Explore Future Tech at Hyundai Motor Group Innovation Center Singapore (HMGICS)

This isn't new but we only recently had the opportunity to visit! At Hyundai Motor Group Innovation Center Singapore (HMGICS), families can explore how robotics, smart farming, and sustainability come together inside a real innovation facilityâturning learning into a hands-on adventure for kids.
Start with the free Discovery Tour (~90 minutes), which introduces future mobility, smart manufacturing, and sustainability. Families can explore a Smart Farm, harvest fresh greens, enjoy a VR factory experience, and even view the Skytrack and IONIQ Lounge. Bookings are required via the Hyundai Discovery Tour website.
For younger children (ages 3â6), the Smart Food Lab runs on weekends at 10.30am and 4.30pm (60 mins, $15/child). Kids explore food through sensory play and end with a fresh wrap-making activity. One adult per child is required.
For older kids (ages 6â12), the SPOT Robot Coding Workshop takes place on weekends at 10.00am and 4.00pm (90 mins, $25/child), where they build and code a mini robot inspired by HMGICSâ SPOT robot.
This is a rare family experience where food, farming, robotics, and future tech come togetherâall proceeds support the Presidentâs Challenge.
New Dreamers at Shaw Theatres JEM

The dedicated play area inside the hall is designed with bright yellow and blue tones and features 3 distinct rope play towers linked by a network of challenging rope tunnels! Catch the NDP2026 Rehearsals and Fireworks

As we step into July, the annual NDP rehearsals will be in full swing, giving families a glimpse of what to expect during the National Day celebrations on 9 August. Families can expect fireworks and more every Sat in Jul at The Kallang.Â
If you are planning to catch some of the action, here are some details that you do not want to miss!Â
Fireworks will be happening from the Kallang Basin. Based on the Combined Rehearsal on 27 Jun 2026, these are fired at 7.40 pm (a small fireworks) and the finale fireworks at 9.10 pm. Do note that we believe the finale fireworks for future rehearsals should be earlier at about 8.30 pm.Â
Families can also look to the skies at around 6.45 pm for the State Flag Flypast and listen out for the Presidential Gun Salute and the Fire of Joy at 6.50 pm and 7 pm respectively.Â

Developed by Meta in partnership with homegrown creative studio EYEYAH!, Digital Dialogue IRL is a free interactive experience designed specifically for parents, educators, and teens to explore digital wellbeing together.
The space moves away from dry safety lectures and uses vibrant, visual conversation cards, guided prompts, and interactive touchpoints. It brings everyday digital dilemmas to lifeâcovering highly relatable topics like social comparison, feed control, cyberbullying, and setting healthy online-offline boundaries.
The experience also helps families better understand the automatic protections built into the newly launched Teen Accounts across Instagram, Facebook, and Messenger, which restrict sensitive content by default for users aged 13 and above.
