Due to the pandemic, many play venues for families have closed. We have equally seen the opening of new places for families to have fun too! 

Many of our favourite places for families have closed due to the ongoing pandemic, this includes Kidzania, Super Park, Cool de Sac and many others. 

It is also interesting to note that many new places have opened too! And in time for the year-end school holidays! Let's take a look at them! 

Singapore Discovery Centre

The Singapore Discovery Centre reopens in October with new and revamped offerings for families! From an Escape Room to 3D Movies, there's plenty to do for families with kids of different ages! 

Some might complain about its location in the far far West but others might see it as a potentially quiet spot for a family weekend out! 

HomeTeamNS Khatib

HomeTeamNS Khatib opened in Aug 2020 and it is not just for members! Here you will find the latest indoor playground, T-Play, and many other activities for the family! This includes Adventure HQ, an indoor multi-elements adventure centre, a bowling alley, swimming pool and more!

Fat Cat Arcade

Already available at 313 Somerset and Djitsun Mall, Fat Cat Arcade will be opening their latest branch at Hillion Mall at Bukit Panjang! More fun for families in the West of Singapore!

Jurassic Cafe

Southeast Asia's first Jurassic Cafe will be opening at ION Sky! This brand new cafe and retail pop-up will run until 3 Jan 2021, just in time for families to go during the year-end school holidays!

The Escape Artist - Joo Chiat

The Escape Artist is a pioneer in Escape Rooms in Singapore, bringing the fun and excitment of real-life escape room games to many players at their flagship room at Habourfront. 

While escape rooms are usually not suitable for kids, due to the theme and concept, their latest game and outlet at Joo Chiat, Pangaea at the Enchanted Manor, is targeted at families looking for something different to do! For a limited time, they are offering 50% off the entire group too!

Inspired by Jumanji the movie, the family takes the role of play pieces on a board game, and has to complete puzzles and physical tasks (suitable for kids) to complete the game! Let's see what awaits the family at the end of the board!

Once Upon a Time on the Orient Express

The Pop-Up Attraction “Once Upon A Time on The Orient Express” will open this December 2020 at the West Lawn of Gardens by the Bay, marking the first time the exhibition is held outside of France. 

Two original 1930 train carriages and a 158 year old locomotive will be shipped from France destined for Singapore, together with around 300 precious items and documents, having to restore some of them and adapt many of the furniture and displays to its former glory. 

Visitors can relive the emotions of travellers who have boarded the Orient Express through a reconstituted train platform, and showrooms where they can embark on a fascinating journey through the history of the Orient Express. 

Tayo Station Pop-Up

Dates: From 30 Oct - 31 Dec 2020
Opening Hours: 10.30 am - 8 pm daily
Fees: $15 Weekdays, $18 Weekends and PH (2hr slots)

This 2,000 sqft Tayo Station pop-up indoor playground will be running from now till 31 Dec 2020 at City Square Mall. It will feature widely popular opular play attractions, including a road circuit track, climb and slide, a huge ball pool and a wide selection of Tayo the Little Bus and Pororo the Little Penguin toy merchandise.

Doraemon Exhibition

Venue: National Museum of Singapore

Go time-travelling with Doraemon at the National Museum of Singapore this school holidays! Doraemon's Time-Travelling Adventures in Singapore will run till 27 December and will provide families with many photo opportunities with the popular robot cat! 

En Dining

Date: Dinner from 5.30pm to 10pm (last order 9.30pm) from Monday to
Saturday, and Lunch from 11am to 3pm (last order 2.30pm) on Saturday.
Fees $58++ for adults and $28++ for child (5 to 10 years old, kids below 5 eat for free)

Time to head down to Capital Tower to enjoy the popular En Dining all-you-can-eat a la carte Japanese buffet! Priced at just $58++ for adults and $28++ for child (5 to 10 years old, kids below 5 eat for free). Reservations are highly recommended via phone at 6423 0110.

This newly opened outlet marks the return of En Dining to Singapore after a hiatus.
