2. Put On Your Dancing Shoes For da:ns focus - EveryBody Workshops

Looking for a lively way to start your weekends with your little ones this April? Look no further than the da:ns focus - EveryBody Workshops happening at the Esplanade Rehearsal Studio for a session of laughter, music, and dance. It's the perfect way to kickstart your weekend!

Join professional dance instructors for a session of dance-play where parents and children can bond over fun and interactive dance activities. Whether your child is aged 3-6 or 6-12, the EveryBody Workshops cater to kids of all ages. 3. Join Wild Wild Wet At Its First-Ever Songkran Kids Festival

For the first time, kids get their exclusive fun at Singapore’s first-ever Songkran Kids Festival at Wild Wild Wet at Downtown East. The award-winning water park is dedicating the month of April for children aged 12 and below, with a multitude of activities (all days except Tuesdays when the park is closed) from 12pm to 6pm.

Little ones and their families can look forward to dance parties/workshops, live DJ performances, an epic 25m-long inflatable obstacle course, water gun shoot-offs and more at the Songkran Kids Festival 2024! 

4. Naruto: The Gallery Lands at Universal Studios Singapore

Following its showing in Japan at Akiba Square in Akihabara UDX, Naruto: The Gallery comes to Singapore and brings to life the iconic world of shinobi (ninja) created by Masashi Kishimoto. From character profiles to iconic scenes, families will experience up close the evolution of the beloved anime series.

Located at Soundstage 28 in Universal Studios Singapore, Naruto: The Gallery will showcase the narrative and history of Naruto through a series of six areas with storyboards, character art and video displays.

Fans will get to relive pivotal moments from Naruto’s early years to his ultimate showdowns, including the path of Naruto’s rival Sasuke and the climactic events of the Fourth Great Ninja War. Highlights will include a diorama of Naruto’s hometown, the Hidden Leaf Village, a collection of iconic and emotional scenes, and a seven-minute screening of the final battle in a 4D theatre.

5. Reopened Forest-themed Playground at Paragon

Location: Paragon Shopping Mall, Level 5, 290 Orchard Rd, Singapore 238859

If you are wondering where you can bring your kids out for playground fun along Orchard Road, you can head down to the Children's Playground @ Paragon Shopping Mall! The Paragon Junior is a little playground located at Level 5 of the mall. 

The forest-themed indoor playground includes a Treehouse main play structure with a slide. Little ones can spend time climbing up and navigating through the Treehouse. Around the playgrounds are a see-saw, activity boards and an interactive screen for younger ones to play with too! 

6. Free Water Playground at Buangkok Square Park

Another water park opens within a HDB neighbourhood! The new Buangkok Square Park Water Park opened in March 2024 and joins that ranks the growing list of exciting and free water playgrounds located conveniently at the HDB estates. 

The Aquatic-themed Water Playground offers families a gated space to enjoy water play and to cool off from the heat! Families will find many splash elements, including a Dragonfly spray fountain, a spray tunnel and even a mini splashing bucket too! 

There also a water play area for younger ones to play at. It resembles a stream with fountains and water gates, little ones will usually run around or sit themselves into the stream while splashing about!  There are also ample seating that circles the water park, giving parents a place to rest while having a view of the kids. 

7. Tropical Play Forest Playground at Changi Airport

Venue: Changi Airport, Terminal 3, Departure Hall (opposite Check-in Row 11)

Let your little ones take a walk on the wild side in this whimsical jungle gym. Slide down a ‘waterfall’ into a bubbling ball pit, brave the suspension bridges on the ‘treetop walk’, or even swing on a coconut tree! This pop-up Tropical Play Forest Playground will be available at Changi Airport until 1 May 2024. 

Tickets can be purchased directly on the Changi App at $10 per pass with accompanying adult at $5. You can also redeem free passes with min. spending at the airport too! 

8. Gardens by the Bay's Sakura Floral Display 2024

The ninth edition of Gardens by the Bay’s iconic Sakura floral display marks the first time that visitors can enjoy a day-to-night experience since the debut show in 2016.

Inspired by the city of Kyoto, the iconic Kinkakuji Temple takes centrestage, in which visitors can step into and imagine they are within the actual temple – a UNESCO World Heritage site. At night, the floral display is transformed into a landscape inspired by “yozakura” (night sakura) in Japan. At the Gardens, the trees are specially lit and there are light projections that only appear when the sky darkens.

This year’s floral display features more than 140 cherry blossom trees of over 40 varieties, including crowd favourites such as Prunus Accolade, known for its abundant clusters of pink blooms, Prunus Kiku Shidare with its distinctive weeping form, and Prunus Pendula Rubra which has an umbrella form and bears deep pink to red flowers. 

At dusk, the Flower Dome transitions into “yozakura”, with soft lights casting a glow on the blossom trees, creating scenes inspired by the night landscapes in many Japanese cities during sakura season.

9. Be Entertained at the CQ Streetfest 2024

CQ @ Clarke Quay, the iconic riverside destination, kickstarts an exciting month of April with a spectacular street festival, CQ Streetfest, promising five days of electrifying performances and free family-friendly entertainment. From 17 to 21 April 2024, CQ @ Clarke Quay will transform into a bustling stage hosting world-renowned street artists from Australia, the UK, Mexico, Italy, Japan and Singapore.

10. A Family Experience at Little Island Brewing Company at Gillman Barracks

The Tony®, Grammy®, Olivier and Pulitzer Prize-winning production HAMILTON will premiere in Singapore from April 2024.

HAMILTON premiered on Broadway to wide critical and audience acclaim and has gone on to play seasons in London’s West End, Australia, Germany and New Zealand, before embarking on its first-ever international tour, playing in the Philippines and Abu Dhabi before it debuts in Singapore.

The production in Singapore will begin on 19 April 2024 at Sands Theatre, Marina Bay Sands, presented by Base Entertainment Asia. Tickets go on sale on 14 November through Marina Bay Sands ticketing and SISTIC with fans encouraged to join the waitlist to avoid missing out.

15. Cooking with Your Feet

Cooking with Your Feet invites one and all to ‘meet’ the visionary chef, Pellegrino Artusi, who transformed cooking into an art form. Born in 1820, Artusi, accompanied by his trusted partner Marietta, embarks on a culinary journey through Italy, capturing the essence of its delectable dishes, set against the backdrop of Italy's musical greats – Rossini, Verdi, and Puccini.

16. Catch a Movie Screening at the NEW MINT Lumens Theatre

17. Ride on the NEW SkyOrb Cabins at Singapore Cable Car

The Singapore Cable Car marks its Golden Jubilee celebrations with the official debut of its all-new, World’s First SkyOrb Cabins. Graced by Minister Grace Fu as Guest of Honour, the SkyOrb Cabins has embarked on their inaugural flight on the Mount Faber Line.

Fitted with glass-bottomed floors to allow guests to view the scenery below their feet, the new cabins offer guests an elevated journey with a stunning panoramic view of the skyline.     Welcome back to another season of Lunchtime Concerts at the Asian Civilisations Museum! Enjoy the sounds of strings, brass, piano and voice in this series of free concerts. Devote your lunch hour to classical music on selected Fridays in April, brought to you in collaboration with the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music. 

    20. Korean-Style Tennis Festival

    Singapore tennis club Play! Tennis once again ventures into new territory in its efforts to serve up interesting experiences for sports lovers. If you think you know tennis, how about trying K-tennis? In a fun, pop culture-infused twist on the well-loved game, Play! Tennis is thrilled to present the Korean-Style Tennis Festival, which will take place at its indoor courts at Kallang on 20 April 2024.

    The aim is to introduce enthusiasts and beginners alike to a style of tennis pepped up with Korean-style twists and trends, played in a comfortable indoor environment come rain or shine, in a fun and social setting.

    21. Explore the New Changi Heritage Trail

    Changi is known for its relaxed coastal vibes, good food and the world-famous Changi Airport. Beneath the surface, however, is a much more fascinating, complex, and sometimes dark history. The tales of historical sites, events and the communities associated with the area will be uncovered in the new Changi Heritage Trail by the National Heritage Board (NHB).

    Featuring 23 heritage sites and six heritage trail markers, the Changi Heritage Trail will tell the stories of Changi through the memories of its community, trace its evolution across different eras, and shed light on its cultural, social, economic and military heritage over the centuries. Trail-goers will get to explore iconic landmarks and discover the diverse narratives of Changi, from the hardships endured by prisoners of war during the Japanese Occupation to the vibrant mix of cultures of the kampongs in the area.

    The Changi Heritage Trail’s companion guide and map can be downloaded from https://go.gov.sg/roots-changi-heritage-trail. The map will be made available in all four languages from June 2024.

    Boutique Fairs Singapore returns for its much-anticipated Spring Summer 2024 Edition, and is bursting at the seams with local creativity and international designers hailing from all over the world. From Friday, April 26 to Sunday, April 28 at the F1 Pit Building, visitors can immerse themselves in a world of style, innovation, and socially-conscious initiatives. 

    The latest edition of Boutiques showcases over 300 brands and designers. Of these, visitors can look forward to discovering 80 new-to-Boutiques brands — including  international brands such as Annie & Lori and Erika Peña who are making their physical Singapore-debut at Boutiques — and to be the first to shop over 200 exclusive launches from leading and emerging designers from Singapore and around the world.
