Home to an array of immersive exhibits, the combination of art and technology, ArtScience Museum will teleport you right into a richly digital world. Not only can you count on the museum’s interactive exhibits to keep your kids entertained, the museum also often runs kids-friendly programs, ranging from workshops to craft activities.

Exhibition - Into the Ocean: Journey Beneath

Into the Ocean: Journey Beneath is a landmark exhibition in collaboration with OceanX, one of the world’s leading ocean exploration organisations. Conceived as a flagship OceanX Education initiative, the exhibition invites visitors on a descent through the depths of the sea, from the sunlit surface waters to the darkest reaches of the ocean. At the heart of the exhibition is extraordinary footage captured by OceanX’s state-of-the-art research vessel, OceanXplorer, including those never shown before publicly.

The exhibition is structured as a deep-sea voyage, unfolding across five immersive zones – Descent, Photic Zone, Twilight Zone, Aphotic Zone and Resurface. Throughout the experience, visitors will encounter rarely seen deep-sea species including specimens on loan from Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum.

By integrating scientific exploration and breathtaking images with deep-sea storytelling, physical specimens, art and interactive science, Into the Ocean takes visitors on an unforgettable voyage into the ocean’s hidden frontiers, revealing a multispecies world where ocean health and humanity’s survival are inextricably intertwined.

Journey through an immersive world of art, science, culture and technology at teamLab Future World and discover thought-provoking ideas and themes behind the collection of digital interactive installations created in collaboration with teamLab, an interdisciplinary art collective.

The exhibition has undergone an extensive revamp, introducing several exciting new large-scale interactive installations including the global debut of Light Sculpture with Paper Airplane and Continuous Life and Death. Visitors can also enjoy new vantage points with shimmering enhancements to the well-loved Crystal Universe, while the popular Sliding Through the Fruit Field features a new addition titled Waterfall Droplets, Flowing Down a Slope.

Not exactly located at the ArtScience Museum, the immersive digital art installation, Digital Light Canvas is located next to the museum at The Shoppes, Marina Bay Sands.

Graffiti Nature explores an ecosystem of flora and fauna. Little ones (and those young at heart) can bring various creatures to life with your imagination. Pick up a colouring sheet of an endangered species from the Red List of the International Union for Conservation of Nature at the colouring table to create your own version of these endangered species.

Asian Civilisations Museum

The Asian Civilisations Museum (ACM) houses a collection of artifacts exploring the different cultures and heritage of Asia. Over 13,000 artefacts are showcased across 11 galleries in this 14,000 sqm space. The museum runs age-appropriate workshops and tours as well as the “Let’s Learn About
” series for children that introduces a different topic each month. Stay tune to the latest events and activities at the ACM!

Gallery: ACM & ME

Developed in alignment with MOE and ECDA's Nurturing Early Learners framework, ACM & ME is a family-friendly space that will bring museum treasures to life through three thematic zones - “Who am I?”, “What’s my story?” and “What can I create?” - each designed to encourage self-discovery and cultural appreciation through creative expression.

With fun activities and vibrant spaces designed with local art studio and collective Arterly Obsessed, visitors will be able to craft self-portraits using magnetic shapes, reimagine mythical creatures inspired by the ACM galleries, and dance away in a magical space of colours, lights, and music. In each zone, look out for conversational prompts developed in partnership with the Singapore Association for Mental Health, which will guide families to connect meaningfully with one another, and to grow together.

Changi Chapel & Museum

An iconic monument dedicated to the Prisoner of Wars (POWs) who endured the Japanese Occupation of Singapore in World War II, the Changi Chapel and Museum (CCM) reopened in May 2021. The newly transformed museum will shed light on the riveting personal stories of prisoners of POWs and civilians interned in Changi prison camp during the Japanese Occupation.

The museum may not be a regular in hosting kids-friendly activities, but still presents a great spot for older children to better understand a part of Singapore’s history through the interactive displays and videos. The revamped venue is definitely more engaging for the kids and is also located conveniently around attractions in the East.  

Changi Experience Studio

Located on the 4th floor of Jewel Changi Airport, the Changi Experience Studio offers a host of digital experiences that are engaging to both kids and adults alike. From the history of Changi to behind the scenes of its operations, you will get to immerse yourself in the world of Changi Airport through 20 interactive touchpoints scattered through the different content zones.

Highlights include the Amazing Runaway with a line-up of stationary bikes, which aims to mimic the 2009 Changi Airport Race between a Porsche 911 GT3 and a Boeing 747, the Sky Deck, designed like an airport control room, and the Arena, an interactive game zone with tasks such as collecting airport trolleys and spotting prohibited items in cabin bags.

Children's Museum Singapore

Opening in Dec 2022, the Children's Museum Singapore will be Singapore’s first dedicated children’s museum, which will serve as a ‘starter museum’ to introduce young visitors and their families to the museum-going experience, and to cultivate a love for museums and lifelong learning.

Exhibit: A Voyage Back in Time

Go on a time-travelling voyage with our Captain and WonderBot to olden Singapore! A short, immersive theatre show welcomes you. Find out why our forefathers came to Singapore and experience the perilous journey they took.

Exhibit: Into the Hawkerverse 

Dates: Till 2026

In conjunction with Children’s Season, CMSG will also be launching an all-new exhibition titled Into the Hawkerverse. The exhibition aims to introduce the vibrant and indispensable hawker culture to children and deepen their understanding of hawker culture in a fun, immersive and interactive way.  

Covering various aspects of hawker culture from street hawkers and hawker culture heroes to hawker dishes and hawker centre design, Into the Hawkerverse will feature hands-on activities, multisensory exploration, and object-based learning. Children will be engaged across three galleries and Play Pot, a dedicated playspace designed for children below four years old – featuring a masak-masak playspace with a mee goreng pool, and more.

Civil Defence Heritage Gallery

Venue: 62 Hill St, Singapore 179367

Visit the Civil Defence Heritage Gallery to embark on a tour of the past and learn about the latest fire fighting and rescue technology developed and used by the SCDF. There are customised interactive stations for a close-up experience of what fire fighters and rescuers undergo in an operation.

On the 2nd level of the same building, the Emergency Preparedness Centre (EPC) houses visual and interactive exhibits to impart emergency preparedness knowledge and skills to visitors. You can expect to learn more about the various tools, equipment, vehicles and know-hows that the SCDF deploys in its missions. Other exhibits include the fire extinguisher simulator which discharges water onto a video wall depicting a few incipient fire scenarios as well as interactive mannequins for visitors to try out the Heimlich manoeuvre and CPR procedure.

Activity - Fire Station Open House

Dates: Every Saturday, 9.00am to 9.50am and 10.00am to 10.50am

Not just the Central Fire Station, but at selected fire stations, families can visit on Saturdays and experience the Fire Station Open House! The open house happens across several fire stations island-wide and you will get to watch a fire-fighting demonstration, meet the firefighters and paramedics, touch and feel various equipment, board the fire engines and ambulance, and learn more on how SCDF responds to emergencies!

Admission is free. As of 2024, the SCDF website encourages online bookings* so that the Fire Stations can plan ahead and provide guests with the best visitor experience.

*Note that the form is only available on Mon - Fri, from 9.30 am - 5 pm (excluding Public Holidays).

Former Ford Factory

Venue: 351 Upper Bukit Timah Road, Singapore 588192

The Former Ford Factory is a historic site where the British forces surrendered to the Imperial Japanese Army in 1942. In 2004, the site was handed over to the National Archives of Singapore (NAS), which opened a permanent exhibition at the site that retells the story of World War II in Singapore, the period of occupation and the aftermath through a collection of artefacts and records.

Gardens by the Bay

Activity - Borealis: A Immersive Light & Sound Experience at Supertree Grove

Borealis is an outdoor art installation that combines layers of light and cloud particles where the magical splendour of the Northern Lights, also known as aurora borealis, is recreated to illuminate the night skies of Supertree Grove.

Borealis has travelled to more than 40 cities across Europe, Australia, Asia and the US, and the experience at Gardens by the Bay will mark its first time in Singapore.

A stone’s throw from Bayfront MRT station, Floral Fantasy offers a magical escape among suspended bouquets and creative floral arrangements. Here, explore diverse garden landscapes that segue into each other through a meandering space.

Floral Fantasy showcases more than 3,000 plants of more than 150 species, including some curious plants such as the 'Surfinia purple vein' petunia, which are amethyst blooms with a delicate lacework of vibrant purple veins tracing the centre and Fried Egg Tree, with glossy buds that bloom into white flowers with yellow stamens that resemble an egg cooked sunny-side-up!

Exhibit - Jurassic World

Prepare for an unforgettable adventure at Jurassic World: The Experience at the Cloud Forest, Gardens by the Bay. Journey back in time to encounter life-sized dinosaurs amidst the lush, misty landscapes of the Cloud Forest. 

Come face-to-face with an 8.5-metre tall Brachiosaurus, encounter the formidable Tyrannosaurus rex and even interact with adorable baby dinosaurs in the dedicated Petting Zoo area. There will even be iconic moments from the Jurassic World series brought to life through cutting-edge animatronics and interactive exhibits.

Hyundai Motor Group Innovation Center Singapore

Hyundai Motor Group Innovation Center Singapore is Hyundai Motor Group’s open innovation hub to support research and development in advanced mobility ecosystems and pave a smarter way of urban living for the benefit of the wider society.

While it may not seem like it, the venue also offer many interesting experiences for families to enjoy and learn about the innovations that the Hyundai Motor Group is embarking on!

Discover the Smart Farm at HMGICS that showcases a future where crops can be cultivated in urban environments within land-scarce Singapore. Go on a Virtual Reality Tour and witness a new, revolutionary manufacturing process. 

And finally, experience the full capabilities and performance of our locally-made electric vehicles, on Singapore’s first rooftop Skytrack – built on the roof of the manufacturing facility.

Workshop: SPOT Robot Coding Workshop

Step into the shoes of a HMGICS Robotics Engineer for a day and get hands-on with the help of the iconic robot dog—SPOT. In this fun and educational workshop, kids will build their own SPOT using LEGO bricks, learn simple coding skills, and bring their creation to life to complete exciting missions in the HMGICS Smart Factory.

The SPOT Robot Coding Workshop is recommended for 6 to 12 year old, each session accommodates up to eight children and costs $25 per child. Proceeds are donated to the President's Challenge

Workshop: Smart Food Lab

In Smart Food Lab, kids become scientists for a day—exploring sight, touch, taste and more through hands-on experiments powered by fresh greens from the HMGICS Smart Farm. It’s a fun, sensory-filled journey that sparks curiosity about science, sustainability, and the future of food.

Recommended for 3 to 6 year old, each session accommodates up to eight children and each child must be accompanied by 1 adult throughout the entire workshop. Workshops are priced at $15 per child with proceeds donated to the President's Challenge.

Indian Heritage Centre

The Indian Heritage Centre traces the history of Indian and South Asian communities in Singapore and Southeast Asia.

Exhibit – Indians In Singapore – Past & Present

Indians in Singapore: Past and Present feature five themes which are arranged chronologically to span 1st century CE to the 21st century. The galleries present, through artefact and interactive displays, the history of interactions between South and Southeast Asia, depict the experiences of the Indian community in both Singapore and Malaya during the colonial period, and highlight the contributions of the Indian and South Asian communities to Singapore’s nation-building efforts.

Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum

Even if you’ve not been to the Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum at the Kent Ridge Campus of the National University of Singapore, you probably have seen images of the huge dinosaurs’ fossils on display.

Not just dinosaurs, there are more than 2,000 natural history specimens on display in 15 different thematic zones. The display items range from plants and amphibians to mammals, and even includes a sperm whale that was salvaged from when it was found dead off Jurong Island in 2015.

Malay Heritage Centre

The Malay Heritage Centre or Istana Kampong Glam is the former home of the Sultanate of Singapore. There are 6 permanent galleries showcasing stories and artefacts from the Singapore’s national collection as well as contributions from the community. You won’t want to miss the Adventures In Nusantara, the centre’s dedicated space for children aged 3 to 6 years old.

The lawn at the Malay Heritage Centre is free for all to visit and often host exhibitions and activities for families. The open space is also great for kids to run around too.  

MINT – Museum of Toys

Explore a collection of vintage toys and collectable items at the MINT - Museum of Toys, including vintage posters, confectionery tin boxes, advertising signs and more in an international award-winning contemporary building on 26 Seah Street. The toys and items hail from over 40 countries and range in date from the 1840s to 1980s. These are displayed across four thematic levels of the museum (Outerspace, Characters, Childhood Favourites and Collectables).

MOE Heritage Centre

MOE Heritage Centre showcases Singapore’s Education Story from the early 19th century to the present. The Centre is set-up to inspire those aspiring to be teachers, affirm the work of serving educators and commemorate the contributions of educators and communities that have shaped education since the founding of Singapore.

All visitors above 7 years of age will require a valid photo ID (NRIC, Driving License, PS Card, Student Ez-link etc.) for registration to enter the building.

Museum of Ice Cream

The Museum of Ice Cream officially opened its doors to the public on 19 Aug 2021 at its first international location at Dempsey. Families will forge whimsical memories with 14 never-before-seen interactive installations, unlimited sweet treats, and exclusive merchandise designed in partnership with notable local brands. Definitely do not miss the Inflatable, a bright pink bouncy castle, and Sprinkle Pool, a pool filled with giant candy sprinkles! You will also get to enjoy unlimited ice cream at dedicated stations too!

National Gallery Singapore

Did you know that the National Gallery Singapore administers the world’s largest public collection of Singaporean and Southeast Asian modern art? Made up of the former Supreme Court Building and City Hall, the museum showcases a collection of over 8,000 artworks by prominent artists from around the world!

It hosts regular exhibits and activities targeted at families – including our all-time favourite, Keppel Centre for Art Education, a dedicated space for that caters for families and kids.

Gallery – Keppel Centre for Art Education

National Gallery Singapore reopens Keppel Centre for Art Education with an entirely refreshed space offering a world of wonder for children to learn about art through play. This popular space for families reopens from 16 Dec 2023 featuring new child-centric learning zones and activities that revolve around the theme of Art & Wonder: Nurturing Wonder through Play and Creativity.

The reopened Centre features an immersive learning space comprising seven zones, with stimulating and interactive experiences suitable for children aged 4 – 12. Each zone offers a welcoming and nurturing environment, providing a gateway through which children can be fully immersed in the wonderment of the world of art through play and creativity.

Exhibition - When Art Meets Nature

Venue: City Hall Wing, Level 1 – City Hall Alcove & Keppel Centre for Art Education

What does a forest sound like indoors, or a river feel like through art? When Art Meets Nature invites families on a sensory-rich journey inspired by the natural world. Co-curated with the Taoyuan Museum of Fine Arts, this exhibition brings two acclaimed works from Taiwan’s Taoyuan Children’s Art Center to Singapore for the first time.

In Peace Forest by Soh Ee Shaun, children can explore a whimsical landscape filled with soft sculptures of endangered animals and lush botanical forms—perfect for open-ended play and quiet discovery. Meanwhile, Where the River Runs by Yenting Hsu offers a sound-led experience inspired by indigenous stories from Taiwan’s Dahan River, weaving together culture, ecology, and memory.

Blending art, nature, and storytelling, this cross-cultural showcase encourages environmental awareness while making art accessible and engaging for young visitors—well worth adding to your family outing list.

National Library Building

National Museum of Singapore

With its history dating back to the 1800s, the National Museum of Singapore is the nation’s oldest museum and its collections showcase the city-state’s development through the years, the museum is an ideal place to introduce your little ones to the Singapore story – all the way back to 700 years ago!

The Shaw Foundation Glass Rotunda now houses Singapore Odyssea: A Journey Through Time, a multi-sensorial installation that offers visitors an evocative blend of art, history, and technology — chronicling Singapore’s transformation over 700 years through immersive visuals, dynamic soundscapes, and interactive elements.

Collect your RFID wristband at the start of the experience and use it to interact with element within the installation. If you are going as a group, we recommend you choose different wristbands to unlock different experiences.

The National Museum of Singapore is hosting a massive line-up of family-friendly activities to celebrate the nation’s 61st birthday. From immersive sensory storytelling sessions and a giant heritage hunt to live outdoor concerts and drop-in craft stations, there are plenty of ways to keep the kids entertained. The entire celebration anchors around a huge, free family day out on 9 August, making it an excellent budget-friendly choice for the holidays.

Parents looking to introduce their children to Singapore's history will find plenty of educational value here. Young adventurers can look forward to interactive colour-in competitions, hands-on puppet making, and a stunning evening projection mapping show across the museum's historic facade. Police Heritage Centre

The Police Heritage Centre (PHC) is located within the the Police Headquarters at New Phoenix Park. It is not open to the public, except by pre-booked tours that is suited for older children as part of their social studies of history curriculum.

However, the PHC is a regular participant of the annual Children's Season where they will host special tours for the younger kids. So do look out for more information around the end of the year.

Reflections at Bukit Chandu

Reflections at Bukit Chandu (RBC) tells the story of the Malay Regiment in the Battle of Pasir Panjang, during which the heavily outnumbered soldiers from the regiment made a heroic last stand against a 13,000-strong Japanese force. It also share the history of Singapore's involvement in the opium trade.

The museum sits within the trekking trails of the Southern Ridges and make for a great stop point.

The Republic of Singapore Navy Museum is for those who like to learn more about the Singapore Navy - how it began, the challenges the early sailors went through and overcame. 

Take a trip down memory lane as you view the fascinating components preserved from the early warships - learn more about the RSS Panglima, one of the Navy’s first ships with the 40mm Bofors main gun, wooden helms and the ship bell of RSS Panglima on display!

The young and the young at heart can try their hands at taking out simulated enemy targets with the Navy weapons, navigate a ship through the busy Singapore Strait, steer a submarine underwater, or get a glimpse of what it is like to be the commanding officer of a frigate.

If you are looking for a high-energy, educational way to spend the National Day long weekend without breaking the bank, this is it. Science Centre Singapore is opening its doors for free over the holiday weekend, packed with an action-filled lineup of ocean-themed adventures, interactive mystery quests, and live science shows that will keep both toddlers and older kids thoroughly entertained.

The SG Science Fest 2026 features massive 10-versus-10 outdoor water battles, a self-guided shipwreck mystery puzzle hunt, and a live dramatic showdown between a robot and a local hawker using fire and liquid nitrogen experiments. For younger children, KidsSTOPℱ is hosting a dedicated Junior zone exploring marine life and coral reefs, while the digital-sticker character Quby makes a special appearance with plenty of fun photo opportunities scattered throughout the venue.

Aviation history comes alive at the Singapore Air Force Museum! Little ones will get to enjoy immersive hands-on experiences at the newly revamped Singapore Air Force Museum (opens 16 Jun 2026). 

Kids interested in planes and military hardware will really be thrilled to come up close to retired RSAF aircraft such as the Douglas A-4 Skyhawk and Hawker Hunter F.74S. 

One of the new immersive experience is a five-minute film where families can experience the RSAF’s response to an unidentified aircraft entering Singapore airspace through the perspective of a fighter pilot pursuing the aircraft through the skies, with vibrating seats and flashing lights adding to the realism.

The museum’s visiting hours are from 10am to 5pm and entry is free for Singaporeans and permanent residents. For foreigners, tickets cost $8 for adults and $5 for children.

Parents, it is time to take a trip down memory lane and share a huge piece of your childhood with the kids. Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre (SCCC) and Mediacorp have teamed up to launch a brand-new exhibition that traces the evolution of local Chinese television dramas from the 1960s all the way to the present day. Singapore TV: From Local to Global is a wonderful opportunity for you to show your children the iconic shows, stars, and stories that you grew up watching after school or during family dinners.

The exhibition is split into five interactive, chronological zones that make history fun for the little ones. You can step into recreated, nostalgic sets from legendary dramas like The Unbeatables and The Awakening, look at original costumes from The Return of the Condor Heroes, and even browse vintage television magazines. To keep the kids fully engaged, there are hands-on interactive experiences throughout the space—including a multimedia booth where you can both have a go at dubbing a classic scene from Good Morning, Sir!.

As you wander through the changing eras of television, it serves as a brilliant conversation starter to explain to your children what life was like when you were their age. From vintage television sets to modern micro-dramas, this exhibition beautifully bridges the generation gap through shared pop-culture memories.

The newest immersive installation at The Artground at One Holland village is  "WonderGround: A Journey Beneath Your Feet". The installation is built around the concept of "Burrow Buddies." Children are encouraged to navigate a series of twisting tunnels and root networks, mimicking the life of creatures that live beneath the soil. The space is specifically designed to support cognitive and emotional development through movement.

WonderGround shines as a haven for the 3-and-under crowd. The tactile elements—things to touch, pull, and peek through—are purposefully curated to build confidence and coordination in early learners too!

The Air Force Museum

The Air Force Museum is located at the Paya Lebar Air Base and it gives visitors a look at the history, heritage, and values of the Republic of Singapore Air Force. It includes both an indoor and outdoor gallery that creatively combines original artefacts with interactive media. The museum provides families with an engaging hands-on experience so that they can better appreciate the RSAF story.

At the indoor gallery, children can hands-on the interactive displays and role-playing games. Head outdoors to be wow-ed by different fighter jets, missiles, and anti-aircraft systems, and uncover their stories and contributions to the RSAF’s growth.

The Battlebox

Explore the top secret Battlebox where Lieutenant-General Percival and his senior officers directed the Battle of Singapore in World War II. Admission to The Battlebox is only through a 30 min guided tour where you will venture into the authentic underground command centre 9 metres underground with an expert docent to lead the way. This tour is not suitable for children below 7 years old.

The massive islandwide visual arts festival, Singapore Gallery Month (SGM), is returning from 15 August to 13 September 2026 with more than 100 exhibitions, interactive workshops, and guided weekend tours. Organised by the Art Galleries Association Singapore (AGAS), this month-long celebration is intentionally designed to be approachable, making it a fantastic opportunity to introduce your children to local culture and creative thinking in a completely pressure-free environment.

Families can look forward to a vibrant mix of multi-sensory exhibitions and fully indoor, rain-proof creative sessions. Highlights include interactive, hands-on activities like the Epoxy Clay and Chicken Illustration Workshops at I.F. Gallery, alongside the Found Poetry and Collage Workshop at LOY Art Gallery, where kids can reassemble text and images into their own unique artworks. A new interactive pop-up at Temasek Shophouse aims to replace lecturing with real, open conversations about online safety, social media habits and digital wellbeing. Developed by Meta in partnership with homegrown creative studio EYEYAH!, Digital Dialogue IRL is a free interactive experience designed specifically for parents, educators, and teens to explore digital wellbeing together.

The space moves away from dry safety lectures and uses vibrant, visual conversation cards, guided prompts, and interactive touchpoints. It brings everyday digital dilemmas to life—covering highly relatable topics like social comparison, feed control, cyberbullying, and setting healthy online-offline boundaries.

The experience also helps families better understand the automatic protections built into the newly launched Teen Accounts across Instagram, Facebook, and Messenger, which restrict sensitive content by default for users aged 13 and above.
