Located by the Singapore River is the Asian Civilisations Museum (ACM), Singapore’s national museum of Asian antiquities and decorative art.

ACM's Focus

The only museum in Asia devoted to exploring the rich artistic heritage of Asia, ACM focuses on the many historical connections between cultures and civilisations in Asia, and between Asia and the world. Housed within its historical building are collections from the various cultures around Asia. Artefacts such as the stone sculptures of deities, relief panel chronicling the life of Buddha, ancient artworks, and Southeast Asian jewellery, all have a fascinating tale to narrate about the different cultures and customs in Asia.

Not only do you get to explore the faith, fashion and people of the region in the past centuries, but you also get to discover stories of Singapore’s history as a port city.

Family Friendly Programmes

In addition to bringing you on adventures across Asia, ACM also frequently hosts family-friendly programs to allow closer interaction with its exhibitions and encourage conversations about history. Find out about the latest exhibitions and activities at ACM.
