Free Interactive Eco-Missions and Active Play with Ranger Buddies this Aug and Sep 2026

Get ready for free, hands-on family fun this August and September as Ranger Buddies launches two exciting interactive pop-up missions with exclusive rewards!

Looking for engaging activities that blend learning with active play? Ranger Buddies is rolling out two brand-new, free interactive missions across two locations this August and September 2026. Designed specifically for children aged 4 to 10, these pop-ups empower young explorers to build essential C.O.U.R.A.G.E. strengths, Curious, Optimistic, Undaunted, Resourceful, Adaptable, Gritty, and Empathetic, through immersive physical challenges, digital play, and hands-on learning activities.

Whether your kids want to uncover local wildlife mysteries or kick their way to a cleaner planet in a football-themed arena, these missions offer an easy, energy-burning outing for the whole family.

Secrets of the Kallang Otters at Aperia Mall

Did you know that Singapore is one of the very few major cities in the world where people and wild native animals thrive side-by-side? 

Team up with Tucker the Otter on an exciting mission to uncover the secrets behind our green, urban habitat! Timed perfectly for the National Day celebrations, this interactive indoor trail lets kids join forces with Tucker to discover how Singapore manages to achieve this amazing feat! 

Complete the Stations and Find the Secret Words

To complete the mission, young rangers will navigate four interactive trail stations. At each stop, completing the physical challenge reveals a Secret Word on the Ranger Buddies web app. Collect all Secret Words to unlock the final secret and finish your mission! It is a fun, educational, and completely free indoor activity that adds a meaningful touch of local biodiversity to your National Day family celebrations

• Hide the Fakes (Learn about Singapore's otters): Kids test their wildlife knowledge alongside Tucker by placing sandbags over fake answers to reveal the station's Secret Word.

• River Clean-Up (Learn why clean waterways are essential for otters): A 60-second timed fishing challenge where young rangers scoop litter out of the water to reveal the next Secret Word while learning why clean waterways keep otters healthy and thriving.

• Connected Paths (Discover how connected habitats help otters): Children maneuver a ball through a maze to safely guide Tucker's otter family through Singapore's connected habitats—including waterways, parks, and park connectors—back to their den.

• Good Neighbour Course (Learn how good neighbour choices help people and otters coexist): An active obstacle course featuring tunnels and balance bridges where kids answer questions that encourage being good neighbours and learn how this helps people and otters thrive side by side.

Beyond the trail stations, kids can also take part in the following,

• Physical Stamp Journey: Kids collect physical stamps at every station to complete a Singapore otter-friendly scene. Bring home the completed stamp card as a keepsake from the event! 

• Colour Me Wild:  Colour in Tucker the Otter on the special colouring sheet, and watch your coloured creation come to life in AR! Don't forget to snap a photo of your child with their very own unique Tucker! 

Exclusive Partner Workshops & Session Drops

Drop by for special wildlife talks, interactive booths and hands-on workshops hosted by  wildlife and community partners. Little ones will get to discover fascinating wildlife facts, ask questions and learn how they can help protect Singapore's wild neighbours.

The Planet Cup at Geneo

Get ready to kick, jump, and score for nature! Located at the Event Plaza at Geneo, The Planet Cup turns environmental action into a high-energy football challenge. Kids join Team Arlo the King Penguin or Team Khansa the Orangutan to shrink the "Greedy Gobbler"—a giant creature formed from waste and bad habits—learning how small daily choices and teamwork can protect natural habitats.

Football-Themed Stations & Challenges

• Team Up Quiz: Children take a quick personality quiz to join either Team Arlo or Team Khansa and gear up in matching team vests.

• What’s Inside the Belly?: A digital scanning mission where kids will use their phones to scan the Greedy Gobbler, and investigate what human actions are feeding the Gobbler!

• Goal Getter Showdown: A two-player mini-football match where kids race to score goals under a bench. There's a catch! Spin a challenge wheel to unlock a challenge (e.g., "use left leg only" or "close one eye") before the match begins!

• Run to Victory: An AR game where you will use your head to guide your character left and right! Try to dodge obstacles and reach the endpoint to complete the challenge!

• Gobbler Goal Blast: Take a shot at this station and pledge to take daily actions to reduce trash. 

• Sky High Save: This AR game requires kids to jump and use their head to collect virtual recyclable items without using their hands.

• Foot Tap Frenzy: Is your child fast enough? This is a quick reaction game where kids will kick a red button when they see a football appear on screen! If successful, the Greedy Gobbler will shrinks to nothing, giving kids a sense of victory!

• Champions' Podium: Celebrate your victory by adding your score to the team scoreboard! This adds an element of friendly competition between Team Arlo and Team Khansa to see who takes the lead! To end the mission, step into the Champions' Podium for a commemorative photo to celebrate helping your team defeat the Gobbler..
