of its history: the vibrant, lush gardens and bold colours that originally filled its ancient palaces and temples.

Through a mix of vividly coloured lilies, recreated temple structures, and a dedicated art exhibition, families can explore an interpretation of ancient Egyptian culture brought to life through nature and art.

Standard admission tickets to the Flower Dome are required to view the display.

HOME: 家 — An Artgrain Community Art Exhibition

Head down to Dempsey Hill for HOME: 家, a heartwarming community art showcase featuring around 450 original artworks created by artists aged 5 to 50. Organized by local art school Artgrain in partnership with Dempsey Hill, this free exhibition invites families to explore the theme of "home" through personal memories, family, and everyday life.

It is a fantastic opportunity to inspire your young ones with creativity while supporting a worthy cause. About one-third of the featured artists are children and youths, showing your kids what their peers can achieve through self-expression and dedication. Even better, over 225 original artworks and art cards will be available for purchase, with a portion of the sale proceeds going directly to the Children’s Cancer Foundation and the Singapore Cancer Society.

It is a wonderful, relaxed holiday activity where families can enjoy inspiring art, engage in conversations about what "home" means, and support local charities together.

Sketch Up Returns to the Civic District this September School Holidays

Arts House Group (AHG) invites families to experience the Civic District through fresh perspectives at Sketch Up, held on 12 September from 4 - 6pm.

At the heart of Sketch Up is the mass sketching session, where artists, sketching enthusiasts and members of the public come together to capture their views of ACM. Participants are encouraged to find their own vantage points around the museum and across the surrounding precinct, creating diverse interpretations of one of Singapore's most distinctive cultural landmarks.

Families can also take part in a new artist-led workshop component. Designed as a small-group experience, the workshop series will spotlight a different artist and creative approach each edition, offering participants a deeper way to engage with the Civic District before putting their observations into practice at the mass sketching event.

Suitable for beginners with no prior sketching experience, the inaugural workshop, The Art of Noticing by Ying of Ying In Art, encourages participants to slow down and look more closely at the architecture, details and stories hidden in familiar surroundings.  

The experience continues beyond event day through a digital showcase, where participants can upload their sketches and share their interpretations of ACM with a wider audience. Members of the public will also be invited to vote for their favourite entries, with prizes awarded to the top three sketches.

BT21 STAR WALK

Calling all UNISTARS and BT21 fans! BT21 STAR WALK brings the colourful world of BT21 to Marina Square and Marina Bay with a fun-filled 2km or 5km character-themed walk. The Voices of Singapore (VOS) Festival returns for its 11th edition from 5 to 9 September 2026, bringing together choirs of all ages for five days of performances, workshops and shared musical experiences.
