Don Dae Bak and Hai Di Lao Opening At Downtown East

A couple of popular restaurants have opened at Downtown East. The traditional Korean barbecue restaurant, Don Dae Bak opens at E!Avenue #01-302, serving high quality beef and pork belly cooked in the 100% charcoal. 

Also opening at Downtown East is Haidilao Hot Pot. Known as one of the top hot pot restaurants, Haidilao will be locatead at E!Avenue #02-344. 

Les Bouchons, Known For Steaks Frites, Opens At Rochester

Hilton Singapore Orchard Presents An Elevated All-Day Dining Experience At Estate

Pop-Up Cafe, Kumoya Introduces My Little Pony

Kumoya Cafe is well-known for its cute and Instagram-worthy themes that rotate every few months. Following the whimsical Molang, and Spongebob-themed pop-up cafes, they are now bringing us the much-adored stars from My Little Pony! Time to bring the little fans down for a visit!

From 24 March 2022, Hasbro has collaborated with Kumoya to present My Little Pony: A Magical Cuteness Pop-up Cafe at Kumoya's Orchard outlet. 

The café has been transformed into a magical world land of rainbows, stars and clouds featuring your kids (and perhaps your) favourite My Little Pony stars, Twilight Sparkle, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Fluttershy and Apple Jack. You will also get to enjoy a special My Little Pony themed menu magically concocted by the Kumoya kitchen team together with the popular Little Miss Bento (Shirley Wong). 

Tapas,24 to launch NEW dishes this April

The much-loved Barcelonian concept Tapas,24, known for its use of Spanish ingredients in traditional tapas with a twist is launching new dishes in April, including the Bacalao “pil pil” ($22) exclusively available only for Easter from 12 to 17 April 2022! Cod is prepared sous vide at 55 degrees Celsius with olive oil, garlic, and cayenne pepper, and served with a thick “pil pil” sauce made with the leftover liquid in the vacuum bag packed with collagen from the cod. The dish is complete with a josper oven-roasted smoked eggplant puree, lightly charred cauliflower and smooth pumpkin compote.

The Summer Salad ($14) is a revitalising medley of mini mozzarella rounds, fresh cherry tomatoes, and cantaloupe melon spheres, finished with generous strips of thinly-sliced Japanese cucumber and basil vinaigrette. Zamburniñas ($12) presents three pieces of prized baby scallops atop simply-seasoned celeriac puree placed on individual scallop half-shells, each topped with a pleasant spoonful of green apple vinaigrette.

L’Angélus Launches Set Lunch and All-Day Set

Singapore’s oldest single-location traditional French restaurant since 1998, L’Angélus is known for consistently serving top quality authentic French cuisine coupled with friendly service and value-for-money set menus. For a hearty weekday lunch, the 3-course *Set Lunch ($32) is available from **Monday to Friday, between 12 to 2pm – comprising of a choice from four Entrées including the uncommon Pâté “Grand-Mère”: home-made chicken liver and pork pâté “grand-mère style”; a choice from four Plats – including the popular crowd-favourite, Steak Frites; as well as a choice from two desserts or coffee and tea. An option to top-up just $9.90 for a glass of house wine – red, white or rosè – is also available for a decadent finish to the meal.

A three-course *All-Day Set (^$68) is also available **all-week offering more premium selections, inclusive of a choice from four Entrées including a coveted Foie Gras Poelé with unique Bak Kwa sauce and hawthorn purée; a choice from four Plats such as the luxurious Tartare De Bœuf or beef tartare “au Couteau” (hand-cut with a knife), as well as a choice from three classic desserts.

Sentosa and Brewerkz join hands to launch Jubilee Edition Islander Brew

BURGS Introduces Limited-Edition Flavours

Specially for the occasion, local fast-casual Muslim-owned burger brand Burgs looks to the signature flavours of Ramadan bazaars that every local knows and loves. 

Burgs recreates the familiar flavours of Ramadan bazaars like Chicken Satay Burger ($6.80) and Beef Roti John ($7.50), complete with sides like Cheesy Butter Corn Cup ($2.50) and Bandung Soda Float ($5.90). Muslim fans can break their fast with Ramadan bundles made for easy takeaways.

Swensen’s Ramadan Flavours

What’s a celebration without cake? Create sweet memories this festive with Swensen’s new, showstopper Nasi Lemak Ice Cream Cake! An ode to Singapore’s well-loved, local culinary heritage, the limited edition creation boasts a ‘Fried Chicken’ ice cream sprinkled with roasted peanuts on top, alongside a sunny side up egg and a dollop of sambal chilli crafted from fondant. The realistic confection is made from two decadent ice cream layers: Kueh Salat ice cream at the bottom, and Coconut ice cream at the top. The Nasi Lemak Ice Cream Cake is priced at $53.80+ and will be available for takeaway only.

Deliveroo Singapore's Easter Hunt

Zafferano celebrates the joy of Easter with a lavish feast as generous as a traditional Italian festive table. Indulge in sharing portions of appetisers and primi, while main courses and desserts are individually plated.

Celebrate the joys of Easter with a sumptuous spread of delights at The Gyu Bar. This Easter, the beef specialist presents an exclusive a la carte menu showcasing Hida wagyu and Okinawa eggs.

For starters, the Wagyu Tamago Yaki ($12++ for 3 pieces) features layers of Okinawa egg omelette encasing sirloin slices that are slow-cooked in a sweet sujini sauce of sake, mirin, and special shoyu for 24 hours. The Ishiyaki Wagyu Tamago Chazuke ($48++) brings forth the rich flavours of Hida wagyu in two styles. Steamed Hokkaido rice, sirloin slices, raw egg yolk, shio kombu, spring onions, nori, and sesame seeds are first mixed in a hot stone bowl. The flavoursome rice can be enjoyed on its own, or as a comforting chazuke with a generous pour of house-made dashi and oolong tea.

This Easter weekend, the world’s highest urban microbrewery, LeVeL33 delivers a delicious feast for the celebrations. For those who wish to eat the traditional Easter protein lamb, look forward to a special Easter weekend set ($108++, good for 2) available only for three days!

The set includes a Slow-Roasted Australian Lamb Shoulder that features a pasture-fed white Pyrenees lamb sourced from Central Victoria. Cured for 3 hours in aromatic rosemary and thyme, then slow-cooked for 12 hours till fork-tender, the succulent lamb shoulder is paired with a sweet and tangy glaze made from their own house-brewed Stout and a gently aged balsamic vinegar.
