PAssion Wave announce the return of the annual Rent-a-Craft, Pay-by-Trash campaign. This eco-friendly initiative runs from 4 to 8 December 2024 and offers participants a meaningful way to enjoy water sports while contributing to environmental sustainability. For the first time ever, Rent-a-Craft, Pay-by-Trash will be part of the SG Giving Week! 

Participants can rent a kayak or stand-up paddleboard at a token sum of just $1 and use the craft to clean waterways and coastlines. This token amount not only offsets locker charges but also supports a pro-bono Kayak 'N' Klean programme for underprivileged groups. 

Please note the following details:  

• All cleaning equipment, including pails, tongs, and gloves, will be provided
• For kayak rentals at the sea outlets (Pasir Ris & Sembawang), a minimum of 1-Star Kayaking Award Star Certification from the Singapore Canoe Federation is required. Non-certified participants can choose to register for guided rentals at the two outlets instead. 
• Participants can track their collected trash using the ‘Clean Swell’ app to contribute to data on Singapore’s marine litter. 
• The minimum age for reservoir outlets (Jurong Lake Gardens, Marina Bay, Bedok Reservoir) is 7 years old while the minimum age for seas outlets (Pasir Ris, Sembawang) is 10 years old 
• Stand-up Paddling is only available at the East Coast outlet, and participants must be certified to proceed.
