Marmalade Pantry introduces a new selection of sweet treats
crafted by an in-house pâtissier and the dedicated pastry team.
Since 1999, The Marmalade Pantry has been known for serving modern bistro cuisine such as comforting pastas, delectable afternoon tea, signature cakes and cupcakes, in addition to offering a repertoire of thoughtful gifting ideas over the years.
As of 1 June 2022, the homegrown bistro has introduced a new selection of sweet treats crafted by an in-house pâtissier and the dedicated pastry team as well as an expanded gifting range beyond gourmet options with artisanal scented candles that make an elegant present for a loved one.
New Cake Collection
The cake collection debuts three new delightful cakes perfect for all occasions, namely the Pandan Gula Melaka Cake, Berriolette Shortcake, and Salted Biscoff Cheesecake.
Taking inspiration from the local ondeh ondeh kueh, the fragrant Pandan Gula Melaka Cake ($11* per slice, $88* for 1.5kg) will be favoured by all. Pillowy pandan sponge cake is layered with Chantilly cream and a caramel-like coconut gula melaka sauce made from premium palm sugar, shredded coconut and fresh pandan leaves. In a medley of textures, more Chantilly cream coats the cake, followed by toasted coconut shavings, and lastly, delicate pandan leaf-shaped chocolate that tops the cake.
The very ‘berrylicious’ Berriolette Shortcake ($12* per slice, $90* for 1.5kg) is an airy vanilla sponge cake enveloped in light Chantilly cream. Sandwiched between layers of sponge cake is a Berriolette jam made in-house through a slow simmering of raspberries and blueberries with a touch of violet that brings floral notes to each bite. The cake is finished with pink cranberry frosting piped into pretty rosettes, as well as dried rose buds and mini edible gold balls.
Those in search of richer flavours must try the Salted Biscoff Cheesecake ($12* per slice, $90* for 2kg), a velvety and creamy cheesecake with a crumbly base of digestive biscuits and salted caramel walnuts for a spiced nuttiness. This cake is complete with a luscious topping of salted caramel sauce, a sprinkle of crushed Biscoff biscuit, and Dulcey 35% Valrhona nut couverture chocolate.
New Look For Old Favourites
Families can expect to see a new presentation for two signature cakes – Old Fashioned Chocolate Fudge Cake ($12* per slice, $90* for 2.7kg) and The Marmalade Carrot Cake ($12* per slice, $90* for 2.7kg).
For the ultimate chocolate indulgence, the former is a moist and fudgy chocolate cake layered with chocolate frosting, and generously covered in a 70% chocolate couverture glaze and piped with chocolate ganache. The latter is another evergreen choice: a splendidly flavourful carrot cake chock full of shredded spiced carrots and walnuts. It is sheathed in a cream cheese frosting with crunchy walnuts on the side of the cake.
If you have a sweet tooth, you will want to go for the Old Fashioned Chocolate Fudge Cake for the rich chocolate, while those who prefer something less sweet will definitely appreciate The Marmalade Carrot Cake.
Well-Loved Cookies Make A Return
Making a return on 1 July are the Gold Dust Rocky Road Cookies ($8*, 100g) and Red Velvet White Chocolate Cookies ($8*, 100g) in a new white square tin packaging with floral accents, ideal for gifting.
The Gold Dust Rocky Road Cookies are bite-sized goodness of 70% dark chocolate couverture, studded with mini marshmallows and finished with edible gold dust. A take on the classic crimson cake, the Red Velvet Cookies surprises with morsels of white couverture chocolate and drizzled with white chocolate.
Refreshed Tart Selection
The Marmalade Pantry Petite Bugis has refreshed its tart selection that is exclusively available to the outlet. Relish three new delectable tarts ($8.50* each) – Lychee Tart, Strawberry Pistachio Tart, and Chocolate Salted Caramel Tart, highlighting a buttery shortcrust pastry tart shell topped with fresh fruits and high quality chocolate upon order.
Filled with rich cream cheese and mascarpone cheese, the Lychee Tart is capped with juicy lychee and edible dried flowers, while the Strawberry & Pistachio Tart is crowned with fresh strawberries and ground pistachios. The Chocolate Salted Caramel Tart features a chocolate tart generously piped with a chocolate and salted caramel ganache, sprinkled atop with Himalayan pink sea salt and edible gold leaf.
Artisanal Scented Candles – Gift Ideas
Launching on 1 July in-store and online, The Marmalade Pantry’s new line of ‘Bloom in Scents’ locally made, hand-poured artisanal candles is a meaningful, mood enhancing gift that will uplift any space. Made with eco-friendly soy and bees wax, the candles come in two fragrances – Peony & Wild Freesia and Fig & Sandalwood.
The 200ml candles are presented in a pastel pink or teal concrete jar with a knitted design for a cosy feel and a sleek a wooden lid.
