Chingay 2025: Tickets Sold Out? Don't Worry, You Can Still Celebrate!

Chingay Parade 2025 is shaping up to be a spectacular event, celebrating Singapore's 60th birthday with the theme "JOY." While tickets to the main parade on 7 and 8 Feb at the F1 Pit Building are completely sold out, the Chingay spirit is alive, with plenty of options for families to join the celebrations, even without tickets.

Here's how you can still experience the Chingay magic:
- Free Admission Areas: Head down to the free-standing area along the parade route to catch the amazing floats and performances. Little ones will be thrilled to see the colourful spectacle. Also explore the PAssionArts Street featuring art installations co-created by residents and students.
- Chingay@Heartlands: From 9 Feb to 2 Mar 2025, Chingay comes to you! With events in 8 locations across Singapore, Chingay@Heartlands offers a range of family-friendly activities and performances.
- Catch the Livestream: Can't make it in person? No problem! Catch the live stream of the parade on Day 1 (Feb 7th) on the official Chingay website and Chingay Parade SG Facebook page!

Mandai Boardwalk - New Nature Experience

Explore the new Mandai Boardwalk as it recently opens at the Mandai Wildlife Reserve, a perfect peaceful destination for families. Located at Mandai Wildlife East, this is a public area that is free for families to visit and explore.
Get ready to be amazed by the stunning views of the Upper Seletar Reservoir and the Central Catchment Nature Reserve! As you walk along, the meandering 3.3km Mandai Boardwalk skirts the perimeter of River Wonders and Singapore Zoo and provides visitors with a peaceful space to observe local wildlife along the edge of the Reservoir, and to catch glimpses of some of the animals being cared for inside the Singapore Zoo.
The boardwalk celebrates the fascinating connection between the forest and water ecosystems through five thematic stations and a lookout point along the route. A leisurely stroll typically takes 70 to 85 minutes. However, you may want to set aside extra time to fully enjoy the scenic views and observe the local flora and fauna.

Keppel Coastal Trail at Labrador Nature Park

Located at Labrador Nature Park, the 340m-long Keppel Coastal Trail opens in late Jan and offers family another option to explore this popular park.
The trail consists of a 90m-long elevated wheelchair-accessible boardwalk with views of the sea and a 250m-long path which brings visitors through a coastal beach forest habitat.
Interpretative signage along the trail provides information about flora and fauna that can be sighted in the area, such as the White-bellied Sea Eagle (Haliaeetus leucogaster) and the Paradise Tree Snake (Chrysopelea paradisi).

Changi Airport ushers in Chinese New Year with vibrant and colourful horticultural displays, featuring beloved Sanrio characters alongside traditional festive plants and motifs such as cherry blossoms and oranges. Chinese New Year is the most significant celebration for the Chinese community as it marks the start of the lunar calendar and is a time for family reunions and honouring traditions.
The airport’s adorable Sanrio character displays have been refreshed to perfectly capture the lively spirit and mood of Chinese New Year. Changi Airport Group’s Horticulture team has meticulously curated symbolic blooms and imagery, each carrying significant meanings, to harmoniously blend with the Sanrio character displays.
Traditional Chinese New Year icons are also prominently featured in these thoughtful displays. For example, firecrackers, known for their loud noise, are intended to ward off negativity and celebrate the coming of the new year. Mandarin oranges with their bright, golden hue, symbolise wealth and prosperity while their round shape represents completeness and unity. Additionally, red packets or ‘hongbao’, traditionally filled with money and given as gifts, represent the sharing of blessings and the wish for prosperity and good luck.

Carry Hope is the flagship annual campaign by the Rare Disorders Society (Singapore) held in conjunction with the World Rare Disease Day.
