Here's our weekly list of family fun to-dos to help you create lots of fun times with the kids! From extended experiences to new happenings at existing ones, here's a list of family-friendly happenings in the 2nd week of 2024!

1. Extended - LKY: The Experience

Venue: 11 Prinsep Link, S187949

Time: 11 am - 4 pm (Thu & Fri), 10 am - 8 pm (Sat, Sun & PH)

  • Standard Ticket: $18
  • Senior citizens aged 65 and above: 20% discount
  • Each paying adult ticket is entitled to two free tickets for children aged 12 and below

Delve into the life of Lee Kuan Yew at LKY: THE EXPERIENCE, an immersive experience that re-creates his memories, milestones and motivations in a novel journey through time. Be prepared to step into a 17,000 square-feet immersive experience in this three-storey building. The LKY: THE EXPERIENCE features three zones with over 20 rooms, each unlocking a chapter to pull back the curtain on a lesser known side of Lee Kuan Yew as a child, a student, a husband and a statesman. Letting visitors step through and reimagine iconic chapters and moments of his life.

If you think this is just a regular exhibition or if it may sound too serious for little ones, you are mistaken. The exhibition includes many interactive and fun elements, and has been extended till 17 March 2024, so there is still time to experience it! 

2. New Opening Hours - Candy Carnival at Changi Airport

Venue: Terminal 3, Level 1, Arrival Hall, outside McDonald’s and Basement 2, near Kopitiam
Dates: 4 Nov 2023 - 31 Mar 2024 
Opening Hours: 5 pm - 10 pm (Fri), 12 pm - 10 pm (Sat, Sun, PH and Sch Hol)

The Candy Carnival at Changi Airport Terminal 3 arrival hall is still happening with exciting carnival games, rides, and adorable Changi-exclusive confectionery-themed prizes to be won. Test your aim at the virtual reality shooting game, bring home humongous plushies at the giant claw machine or bounce to your heart’s content at Candy Bounce’s inflatable castle of desserts. 

Do take note of the new opening hours as the Candy Carnival runs till 31 March 2024 from Fri to Sun, as well as Public Holidays and School Holidays. 

3. Ice Magic Invites Dogs Owners To Visit: 4 Paws @ Ice Magic

Venue: Bayfront Event Space (beside Marina Bay Sands), 12A Bayfront Ave, Singapore 018970 (Venue entrance facing Bayfront open carpark)
Date: 13, 14, 20 & 21 Jan 2024, 10am to 9.45pm (4 sessions)

Ice Magic, Asia’s largest touring pop-up winter playground, proudly unveils an exciting adventure dedicated to furry friends and their owners, 4 Paws @ Ice Magic! The Winter Wonderland will welcome canine companions over two weekends in January (13 to 14 and 20 to 21 January 2024), where dog owners have the opportunity to bring their four-legged friends for a paw-tastic snow time during these dates. 

There will be 3,000sqm of space for all furry friends to chill out, explore, socialise, as well as capture picturesque moments against the backdrop of Wooden Cottages, and be immersed in a world of mesmerizing glacial art, featuring igloo sculptures, enchanting illuminated icicles and more!

4. Skyline Luge Singapore Introduces Ride the Beat

Skyline Luge Singapore is proud to unveil Ride the Beat, a new sensory experience that brings the Skyline Luge experience to a whole new level of fun! As the first Skyline Luge site in the world to bring music onto its exhilarating tracks, Ride the Beat is a new experience that invites you to go on a musical joyride.

Pick your path and get set for an adrenaline-fueled ride through twists, turns and pure excitement! Skyline Luge Singapore offers 2.6km of downhill fun split between four thrilling Luge tracks. Each track has specially designed features that include curvy corners and exhilarating tunnels that will have you grinning from ear to ear. Choose between the Expedition Trail or the Jungle Trail for the best musical experience during your ride. The moment you push off from the starting point to embark on your chosen track, you're instantly enveloped in a sensory symphony that electrifies the air. The neon-lit tracks carve through the darkness, casting a mesmerising glow that guides your descent.

Ride the soundwaves and zip down dazzling neon-lined tracks to the rhythm of popular music and beats every Friday and Saturday from 7pm – 9pm!

5. Collect Dragon Hongbaos at the Museum Roundtable Lunar New Year Hongbao Campaign

Venue: Participating Museums island-wide
Dates: 12 Jan - 9 Feb 2024
Admission: Free

The Museum Roundtable Lunar New Year Hongbao Campaign returns for its 10th iteration this year — this time featuring a cute and versatile Dragon uniquely designed for each of the 43 participating museums, heritage institutions and galleries. 

From 12 January to 9 February 2024, members of the public will be able to visit these participating museums, heritage institutions and galleries, and collect a set of eight pieces of red packets of that particular museum’s design. Collectors can also look forward to buying a limited-edition Collector’s Box Set featuring all 43 red packet designs.
