This free interactive roadshow offers families a first look at the massive long-term expansion plans linking Sentosa and Pulau Brani. The Formula 1® Exhibition to Debut at Gardens by the Bay

Explore Future Tech at Hyundai Motor Group Innovation Center Singapore (HMGICS)

This isn't new but we only recently had the opportunity to visit! At Hyundai Motor Group Innovation Center Singapore (HMGICS), families can explore how robotics, smart farming, and sustainability come together inside a real innovation facility—turning learning into a hands-on adventure for kids.

Start with the free Discovery Tour (~90 minutes), which introduces future mobility, smart manufacturing, and sustainability. Families can explore a Smart Farm, harvest fresh greens, enjoy a VR factory experience, and even view the Skytrack and IONIQ Lounge. Bookings are required via the Hyundai Discovery Tour website.

For younger children (ages 3–6), the Smart Food Lab runs on weekends at 10.30am and 4.30pm (60 mins, $15/child). Kids explore food through sensory play and end with a fresh wrap-making activity. One adult per child is required.

For older kids (ages 6–12), the SPOT Robot Coding Workshop takes place on weekends at 10.00am and 4.00pm (90 mins, $25/child), where they build and code a mini robot inspired by HMGICS’ SPOT robot.

This is a rare family experience where food, farming, robotics, and future tech come together—all proceeds support the President’s Challenge.

New Dreamers at Shaw Theatres JEM

Dreamers at Shaw Theatres JEM offer a unique movie-going experience with a vibrant, multi-level playground directly inside the cinema hall! Children don't need to choose between moving or watching the movie! 

The dedicated play area inside the hall is designed with bright yellow and blue tones and features 3 distinct rope play towers linked by a network of challenging rope tunnels! The undisputed highlight of the structure is a long, vibrant red slide. Kids can climb to the top of the towers and slide directly into a massive, colourful ball pit below.

The playground is constructed primarily from open rope-based equipment, allowing parents to easily track their children's movements from their cinema seats. Furthermore, the hall features a fully bean-bag seated layout with free seating, making this a casual kid-friendly movie experience!

Catch the NDP2026 Rehearsals and Fireworks

As we step into July, the annual NDP rehearsals will be in full swing, giving families a glimpse of what to expect during the National Day celebrations on 9 August. Families can expect fireworks and more every Sat in Jul at The Kallang. 

If you are planning to catch some of the action, here are some details that you do not want to miss! 

Fireworks will be happening from the Kallang Basin. Based on the rehearsals that have passed, these are fired at 7.40 pm (a small fireworks) and the finale fireworks at around 8.20 pm.

Families can also look to the skies at around 6.45 pm for the State Flag Flypast and listen out for the Presidential Gun Salute and the Fire of Joy at 6.50 pm and 7 pm respectively.

Inside, kids can dive into a massive ball pit filled with mini juju figures, lounge on oversized inflatable characters, and race down bright yellow slides. Exhibition at Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre - Singapore TV: From Local to Global

Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre (SCCC) and Mediacorp have teamed up to launch a brand-new exhibition that traces the evolution of local Chinese television dramas from the 1960s all the way to the present day. Singapore TV: From Local to Global is a wonderful opportunity for you to show your children the iconic shows, stars, and stories that you grew up watching after school or during family dinners.

The exhibition is split into five interactive, chronological zones that make history fun for the little ones. You can step into recreated, nostalgic sets from legendary dramas like The Unbeatables and The Awakening, look at original costumes from The Return of the Condor Heroes, and even browse vintage television magazines. To keep the kids fully engaged, there are hands-on interactive experiences throughout the space—including a multimedia booth where you can both have a go at dubbing a classic scene from Good Morning, Sir!.

As you wander through the changing eras of television, it serves as a brilliant conversation starter to explain to your children what life was like when you were their age. From vintage television sets to modern micro-dramas, this exhibition beautifully bridges the generation gap through shared pop-culture memories.

If you are looking for a unique weekend activity to introduce your kids to the world before smartphones and instant filters, this retro-inspired pop-up is a fantastic place to start. Celebrating four decades of the iconic one-time-use camera, this multi-location event brings the charm of analog photography to families across Singapore. It is a wonderful way to show digital-native kids the anticipation and joy of "the wait"—where every single shot counts, and you cannot delete a mistake.

The heart of the event is the Little Big Views photo exhibition, showcasing winning snapshots taken entirely on QuickSnap cameras by children and youths aged 9 to 20. Walking through the gallery gives families a refreshing, unfiltered look at Singapore through a child's eyes, proving that beautiful memories do not need AI enhancements or heavy editing.

Beyond looking at the gallery, kids can get hands-on at the QuickSnap Education Corner during the weekend stops at Our Tampines Hub and One Punggol. For $29.80, they can join a 15-minute guided session, pick up their very own QuickSnap camera, and get digital scans of their developed photos. SHECARES Open House

Families looking to navigate the digital world safely can head to the SHECARES Open House this July. As Singapore's first dedicated support centre for survivors of online harms, the centre is opening its doors to help parents, youths, and educators understand the real-world impact of digital safety issues. The event provides a thoughtful, supportive environment to start important family conversations about online safety and digital citizenship.

Visitors can explore the "This is Not 'Just Online'" immersive exhibition, which highlights the lived experiences and stories of survivors to shed light on digital realities. The open house also features short film screenings, interactive activities designed to inspire reflection, and a dedicated Speak Up Booth where attendees can record messages of support for those affected by online harms.

To provide practical tools for families, tech partners Google and Meta have set up interactive exhibits focused on online safety features and support mechanisms. The event also highlights community efforts, featuring student-led showcases from Pei Cai Secondary School aimed at promoting safer, more compassionate online spaces.

Attendees who complete the exhibition trail can redeem a complimentary scoop of Birds of Paradise ice cream (available while stocks last) and enjoy a special promotion at the nearby Tiong Bahru Bakery.

Great World invites shoppers to enjoy an exciting series of family-friendly activities this July! 

Families can enjoy live music performances every Wednesday, and Friday to Sunday, showcasing a line-up of local and emerging musicians. Happening at two different locations on the first level of the mall — either the Atrium or the Linkbridge near SK Jewellery — visitors can expect to be serenaded by the likes of 10-year-old musician Shayne Ko, and other emerging local musicians.

Singapore Art Museum's Annual Art Carnival

Get creative with drop-in art experiences inspired by SAM's exhibitions.
