Enjoy a Musical Day Out at Voices of Singapore Festival 2026
Looking for something different to do with the kids this September? You can spend a day enjoying live music together at the Voices of Singapore Festival (VOSF) 2026, happening from 5β9 September 2026.
Returning for its 11th edition, the festival brings together choirs of all ages for five days of performances, workshops and musical experiences. As Singaporeβs largest non-competitive choral festival, VOSF is all about coming together to enjoy the joy of singing rather than competing.
This year, the festival takes place across CHIJMES Hall, Capitol Singapore Outdoor Plaza, VOS Capitol Studios, and, for the first time, the VOS Choral Hub at Enabling Village.
With close to 50 programmes happening throughout the festival, you can choose from concerts, gala performances, recitals, outdoor showcases, workshops and choir exchanges.
Watch Children and Youth Choirs Take the Stage
One of the highlights you can look forward to is the Festival Choruses, featuring specially formed Children, Youth, Community and Virtuosi choruses.
The groups will rehearse and perform under three internationally recognised guest conductors. Selected rehearsals will also be open to the public, giving you and your kids a chance to see what goes on behind the scenes before a choral performance comes together.
Catch Family-Friendly Outdoor Performances
If your little ones aren't quite ready to sit through a full concert, you can check out the festival's free outdoor performances at Capitol Singapore Outdoor Plaza instead.
The programme includes the VOSF Open Mic, A Cappella Arena and The Voice Company. You can also catch the debut of Silver Sing, an open stage featuring members of VOS Silver Voices performing as soloists or in small groups.
These outdoor showcases can be a fun way to introduce your kids to different styles of vocal performance in a more casual setting.
Enjoy Concerts and Gala Performances
For a more traditional concert experience, head to CHIJMES Hall, where you can catch six festival concerts featuring school choirs from across Singapore.
There will also be four gala performances featuring VOS Choirs, the Filipino Voice Symphony and the Festival Choruses.
Discover the Joy of Singing Together
Beyond the performances, VOSF also puts a strong focus on bringing different generations and abilities together through music.
Through programmes such as Silver Exchanges, participants from the VOS Community Silver Voices programme can connect through singing and social activities. Meanwhile, Starlight Exchanges bring together SPED school choirs, mainstream school partners and VOS Starlight Voices for shared musical experiences that celebrate inclusion and neurodiversity.
It's a meaningful opportunity for your kids to see how music can bring people from different backgrounds and generations together.
