Saffrons Opens at Wisma Geylang Serai

Wisma Geylang Serai (WGS) is proud to welcome Saffrons, one of Singapore’s most recognisable Indian Muslim food brands. 

he brand’s opening at WGS brings with it not only popular favourites like Nasi Briyani, Mee Kawen, and signature prata varieties, but also the spirit of homegrown entrepreneurship and heritage that has defined its journey since 1997.

Keming Bing Sat from China Debuts in Singapore

After opening 140 outlets in Hong Kong and China, the local crowd favourite new-age cha chaan teng Keming Bing Sat (ć…‹èŒ—ć†°ćź€) will make its Singapore debut in late May.

Expect freshly roasted char siew, freshly pulled tea, and freshly cooked rice. Keming Bing Sat has won multiple awards like King of Queue 2021, TikTok’s Favourite Restaurant 2021, Dianping’s Must-Eat List 2022, and more.

Nestled along Craig Road, Chef’s Tavern brings together the finesse of classic European fare and refined Japanese culinary techniques. This new casual-chic eatery offers a delightful dining experience enhanced by warm and knowledgeable service – at remarkably approachable prices.

Diners can expect a unique Tavern Style Teishoku lunch set, starting from just $28++, offering a refined, premium take on the traditional Japanese meal using fresh seasonal ingredients. Chef’s Tavern also offers an à la carte menu with scrumptious highlights like the Hokkaido Scallop Crudo, featuring Hokkaido scallops elevated with mint and shiso, then coated in a vibrant mango leche de tigre sauce; as well as Cold Kombu Angel Hair Pasta, an umami-packed dish with tom kha coconut and lobster bisque topped with succulent Argentinian prawns.

Under the tutelage of Chef Suetomi himself, the team works a grill modelled after the original at sister-concept Makitori Shinkobe. Meticulously sourced chicken and seasonal ingredients are used, with techniques ranging from grilling to roasting, sautéing and smoking with wood-fire, enhancing intrinsic flavours. 

The tori-focused wood-fire omakase menu ($188++) highlights 13 courses alternating between skewers of various tori parts and dishes – all kissed by fire - while daily specials add to the occasion. Each part of the bird receives tailored, individual elaboration – all layered with complexity though seasoned and paired minimally with select accompaniments, and dishes are further elevated with creative global touches and inspirations. To complete the meal, Firebird has handpicked a selection of sake, shochu, wines, spirits, beers, and highball cocktails.

Beloved tea brand Beutea is opening a new outlet at Tampines MRT Station. With more than 30 options on the menu, look forward to best-sellers such as Fresh Grapefruit Tea, Jasmine Green Milk Tea, White Peach Oolong Milk Tea and many more! 

In addition to Beutea’s signature drinks, look forward to the one-of-a-kind Bitter Melon Apple Tea, comprising bitter gourd, green apple, grapefruit, kale and lemon. Bedrock Origin’s Newly Launched Sunday Brunch

Available every Sunday from 12pm to 3.30pm, The Harvest Table – Where Land Meets Sea Sunday Brunch ($78++ per person) showcases Bedrock Origin’s well-loved repertoire of meaty signatures with an expanded seafood selection. Exclusively available on weekends and public holidays, Michelin-Starred Shisen Hanten by Chen Kentaro will be launches a Weekend Brunch Menu. For $88++ per guest, diners can indulge in a curated spread of dishes, spanning delicate soups and appetisers to satisfying mains.

Guests are offered the freedom to enjoy unlimited orders of select dishes — including dim sum, barbecued items, main dishes, and handcrafted desserts, the menu is an invitation to savour the very essence of Szechwan cuisine. 

Elevate the brunch with an exclusive beverage promotion, featuring champagne, white and red wines, cocktails, and non-alcoholic sparkling tea. For the cocktail connoisseur, the Aged Mandarin Cocktail ($48++ per guest) offers free-flow servings of an inspired blend of gin infused with 20-year-aged mandarin peel, cinnamon, grapefruit, ginger, goji berries, star anise, and a hint of chilli.

The Weekend Brunch menu ($88++ per guest, with a minimum of 2 guests) is available exclusively on weekends and public holidays from 11.30am to 3.15pm, with the last seating at 1.45pm. Each dining experience is limited to 90 minutes, and the entire table must order from the brunch menu.

PS.Cafe Launches its Brand-New Brunch Menu

Debuting at PS.Cafe Great World, Harding Road and East Coast Park, the PS.Cafe introduces 16 brand-new dishes that bring a fresh, exciting spin to the classics.

With the launch of the new brunch menu, the cafe takes its offerings to the next level, introducing familiar western breakfast dishes with an inspired twist. From Crab Eggs Royale to the Black Sesame Avocado Toast, guests will rediscover the joy of comfort food through a fresh perspective.

The brunch menu will be available daily from weekdays, 8 am - 11 am, and weekend & PH from 8 am - 4 pm. 

The Masses Launches Farm-Style Communal Sunday Brunch

The Masses launched a Farm-Style Communal Sunday Brunch. A rustic-chic feast that promises abundance, conviviality and flavour-first flair, the menu reflects the restaurant’s enduring commitment to accessibility and utmost dedication to craft.  

Escape from the weekday grind or slip into the ease of a cheery Sunday with loved ones over good food and good company at The Masses, where the new Farm-style Sunday Brunch is a relaxed yet undeniably special affair.  

Inspired by leisurely days in the charming French countryside, begin with a table filled with artisanal breads and house-made dips, vibrant garden salads, cold cuts, and delectable appetisers. The second act comprises protein-forward mains featuring poultry and seafood. Desserts round out the afternoon, while surprises from the kitchen — second helpings of select dishes — are offered tableside. 

From 11am to 5pm every Sunday with three seatings, diners can indulge in a curated 10-dish sharing menu priced at $68.80++ per adult and $38++ per child between 6 to 10 years old with a minimum of two diners and full table participation.

Casa Vostra by Chef Antonio Updated Menu

Since the opening of its first flagship store in Raffles City last July, Casa Vostra continues to attract long lines, with diners returning again and again to eat their way through Chef Antonio Miscellaneo’s authentic yet wallet-friendly menu of unpretentious Italian cuisine. 

Despite its ongoing success, Chef Antonio remains committed to evolving the menu to keep things fresh, introducing 10 new dishes across antipasti, pizza, pasta, and dessert - each introducing bold, traditional Italian flavours with his signature touch. Among them is a recipe close to heart, Mamma’s Aglio e Olio ($15), a pasta dish infused with childhood memories and a mother’s love, inspired by the way his mum makes it, with an added twist that makes it unlike any other. 

From 9 to 11 May 2025, all mummies dining at Casa Vostra will be treated to a complimentary serving of Mamma’s Aglio e Olio—a heartfelt dish inspired by Chef Antonio’s own mother’s recipe. Bring Mum for a meal she’ll love, on the house!

A Special Collaboration between National Gallery Singapore and Odette

National Gallery Singapore is collaborating with Odette, the acclaimed three-Michelin-starred French restaurant, to present an exclusively curated four-course lunch menu in celebration of its latest blockbuster exhibition City of Others: Asian Artists in Paris, 1920s-1940s. 

Available on Tuesdays to Thursdays from now until 14 August 2025, the exclusive menu showcases Odette Chef-Owner Julien Royer’s mastery over modern French cuisine. Priced at $298++ per person, the dining experience includes a starter, fish course, main and dessert, as well as a complimentary ticket to City of Others at the Level 3, Singtel Special Exhibition Gallery. 

BakeDept’s Takeover at Baker X

Dessert lovers have a new reason to make tracks to Baker X — Singapore’s residency space for home bakers. From 3 May to 26 June 2025, BakeDept (@bakedept) steps into the spotlight, bringing with it a charming mix of crafted sweets, low-sugar indulgences, and feel-good family fun.  

Helmed by Tham Jun Gui, an ice cream veteran with over a decade of experience, her lineup at Baker X ranges from cookies and ice creams, to handcrafted acai bowls and freshly baked cakes, tarts, and waffles. 

Highlights include

  • Kopi Gao Ice Cream with Peanut Butter Toasties ($5): Served between housemade brioche, the robust, coffee-forward ice cream melds with velvety peanut butter, evoking the nostalgic comfort of a local kopitiam breakfast.
  • Cookies (From $7): Low-sodium and eggless, they are offered in inventive flavours like Earl Grey, Mocha Cranberry, Lychee Rose, and the ever-addictive Brown Butter Choc Chip.
  • Tarts (From $7): Matcha Strawberry, Fruit Tart, and the decadent Dark Chocolate S’mores, each delightful treat in textural contrast and visual delight.

Mum’s 5 Hiang (Ngoh Hiang) with Sichuan Tian Mian Sauce is rich with flavourful nostalgia. A savoury blend of minced pork, prawns, shiitake mushrooms, carrots and more is wrapped in beancurd skin, then deep-fried to a golden crisp. The Ngoh Hiang evokes fond memories for Chef Eugene, reminding him of Lunar New Year's celebration back at his childhood home, where his mother would lovingly hand-make this snack. 

Traditionally, these juicy golden bites are paired with a sweet sauce, but Chef Eugene's version is presented with a Sichuan Tian Mian sauce, adding a harmonious blend of sweetness, savouriness, and a hint of spiciness. The sauce is made with house-made chilli oil, spiced soy sauce, sesame seeds, chopped toasted peanuts, and dried black olives.  

The snack is served atop a bed of vibrant julienned vegetables - carrots, yellow zucchini and celtuce - tossed in a zesty lemon vinaigrette. Adorned with butternut squash purĂ©e, cherry tomatoes, and microcress, the dish is finished with charcoal tuille and spiced lavosh, adding an extra touch of flavour and texture.
