Kinki Restaurant + Bar turns up the love with a refreshed menu selection injected with six new mouth-watering dishes. The Salted Egg Chicken is available for a limited time period from 28 Jul to 7 Sep 2022 at all outlets, or while stocks last, the creamy, savoury salted egg sauce recipe, made from real duck eggs, generously coats each juicy, tender and crispy fried chicken before they are sprinkled with crunchy salted egg crumbs to further enhance the texture and taste.

This time, Texas Chicken will also be introducing, for the first time, a NEW! Salted Egg Wrap – think two pieces of crispy spicy chicken tenders, diced ripe tomatoes, diced red onions, fresh lettuce and cheese, dressed with salted egg crumbs and salted egg paste, all wrapped in a toasted tortilla.

7. Feast In The Gyu Bar's Seasonal Highlight - Manjimup Truffle & Hokkaido Uni

This season, The Gyu Bar highlights Manjimup black truffles and Hokkaido uni – treasures from land and sea – in a 10-course omakase menu ($238++). Renowned for its intense, earthy aroma, black truffles are sublime complements to well-marbled Japanese wagyu, as well as luscious Hokkaido uni.

Highlights of the menu include

  • Appetising Truffle Uni Cone filled with beef tartare and sliced onions, topped with Hokkaido uni and freshly shaved truffle.
  • Starters: Uni tempura, Yuzu wagyu carpaccio, Shishamo mentai with sawa gani, and Kumamoto tomatoes.
  • Wagyu lovers can look forward to the fifth course Yakiniku with two cuts of wagyu from two prefectures – Kagoshima Ichibo and Miyazaki Tenderloin.
  • Grilled Olive Beef Uni Roll showcases Sanuki wagyu – one of the rarest wagyu in the world – wrapped around silky Hokkaido uni.
  • Relish the Ishiyaki Truffle Uni Rice featuring Hokkaido uni mixed with Hokkaido white rice in a hot stone bowl, adorned with fresh black truffle shavings and an Okinawa egg yolk.

8. Indulge In A Buffet of Lobsters and Crabs at Estate

From August 5 to 28, 2022, Hilton Singapore Orchard invites guests to indulge in a bountiful selection of lobsters, crabs and other oceanic delights at residential all-day dining restaurant, Estate. Seafood enthusiasts can indulge in a wide array of crustacean dishes prepared in a range of mouth-watering styles alongside the restaurant’s signature ensemble of dishes inspired by heritage Singaporean flavours and from around the world.

The selection of heavenly lobster and crab delights includes fresh Maine Lobster and Snow Crab Legs on ice; and an unlimited feast of all-time Singaporean favourites just in time for National Day like Singapore Chilli CrabBlack Pepper Crab and Kam Heong-style Crabs. Other prized treasures include Lobster ThermidorCrab and Lobster Bisque and Steamed Flower Crab Noodles.

9. Oumi Origins' 6-hands Collaboration

Presented for lunch and dinner on 17 & 18 August, the ‘Oumi Origins’ 6-hands Collaboration sees Head of Japanese Culinary Development of Oumi, Chef Lamley Chua, works closely with Guest Chef Michael Ryana of 2-hat awarded Provenance in Beechworth, Victoria, Australia and Resident Chef John-Paul Fiechtner of Kaarla. 

Join respected and award-winning Australian Guest Chef Michael Ryan bring to the table his culinary expertise, knowledge, and innovative ideas as reflected in his contemporary Australian approach to Japanese cuisine. His love for the best Australian regional produce together with a deep understanding of Japanese cuisine and culture pave the way for an exceptional Australian-Japanese farm-to-table experience featuring 'nose-to-tail' dishes of the season.

The produce-forward, omakase-style 4-course lunch ($138++ per person) and 6-course dinner ($268++ per person) menus highlight a list of ingredients collectively selected by the four talents - from the 1-Arden Food Forest to the local markets in Singapore, as well as Australia and Japan. 

In the evening of 18 August, Head Farmer Christopher Leow will personally take guests on an educational tour before dinner of the lush 1-Arden Food Forest and its five themed gardens.

10. Celebrate Mid-Autumn with locally-inspired snowskin mooncakes from Cat & the Fiddle

This National Day, Restaurant Gaig presents a ‘Catalan Satay’, inspired by Executive Chef Marti Carlos Martinez and his team’s favourite local Singaporean hawker food, satay.  A whole French quail is deboned and marinated overnight with salt, pepper, herbs de Provence, and camomile. The meat is then skewered and grilled over binchotan. The quail satay is paired with an almond and hazelnut based Romesco sauce dip, a traditional condiment that hails from Catalonia.
