Admission: $4 onwards

Looking for a high-tech way to keep the kids engaged this April? RoboFest 2026 is Singapore’s first-ever festival dedicated entirely to robotics and AI! Designed specifically for curious families, this four-day event lets children move beyond the screen to touch, play with, and even program real robots. Whether they are watching a robot dog perform a live comedy show or meeting the gallery robots, it is an immersive look into the "tomorrow" they are already growing up in. Families can discover how humans and robots will collaborate as partners in daily life, from robotic companions enhancing our homes to AI assistants transforming how we work and live together.

The festival is packed with hands-on experiences, from the high-energy Robot Boxing to the Learning Hub, where kids can get a first look at the new LEGO® Education Computer Science & AI Kit. Children can also engage in activities  to programme the humanoid robot "TonyBot," try drone coding fundamentals, and understand how cameras process visual data. If you have older children interested in STEM, don't miss the RoboCup Singapore finals happening over the weekend, where they can witness top-tier teams compete in the national selections for the World Championships. It’s an educational powerhouse that feels like a massive playground.

Tickets are priced $4 onwards. Book your tickets via the Science Centre portal now!

BYKidO Tip: Since your RoboFest ticket includes entry to the rest of the Science Centre, make a full day of it! We recommend hitting the "My Colleague is a Robot Dog" comedy show at the 11:00 am slot before the afternoon peak to ensure you get a good view.

POSB Living Classroom at the Mandai Wildlife Reserve

Venue: Mandai Wildlife Reserve, 80 Mandai Lake Road, Singapore 729826
Opening Hours: Available at all times
Admission: Free

Get ready to turn your little ones into "Super Savers" with the launch of the POSB Living Classroom. This new addition to the Mandai Wildlife Reserve blends outdoor adventure with essential life skills.

The highlight of the launch is the Super Savers Trail, where children are invited to join Ranger Buddies Al and Min on a mission to fund a new "Ranger Buggy" for the animals of Mandaria. It’s a clever way to introduce the concept of financial literacy—teaching kids how to earn, save, and spend wisely—all while exploring the lush surroundings of the Mandai Wildlife Reserve. Using the Ranger Buddies app as their digital guide, kids will navigate the Smiley Living Classroom to complete challenges that reward smart money choices.

Beyond the trail, families can dive into Smiley’s Forest Adventure within Curiosity Cove or catch engaging storytelling sessions featuring Smiley the Squirrel. It is a fantastic, way to add an educational twist to your next outing to the Mandai Wildlife Reserve, plus there are exclusive rewards waiting for those who complete their mission (while stocks last!).

City Square Mall Unveils a New Playground and More

Venue: City Square Mall
Opening Hours

  • City Green Playground: Open daily (Best visited in the mornings or late afternoons).
  • CDL EcoTrain: 11 am – 7 pm Daily

Admission: Free

The $50 million makeover at City Square Mall is officially complete and the star of the makeover is definitely the brand-new community play space at City Green (Level 1). Replacing the old structures is a striking architectural playground inspired by giant flower petals.

The main structure stands three tiers high, it features a complex network of climbing nets that challenge kids to navigate upwards and across. At the very top, kids can peer through a real telescope or use the "talking tubes" to shout messages to parents below. And to get down? A thrilling spiral slide!

There's also a two-storey structure for younger ones. It features simple obstacles on the ground level and a shorter slide. Families will also find a raised wooden play platform directly around existing trees. This elevated walkway is a wonderful, low-sensory way to introduce children to nature while they explore interactive activity panels and a mini-slide.

Families can also explore the CDL EcoTrain, a repurposed MRT cabin transformed into a zero-energy climate education hub, and the new 5,000 sq ft Family Wellness Hub known as CONNECT. Note that parts of CONNECT are available by appointment only.

Hidden Free Adventure Playground at Mandai Wildlife EAST

Venue: Mandai Wildlife EAST, Mezzanine level next to Exploria
Opening Hours: 24 hours Daily
Admission: Free

Discover a hidden, free-to-access playground tucked away on an outdoor mezzanine, perfect for a quick energy burn before or after your Mandai adventures.

The play area is designed primarily for children aged 5 to 12 years old with a natural, forest-inspired aesthetic with wooden "trunks" integrated into the design. You will find a tandem swing for parents and little ones to swing together as well as a see-saw too.

For the older kids (recommended ages 8 to 12) who need a bit more of a challenge, the Giant Climbing Wall is the main attraction. Little ones can conquer the 3-tiered structure and enjoy a great physical workout.

Since this playground is located on an outdoor mezzanine, it can get quite hot during the midday sun as there is limited overhead shade. We recommend visiting in the early morning or after 4:00 pm.

Temasek Shophouse Opens Community Outdoor Space

Venue: Temasek Shophouse, opposite The Cathay and Plaza Singapura
Opening Hours: Daily
Admission: Free

Looking for a fresh spot to take the kids that isn't another crowded mall? Temasek Shophouse has officially completed its multi-year transformation with the opening of the refreshed outdoor community space.

The new outdoor area has been designed with biodiversity in mind, making it a living classroom for curious kids. The landscape is filled with fully native plants chosen to support local wildlife and pollinators. Guide the kids to the Bug Hotels and see if any of the pollinators are visiting!

There are plenty of spaces to sit and rest, and do take a closer look at the furniture and fixtures; they are made from timber repurposed from older trees previously on the site, teaching kids a great lesson about circularity.

While the space is beautiful all day, we recommend visiting in the evenings when it is more cooling and comfortable to be outdoors. The outdoor space is located at Temasek Shophouse, opposite The Cathay and Plaza Singapura, and is open daily.

Bukit Batok Library Reopens with New Immersive Experiences

Bukit Batok Library has reopened its doors at West Mall, and it is a complete game-changer for West-side families. No longer confined to just one floor, the library has doubled in size, expanding across Levels 1, 2, and 3.

The redesign moves away from the traditional "quiet please" atmosphere, leaning instead into a "calming sanctuary" theme inspired by Little Guilin. With immersive audio experiences, interactive "exploding" book screens, and dedicated storytelling nooks, it is the perfect new place to visit for a relaxed yet engaging afternoon with the kids.

    Admission: $12

This Eggcellent Easter afternoon event is a fantastic pick for the kids. The highlight is the traditional egg hunt, which is thoughtfully organised into age-specific categories (from toddlers at age 3 right up to 12-year-olds). This ensures a fair and safe environment for the little ones to hunt without being overwhelmed by the older children.

Beyond the hunt, the event is packed with high-energy entertainment. Kids can enjoy a live magic show, participate in an Easter-themed best-dressed contest, and try out a new selection of tabletop board games designed for family bonding. Every participant also gets a lucky dip token for the side games, ensuring no one goes home empty-handed.

Plus, with churros, ice cream, and candy floss on-site, it’s a guaranteed sugar rush and a great way to spend a family afternoon.

With a limit of only 30 children per age group, these slots will move fast - so better register here now!
