If you are looking for a way to combine outdoor play with meaningful learning, the latest Ranger Buddies mission at PLQ Parkside is a fantastic choice.

In Mission #5, children will travel to the Netherlands to team up with Rudy the Mini Rex Rabbit! Through a blend of physical activity and augmented reality (AR), kids will discover why bees are waking up too early from hibernation and how they can help these essential pollinators thrive despite the challenges of climate change.

Interactive Mission Activities

Spring into Action is broken down into five engaging stations that use the Ranger Buddies app to bring the experience to life. 

Digital & AR Challenges

• Find the Bee-lance: Kids use the App to see how changes in the population of bees affects the health of the entire ecosystem. This helps them understand the role of bees in maintaining a healthy ecosystem. 

• Flight of the Bee: A fun AR maze where children guide a virtual bee to reach a flower.

• Happy Homes: A creative digital activity where kids create a virtual pot of flowers on the Ranger Buddies app, selecting specific items that help bees flourish. This allows them to learn how they can take small actions in real-life to help bees thrive. 

Physical Exploration

• Buzzing Climate: A physical and AR station where children flip physical panels to learn about climate change and the impact on bees. Some panels contain hidden flowers that must be scanned with the app to unlock the next stage.

• Bee the Change: Kids spin a physical wheel to find a hidden code, then use the decoder on the app to reveal a secret word on how we can do our part to help bees flourish!

Recommended for children between 4 to 10 years old, Missions Around the World takes place at PLQ Parkside. Mission #5, Spring into Action, will be available from 12 Mar to 31 May 2026.
