It's time to say goodbye to 2022 and to welcome the brand new 2023! So where can you go to welcome the new year with your little ones and the entire family? This list will give you some ideas with fireworks, carnivals, performances and more!
1. Marina Bay Singapore Countdown 2023
Venue: Marina Bay Singapore
Date: 31 Dec 2022
Presented by the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA), Marina Bay Singapore Countdown 2023 will bring back the highly anticipated fireworks display after a two-year absence. Come 31 December, families will be able to view the fireworks at midnight from around the Bay to welcome the new year! There will also be lots of activities happening at the bay to celebrate the new year!
2. STAR ISLAND

Date: 31 Dec 2022 (Performance), 25 - 30 Dec 2022 (Prequel)

STAR ISLAND Singapore will be back at full scale with a 22,000 seating capacity after a 2-year hiatus! Part of the Marina Bay Singapore Countdown (MBSC) 2023, STAR ISLAND Singapore Countdown 2022-2023 is a 70-minute fireworks musical extravaganza which features larger-than-life pyrotechnics and dazzling lights, immersive sound and world-class entertainment.
This year’s show includes artisanal “Ghost Effect Shell” fireworks which have been designed to bloom in Singapore’s stunning colours, a red-to-white gradation across the sky.
New to this year's edition, STAR ISLAND will present "Prequel to STAR ISLAND" at Marina Bay Event Plaza from 25 to 30 Dec 2022. This is a free-admission multi-sensory playground with activities for all ages. You can expect to get a sneak peak of the show. The area will be transformed into a ticketed satellite location for the main show on 31 December.
3. Fireworks and More At Our Tampines Hub

Families can countdown with Our Tampines Hub at the Countdown To Magical Moments 2023 Show with year-end festivities, a circus-themed show and fireworks happening on 31 Dec 2022
Catch this exciting circus-themed countdown show, hosted by celebrity Najip Ali and Mediacorp Radio 933FM DJ Hazelle Teo. Where you will get to watch breathtaking acrobatic performances, exciting elements of energetic drum performances, juggling acts and fire performances and dazzling fireworks display for the festive celebration.
Families can also expect extended fun from 31 Dec 2022 to 2 Jan 2023 where the Festive Walk will be transformed into a family fun-filled kids playground with skating rink experiences and craft activities, while there will be live music and cultural performances at the Festive Plaza. In addition, Central Plaza will be converted into a fun carnival with snack giveaways, train rides, arcade games and magic shows for the whole family.
4. Share The Moment

Dates: 26 - 31 Dec 2022
The Fullerton Hotel Singapore and Merlion will be lit up into a visual feast for the eyes! As part of Marina Bay Singapore Countdown 2023, Share the Moment will light up with a series of colourful and dazzling light projections with the theme “City of Good”.
These projections will feature never-before-seen original artworks by students from local educational institutions, which celebrate acts of giving and depict a vision of Singapore where individuals, organisations and leaders come together to give their best for others. This spectacular showcase is in partnership with the National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre (NVPC) and Giving.sg.
Catch the nightly light projections between 8pm and 10.30pm from 26 to 30 December, and between 8pm and 1am on New Year’s Eve.
5. The Great Bay Fiesta
Venue: Bayfront Event Space
Dates: 1 Dec 2022 - 1 Jan 2023, 1 pm - 10 pm daily
Admission: From $10, additional fees payable for activities
At the Bayfront Event Space, The Show Master, a premium entertainment arm by Uncle Ringo, will present The Great Bay Fiesta from 1 December, comprising four highlights.
The entertainment show, The Great Cirque des Cascades, will showcase brand-new circus stunts for thrill-seekers, while The Great World Carnival will feature rides and games which pay homage to the historic Great World Amusement Park and offer visitors a glimpse into Singapore’s leisure and entertainment scene in the 1920s to 1970s. In addition, The Great Food Fiesta will feature over 30 food stalls with unique and exclusive offerings.
6. After Hours @ The Lawn
Venue: The Lawn
Dates: 30 and 31 Dec 2022
Located right outside Downtown MRT, After Hours @ The Lawn, is a fun-filled entertainment zone that also offers a perfect view of the fireworks.
Featuring larger-than-life games, food stalls, entertainment offerings and a designated chill-out zone, this two-day lifestyle event is made for all, from the young to the wise. Best of all, admission is free! Simply visit the grassy expanse right outside Downtown MRT station on 30 December (5-10pm) and 31 December (5pm-12am) to get your New Year’s party started.
7. Mediacorp’s Let’s Celebrate 2023 Countdown Concert
Venue: The Promontory
Dates: 31 Dec 2022
Over at The Promontory, music lovers and fans of popular artistes can soak in the festive mood at Mediacorp’s Let’s Celebrate 2023 countdown concert.
Catch their electrifying live performances of these amazing talents during the pre-show, which will also be streamed on meWATCH and Mediacorp Entertainment’s YouTube channel.
8. Skechers Sundown Live Countdown Party
Venue: Palawan Green, Sentosa
Dates: 31 Dec 2022, 4 pm - 1 am
Admission: from $40
The first-ever Skechers Sundown Live Countdown Party, a one-night-only satellite music event of the Skechers Sundown Festival, will take place at Palawan Green, Sentosa, on 31 December 2022, from 4 pm to 1 am!
This countdown party will be headlined by internationally-acclaimed DJ Soda from South Korea, known for her blend of hard dance and hip-hop and bubbly stage persona, as well as a stellar lineup of Asian acts, including DJ PIN and DJ Inquisitive.
There will also be a food village and a film screening of The Bad Guys too! Tickets are available now!
9. heARTs! @ Boon Lay 2023 - Boon Lay Countdown 2023
- Hardcourt beside Blk 215 Boon Lay Place
- 6.30 pm - 12.30 am
ActiveSG and River Valley High School will be setting up sports try-outs and games booths at the Countdown Carnival, to promote healthier living. The highlight will be the fireworks display at the carpark behind Savoy Theatre.
10. Countdown to 2023 @ One Punggol
- One Punggol's Celebration Square and Rooftop
- 3 pm - 1 am
One Punggol (OP) will host its first Year-end Countdown party for Punggol residents. Held in collaboration with Pasir Ris-Punggol GRC, this event will feature fringe activities like a movie marathon, fitness workouts, bouncy castles, face painting and free snacks from 3pm. In the evening, there will be showcase performances by Grassroots Organisations as well as professional performing artistes
The programme highlight will be the fireworks showcase display which will be staged across OP at the Waterway Park. Residents can view this spectacular display from selected vantage points in OP at Levels 1 and from our rooftop.
11. Countdown: Keat Hong Swing Into 2023

This year’s end-of-year celebrations, “Keat Hong Swing into 2023!” will take inspiration from Singapore Swing and bring nostalgia to Keat Hong residents as they usher in the new year.
Residents can enjoy performances from diverse backgrounds at the event, including Samba performance, Japanese Drum, Malay Kompang, Bangra and many more. Residents will enjoy and better appreciate Singapore’s multicultural society. Highlights of fireworks will be at Block 309 Choa Chu Kang Avenue 4.
12. New Year Eve Countdown 2023
- Hardcourt Opposite MacPherson Community Club
- 7 pm - 12.30 am
This is the first time for MacPherson Countdown Committee to provide a 360-view stage for residents to indulge in an all-surrounded visual and audio experience. Food trucks will replace the usual food booths with various dining options. Residents get to sit around the main stage to listen to the music and performances while enjoying the food.
The main streets in MacPherson will light up when the night falls and residents can look forward to firework displays behind MacPherson CC, along Pelton Canal.

13. Catch a Movie Netflix / Disney+
With so many streaming options, you may just want to stay home with the kids (turn up the air-conditioning) to catch a movie to end the year! You can search for the latest 2021 shows or search for a classic on streaming services such as Netflix or Disney+!
