1. Explore the Annual Children's Arts Festival - March On 2024 at Esplanade

The eagerly awaited annual children's festival, March On 2024, is back at Esplanade - Theatres on the Bay, featuring an array of free and ticketed programmes designed for children aged 0 to 14 years.

Happening across the March school holidays, this is an annual arts festival for families that should not be missed! The festival presents specially commissioned immersive experiences by homegrown companies as well as international co-productions and presentations exploring the themes of home, adventure and coming of age.   

Families can expect visually stunning dance, music, and theatre performances as well as LARP (Live action role playing), storytelling, roving performances and pop-up installations, there's definitely something for every child and every family.

On weekend evenings, families can also chill out at the Courtyard Green along the waterfront for picnic and enjoy free performances together too! A great way to create family fun while introducing little ones to the arts!

4. Put On Your Dancing Shoes For da:ns focus - EveryBody Workshops

Looking for a lively way to start your weekends with your little ones this April? Look no further than the da:ns focus - EveryBody Workshops happening at the Esplanade Rehearsal Studio for a session of laughter, music, and dance. It's the perfect way to kickstart your weekend!

Join professional dance instructors for a session of dance-play where parents and children can bond over fun and interactive dance activities. Whether your child is aged 3-6 or 6-12, the EveryBody Workshops cater to kids of all ages. 5. The Five Footway Festival returns to Chinatown

The Five Footway Festival is returning to Chinatown Singapore from 9 to 17 Mar 2024, featuring many enjoyable and engaging activities suitable for visitors of all ages. 

At the festival, families will gain a deeper understanding of Singapore’s largest conservation district, life along the Five Footway, clans and associations, as well as the traditional trades of Chinatown. There will be immersive tours, a chance to catch and experience traditional performances, try heritage flavours and to step back into our nostalgic childhood.

8. New Playground - Visit SMIGY's 4th Outlet at Forum The Shopping Mall

SMIGY Indoor Playground opens a new outlet at Orchard Road, at Level B1 of Forum The Shopping Mall. This is the brands 4th outlet after its flagship at PLQ Mall, and outlets at Tiong Bahru and United Square

The playground offers a huge ball pit with interactive wall projection games, as well as many opportunities to role play. Let the little ones slide into the ball pit or play at the colourful sandpit. There's also a unique cow milking and feeding machine where little ones can pretend play at too! 

Tickets are priced at $23 for an hour and $35 for 2 hours for 1 adult and 1 child. Babies below 1 years old can play for free with each accompanying adult charged $10 per hour.

9. A New Party and Play Venue - Whoose Party Indoor Playground

Whoose Party Indoor Playground is a new play venue conveniently located on the 2nd floor of Grantral Mall, near to Tai Seng MRT station. Whoose Party is filled with a variety of fun play options for little ones to enjoy themselves.

10. Play at Yooland - The Newest and Largest Playground in the West

Located at Level 3 of Westgate is a new indoor playground, Yooland! The 6,000sqft playground features a futuristic design with LED slides mixed with a pastel pink and white tone. The playground promises lots of space for kids to run around with 2 decks of play space! 

Inside the playground, you will find a massive ball pit with several exciting play elements. There is also a giant hamster wheel which is great for capturing funny videos! 

The playground also makes use of tech in many of its play elements, including tech-enabled pretend play supermarket, AR games trampoline and a light-up brick design wall too! 

Admission to Yooland is priced at $25 for an hour and $35 for 2 hours on weekdays. Tickets are for 1 adult and 1 child (1 - 18 years old). Children below 1 years old can enter for free with a paying adult ($10 per hour).

14. Car-Free Sunday Returns to the Civic and Central Business Districts

Promoting Singapore’s car-lite goal by creating greater public awareness of the benefits of walking, cycling and riding public transport as sustainable ways to travel, Car-Free Sunday returns on 17 March 2024!

From 8am to 2pm on 17 March, families who visit the 2 main event spaces along St Andrew’s Road and Esplanade Drive, can participate in various activities put together by LTA and partners. From games to inline skating and aeromodelling, there will be activities catered to visitors of different ages. 

Designated roads will also be closed to traffic from 8 am to 11 am to allow visitors to walk, run or cycle on these roads too! 

15. Armenian Street Party: Peranakan Pasar

Armenian Street Party is back!

Get ready to delight your senses in the culinary world of the Peranakans. Discover a vibrant line-up of programmes over four weekends where families get a taste of the rich and diverse Peranakan food culture. The festival promises a fun time for visitors of all ages with interactive and hands-on programmes, outdoor performances and a unique communal-dining experience. 

So come on down to explore the Peranakan Pasar and try traditional and modern flavours, discover the cooking and dining culture of the Peranakan communities at our night market, and craft food-themed textiles and jewellery. Or just sit back and relax as you enjoy outdoor performances and interactive artworks! The party continues throughout March at the Peranakan Museum with specially curated communal dining experiences.

16. A New Splash Adventure at Splashtopia at Sentosa

    City Sprout is inviting all children between 6 to 11 years old to join their Kids Adventure Camp: March Holiday Edition. There will be 2 camp options happening at Henderson and at Punggol. 

    Learn all about food systems and food security in our Sprout Discovery Camp, right here on our farm in the city. Through planting, harvesting, and cooking activities, kids will have the opportunity to experience the food production process firsthand and learn about how the environment affects what's on their plates. Children will have the opportunity to learn to, plant rice seedlings, care for chicken and fish, and even make their own farm-to-table pizza from scratch. 

    Discover the wonders of local biodiversity at our Island Escapade camp! Explore Punggol's natural landscapes with field trips to Lorong Halus Wetlands, Coney Island, and Sun Plaza Park.     The 2-Day Design A Playground Holiday Camp by DesignTinkers is a project-based workshop where children will be designing and building their ideal playground + communal space,  exploring what makes a playground space fun and memorable. Working in groups, children are encouraged to be creative in their findings as they apply Design Thinking principles in understanding the needs and challenges of who they are designing for. 

    Children are encouraged to explore ways to keep their playground accessible to children (and adults) of all abilities, promoting inclusive play for all. 

    DesignTinkers camps are specially curated and led by instructors who are architects, designers and educators with the passion and experience of working with young children to nurture their creative interests.     19. Marina Square’s Signature Balloon Extravaganza Enchants with a Magical Realm

    Step into the enchanting world of knights, dragons, and castle from the 9th to 17th of March 2024 as Marina Square’s annual Balloon Exhibition is back this March school holidays with a display of fascinating balloon creations!

    Families can channel their inner hero and play out their own fairytale at Marina Square’s 6,500-square-foot central atrium, where a magnificent castle, galloping knights, and breathtaking dragons await. The central atrium will be encircled by grand castle walls, where open portcullises beckon visitors into a magical realm. This enchanting structure, crafted entirely from balloons, invites guests to wander into a world where dreams and imagination take flight.

    This enchanting display, crafted by 60 talented balloon artists from 9 countries, features approximately 250,000 balloons and offers plenty of photo-taking opportunities - so come dressed up to the theme and capture those wonderful memories! Costumes are also available for rental at $5, subject to costume size and availability, on a first-come-first-served basis.

    Parents are invited to learn how to make adorable balloon creations with their child in a 1.5-hour long Balloon Workshop featuring a different theme each day!
