These dynamic interventions ensure that every corner of the precinct pulses with creative energy. This year’s festival introduces two exciting additions that amplify its energy and inclusivity. Experimental Playground by ScRach MarcS invites audiences into a creative playground where movement meets sound, image, text, and unexpected inspiration while Mini Flips by SkateSG brings the art of fingerboarding to life in a spirited competition that celebrates precision, creativity, and mutualism in miniature.

Closing the festival on a high note, the Get Up & Get Down Block Party makes its long‐awaited comeback – last seen before the pandemic. This vibrant finale transforms the Aliwal Carpark into a pulsating dance zone, with freestyle circles, big beats and an electrifying atmosphere where everyone grooves together – a celebration of community spirit at the heart of AUAF.

Visitors can look forward to a playful blend of Mala-inspired waterpark fun and installations, photo moments, and exclusive festive promotions inspired by Singapore’s iconic love for all things Mala. 

To set the tone for the celebrations, the beloved Shiok River has been transformed into a cheeky “Mala hotpot”, featuring life-sized floats and loungers that take after your favourite Mala ingredients – think lotus root, crabsticks, streaky meat slices, cheese tofu, prawns, and more – adding a humorous twist to the waterpark’s signature currents. Just in time for Chinese New Year, the Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre (SCCC) presents Tradition in Motion: Singapore’s Lion Dance Heritage — a vibrant exhibition that traces the past, present, and evolving future of lion dance in Singapore. Families can explore over 50 artefacts, photographs, posters, and figurines, offering a rich look at how this traditional art form has grown and adapted through generations.

A highlight for children and adults alike is the striking display of eight lion heads, representing different styles practised locally — from the well-known Southern Lion Dance to rarer forms such as the Hainan Lion and Fujian Green Lion. The exhibition is organised into three thematic zones, beginning with the history and customs of lion dance, including an up-close look at the intricate craft of lion head making by Singapore’s last lion head craftsman.

Visitors can also discover how local troupes keep the tradition alive today, before ending with pop-culture influences that show lion dance’s continued relevance.

OH! Moonstone: Everything Changes, Everything Stays the Same is the 12th edition of OH! Open House’s flagship art walk, taking place from 18–25 January 2026 at Moonstone Lane, Singapore.

OH! Moonstone is an after-hours, site-specific art experience that unfolds through a neighbourhood rarely noticed by most visitors. Tucked away from main roads, Moonstone Lane is shaped by decades of adaptation, family homes lived in for generations, quiet workshops, shrines, and personal collections built through care and obsession.

Expect monumental artworks across an unexpected mix of places: a 1950s family home, a passion-driven toy shop, and forgotten spaces tucked in between homes and religious spaces.

Through a curated walking route, audiences encounter site-specific artworks embedded in real homes and neighbourhood spaces, exploring themes of memory, attachment, and what endures beneath constant urban change. Rather than a conventional exhibition, the experience invites visitors to slow down and engage with lived-in environments where art and everyday life intersect.

BURP - Esplanade PLAYtime! Series

Get ready for BURP, a tale about a man who loves collecting sounds in special jars, each one a doorway to a special memory or feeling. Every day, he picks a few sound jars and plays them on his Incredible Sound Machine, transporting him back to extraordinary moments in time.

But one day, something strange happens—a mighty burp ripples through his entire body, a vibration so powerful that he just has to collect it before it escapes!

Will the man be quick enough to trap Burp in his sound jar or will Burp give him the slip? Join in on an extraordinary game of chase between the elusive Burp and the Sound Collector.

Feathers of the Fog

Feathers of the Fog is a vibrant, family-friendly dance production that brings the urgent issue of air pollution to life through breathtaking movement, immersive storytelling, and stunning visuals. Following the acclaimed style of its earlier productions from TRDOco’s Sustainability for the Young series, this multidisciplinary work features dancers personifying birds — their colourful feathers and graceful flight symbolising the vitality of nature.

Set against real-world environmental challenges, Feathers of the Fog transforms complex issues into an emotionally resonant experience for all ages. Besides journeying through three acts of Vibrance, Invasion and Renewal, audiences can also participate in pre- and post-show exhibition and dialogue designed to deepen understanding and inspire meaningful action.

Feathers of the Fog promises to be a powerful dance theatre experience that speaks to the heart — and calls for change.

Baby Shark Run 2026
