Singapore’s first Bornean Restaurant - KANTIN at Jewel Changi Airport

Nestled within the iconic glass dome of JEWEL at CHANGI Airport, KANTIN is Singapore’s first and only Bornean restaurant. The first outlet outside the brand’s flagship in Malaysia, the celebrated concept takes guests on a bold culinary journey through Southeast Asia. Diners can experience authentic interpretations of  ‘jungle food’ inspired by one of the world’s oldest rainforests, and the enduring traditions of over 300 of Borneo’s indigenous headhunter tribes. 

The restaurant on Level 5 of JEWEL Changi Airport is both a homage to Borneo’s roots, and a contemporary twist on Sarawak’s vibrant culinary legacy. The menu strikes a poised balance between time-honoured tradition and inventive flair, offering a dining experience that is both familiar yet novel. 

Sampanman Kelong, launches a new outlet at Jurong Point

Sampanman Kelong opens its eagerly anticipated second outlet at Jurong Point, bringing the same rich maritime heritage and fresh seafood experience that made its Jewel Changi flagship a crowd favourite. 

Look forward to signatures such as Assorted Sampan available in different sizes to cater to various group gatherings from XXL Fisherman Sampan ($248) to smaller Kelong Sampan ($55). All sampans comes with Tingkat set available in two or three tiers offering vegetables like stir-fried sweet potato leaves spicy egg sambal with a choice of mains like like Nanyang chicken curry or berempah fried chicken. 

Also new to the menu is the Kelong Curry Sliced Fish ($39) a hearty classic for sharing that is inspired by kelong home kitchens featuring tender sliced fish simmered in aromatic curry that is rich in spices, coconut cream, fine beans, eggplant, pineapple, and beancurd. Individual curry portions can be found with Cockles & Chicken Curry ($14.90), Chicken Curry ($7.90), Seabass Curry ($14.90), and Seafood Combination Curry ($15.90) with bee hoon.

Fi Woodfire Thai Opens at Shaw Centre

After a successful run at Robertson Walk, Singapore’s beloved first woodfire thai destination has found a new home at Shaw Centre. Proudly founded in Singapore, Fi-Woodfire Thai returns with its signature smoky flair, crowd-favourites classics, and exciting new creations that promise to ignite your senses and captivate your palate.

Look forward to NEW standout dishes like the Watermelon with Fish Floss and River Prawn with Thai Garlic Chips, alongside hot favourites such as the Signature 'Moo Ping' Duroc Pork Rib – delicious, full of character, and guaranteed to keep you coming back for more! 

At the heart of Fi’s kitchen lies a custom double-insulated wood fire oven, reaching up to 450°C. This intense heat imparts a signature smoky aroma and juicy finish to each dish, setting Fi apart as a distinctive force in the city’s dining scene.

Khao Kaeng - New Thai Restaurant at 552 MacPherson Road

Khao Kaeng is one of the few restaurants in Singapore that brings together the best of two Thai regions – combining the rich, tangy flavours of Northeast Thailand with the fiery, herbaceous kick of Southern Thai cuisine.

Just a 3-minute walk from MacPherson MRT, the authentic Thai restaurant is offering a limited-time $8 NETT lunch promotion, available daily from 11am to 3pm. You can pick from eight classic Thai dishes: Think basil pork with rice, tomyum soup, green curry, and pad si ew. You’ll even get a free drink! 

If you’re dining with company or feeling extra hungry, you might also want to try their Special South+Esan Seafood Tomyum soup – it is usually priced at $28, but now going for just $8 if you spend a minimum of $50. This rich and ingredient-packed soup is great for sharing, and a comforting add-on to any meal. 

The Tea Room and The Patisserie Opens at The St. Regis Singapore

Located within the The St. Regis Singapore's grand lobby and inspired by the serenity of the nearby Botanic Gardens, The Tea Room invites guests to rediscover the signature St. Regis Singapore afternoon tea with renewed sophistication. Across The Team Room, The Patisserie is a takeaway atelier offering freshly handcrafted whole cakes, petit gateaux, and signature viennoiseries. 

Choon Hoy Parlor Relocates To Arcade @ The Capitol Kempinski

Singaporean Chef Dylan Ong opened Choon Hoy Parlor (CHP) at Beach Road as a tribute to his beloved mother. This June 2025, CHP relocates to Arcade @ The Capitol Kempinski, next to sister concept The Masses. Choon Hoy Parlor 2.0 (CHP 2.0) opens with a bigger space, expanded menu, and the largest baijiu collection in Asia outside of China that can be had with a new cocktail bar experience.

Prices are kept amazingly accessible in keeping with Chef Dylan’s belief in ‘Food as a Blessing’. Designed for sharing, the A La Carte Menu ranges from cold and hot appetisers (from $3++) to house-brewed soups (from $10.90++); rice (from $3++); vegetable, meat and seafood dishes (from $15.90++); and desserts (from $10.90++). A weekday Local-style Set Lunch offers a 3-course option ($18.90++, 2 starters + 1 main) and 4-course option ($24.90++, 3 starters + 1 main) - a quick yet satiating taste of Singapore Soul Food at unbeatable value. For groups of three or more, the Communal Menu ($59.90++/pax, minimum 3 pax) offers a curated selection of highlights from the a la carte menu, available for lunch and dinner.

Baijiu house pours start from $8++ for 20ml, with bottles from $26++. CHP 2.0 also serves a selection of baijiu cocktails with options such as their Jing & Tonic and High Balls available from $12++.

Dian Xiao Er Opens 19th Outlet at Seletar Mall with 20% Discount

Dian Xiao Er is proud to be roasting up its renowned herbal roast ducks for their 19th location in Singapore at The Seletar Mall on 13 June 2025. 

To celebrate the milestone, it is offering 20% off a selection of its all-time bestselling favourites. From 17 June to 24 July 2025, diners who pay using the Dian Xiao Er app will get 20% off eight dishes on Monday to Thursday. They consist of crowd favourites and bestsellers from over the years across the past 18 outlets. 

This July, Dian Xiao Er also joins the nation in celebrating Singapore’s 60th year of independence with the biggest event in its history, the DD.Duck Charity Race. On 22 July 2025, 20,000 DD.Ducks will be released into the Lazy River at Adventure Cove Waterpark in an exciting race. Each duck has a unique serial number, and each entry contributes $1 to South West CDC. The first six ducks to cross the finish line will win a total of $19,000 in cash prizes with $10,000 for first place, $3,000 each for second and third, and $1,000 each for fourth to sixth.

Registration runs from 17 June to 21 July 2025. To enter, simply spend a minimum of $60 in a single receipt via the Dian Xiao Er app. Pay with DBS PayLah! for one bonus entry. Entries are capped at 20,000 and are available on a first-come, first-served basis while stocks last.

Guoco Midtown II Unveils 13 Diverse Dining Options

With its launch, Guoco Midtown II introduces a vibrant mix of curated dining concepts that further energise the neighbourhood. Its ground-level layout, alfresco dining frontages and open walkways create an inviting and approachable streetscape. 

The distinctive tenant curation, features 13 diverse food and beverage brands, four of which are new to the Singapore market. From exciting new restaurants to well-established brands opening their first outlets in the area, Guoco Midtown II promises a dining scene that complements the dynamic energy of the Bugis precinct.

Among the most anticipated openings is The Plump Frenchman (#01-20), Zouk Group’s first-ever restaurant concept, and the much raved-about sandwich shop Korio (#01-21) and Hunan cuisine restaurant Xiang Ju (湘聚) (#01-10/11/12) are opening its second outlet here. The Daily Cut (#01-07), known for its wholesome bowls of grains, proteins and greens, will open its first outlet in the Bugis area.

Families will find two regional Chinese dining concepts making their Singapore debut. Lee & Bai Chinese Buns & Noodle Shop (李与白) (#01-01), a Chengdu-based brand, offers handmade buns with robust, authentic flavours, including its signature Chengdu braised pork buns, and Pang Pang (胖哥俩肉蟹煲) (#01-13/14/15/16) is renowned for its indulgent crab pots and other one-pot casseroles, featuring prawns, chicken feet and other meats simmered in an aromatic, spice-laden secret recipe sauce.

Another Asian highlight is Kong Madam (#01-02/02), a new Korean restaurant making its Singapore debut. While Singapore’s culinary heritage is represented by established names such as Jew Kit Hainanese Chicken Rice (#01-08) and Leong Kee (Klang) Bak Kut Teh (#01-17/18)

For desserts, coffees and more, TAG Espresso (#01-04) serves high-quality coffee made with 100% Arabica beans sourced from renowned growing regions, while Kopifellas Café (#01-09) presents a modern take on traditional kopi, balancing nostalgia and trendiness in its approach to local beverages. At Chow Zan Dessert (#01-19), guests can indulge in an expansive selection of over 80 local, Thai and Western desserts. Meanwhile, Rive Gauche Patisserie (#01-05) blends French artistry with Japanese precision, offering handcrafted cakes and pastries that are equal parts elegant and indulgent.

From 17 July to 10 August 2025, Siloso Beach will once again come alive with beachfront dining and bonding in a vibrant celebration of sand, sea, and smoky flavour adventures. Running every Friday to Sunday from 4.00pm to 10.30pm, highlights of this year’s GrillFest include:

Zui Yu Xuan Teochew Cuisine launches Teochew 'Muay'

The soul-soothing Teochew ‘Muay’ menu will now be available at Zui Yu Xuan Teochew Cuisine from 12 July 2025. Available exclusively for weekend lunches, this menu captures the essence of Chui Huay Lim’s ‘Muay’ offerings, featuring à la carte options and a meticulously curated set meal for four.

Partake in signature dishes such as the Teochew Braised Platter ($40), comprising large pig intestines, pig trotters, goose web, goose wing and squid – each individually prepared in a master stock simmered with over 20 carefully selected ingredients. The most recent additions are Cod Fish Steamed with Aged Preserved Radish, Iberico Pork with Preserved Mustard Green and Puning Beancurd with Minced Meat and Preserved Radish.

Lo Hey launches New Weekday À La Carte Seafood Lunch Buffet

For an authentic Hong Kong lunch feast that won't break the bank, head to Lo Hey HK Seafood in Holland Village. Flavours of Andaz — A Culinary Passport across Cultures

Andaz Singapore proudly presents Flavours of Andaz; a seasonal guest chef series that brings the culinary richness of Asia to the heart of Singapore. Spanning July to September 2025, each chapter of the series will offer an immersive dining experience rooted in culture, storytelling, and regional authenticity.

From 22 to 30 July 2025, Chinese Executive Chef Ray Chen of Andaz Shenzhen Bay brings modern finesse to the rich culinary heritage of Guangdong at 5 ON 25. A special highlight of this chapter is the exclusive Six-Hands Wine Dinner; a one-night-only collaboration between Chef Ray Chen, Head Chinese Chef Lim Hong Lih of 5 ON 25, and wine expert and China’s first female Advanced Sommelier, Meiyu Li. The Six-Hands Dinner happens on 24 July 2025.

Fat Cow Unveils a Refreshing Summer 2025 Shiki Omakase Experience

This summer, Fat Cow, the Japanese Wagyu specialist and fine dining destination, unveils a refreshed seasonal edition of its Shiki Omakase. The new summer menu showcases the restaurant’s commitment to seasonality – celebrating the essence of summer with clean flavours, expertly sourced ingredients, and thoughtful craftsmanship.

Available for both lunch and dinner at $88++ per guest, the 12-course repertoire stays true to this ethos while introducing a refreshed lineup of dishes inspired by the summer season. This edition also marks the debut of a new format at $118++ per guest — an elevated interpretation of the experience, featuring refined enhancements across select courses. Highlights of the refreshed summer menu include:

    Mao Shan Wang Durian Afternoon Tea at Lobby Lounge

    Just in time for durian season, the highly-anticipated Mao Shan Wang Durian Afternoon Tea is returning to the Lobby Lounge, located at the Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel (320 Orchard Road, Singapore 238865).

    Available from 1 July to 31 October 2025, the menu features a tempting array of durian-laced sweets and treats. Highlights include the Durian Mochi Choux Puff, Durian Crème Brûlée, Durian Cheesecake, Durian Cempedak Tart and more!

    The afternoon tea is priced as follows:

    • Weekdays (Mondays to Thursdays): $48++ per person, including unlimited servings of TWG tea or coffee.

    Toby’s Estate Singapore first-ever Coffee Omakase

    First introduced at Toby’s Estate’s Melbourne Flagship Café, the Coffee Omakase quickly became a standout moment for coffee lovers and industry insiders alike. Stripped of frills but rich in flavour and expertise, the experience took the specialty coffee scene by storm. Now, this sought-after experience is arriving in Singapore for two days only, taking place across the weekend of 19 and 20 July. Sessions will run for 45 minutes between 8.00am and 3.00pm, allowing participants to select a time that suits their schedule.

    Cat & the Fiddle’s Neapolitan Cheesecake Makes a Scrumptious Debut

    This July, Cat & the Fiddle is pulling out all the stops with a sweet surprise that brings two of the most loved dessert occasions to life. As the world marks World Ice Cream Day on 20 July, followed by World Cheesecake Day on 30 July, the beloved local dessert brand is introducing a show-stopping new creation that pays homage to both in one irresistible bite: the Neapolitan Cheesecake.

    The Neapolitan Cheesecake brings together three distinct flavours - velvety vanilla, lush strawberry, and rich chocolate - swirled together in harmonious stripes for a dessert that is at once indulgent, playful, and deeply nostalgic.
