Maybe you like to catch the fireworks in person or maybe you like to have a good feast over the holiday. Regardless of your preference (including takeaway for watching the parade at home), this list is for you!

1. Celebrate National Day (With A View) At Level33

On 9 August 2022, the world’s highest urban microbrewery, LeVeL33, celebrates our nation’s glorious birthday with limited edition dishes, available only on National Day. Against the glorious unobstructed panorama of the Marina Bay waterfront – where fireworks will explode right in front of its Terrace, diners can enjoy multi-course meals  inspired by classic Singaporean flavours with a LeVeL33 twist.

In the Dining Room, guests can look forward to an exclusive 5-Course National Day Set Dinner ($228++/pax) with dishes like:

  • A mouthwatering set of three Singaporean-inspired snacks such as a mouth-watering Potato and Truffle Curry Puff, and a savoury Salted Egg Mud Crab which folds handpicked crab meat into a housemade salted duck egg sauce
  • A local take on LeVeL33’s signature Smoked Heirloom Tomato where creamy whipped burrata is layered with a housemade curry leaf oil and topped with tomatoes smoked with olive wood
  • A Local Lobster Bisque, infused with a housemade laksa paste and served with a poached lobster tail, and a garnish of sustainably farmed roe.

Guests who order any of these 5-course dinners will be given exclusive access to LeVeL33’s terrace – all the better to watch the fireworks display! 

2. 2022 National Day Revelry at Kinki Restaurant + Bar

Located on the bay with an iconic city skyline, Kinki Restaurant + Bar is a hot spot for the big National Day celebrations. Head down on 9 August 2022 to feast over Kinki’s Bottomless Brunch or ramp up for a scintillating evening at the Rooftop Bar with the National Day Rooftop Package and get your cameras ready as the night is set ablaze with a brilliant display of fireworks.

Make the best of the public holiday by hitting up Kinki restaurant on level 2 for its ever-popular Bottomless Brunch ($68++ per person). Available from 12pm to 3pm, tuck into reinvented Japanese classics and free flow alcoholic beverage of choice with a top-up of $38++, along with unparalleled views to boot.

Come dusk, party from 5pm to 12am at the alfresco Rooftop Bar on level 3 with addictive bar snacks, drinks, and the thumping beats by a guest DJ working the decks. The National Day Rooftop Package ($588++ per table of up to 6 persons) comprises one bottle of Roku Gin (700ml), a choice of one bottle of Belvedere Vodka or Chita Whiskey (700ml each), mixers ranging from soft drinks to juices, and a sharing platter of Kinki Wings, Ebi Fry, and Cassava Nachos. Revel in the festive atmosphere and await the celebratory fireworks as the neighbouring National Day parade culminates with a jubilant, dazzling orchestra of illuminations.

3. Sky-High National Day Celebrations With 1-Arden 

Venue: Oumi, Kaarla & Kaarla Lounge
Dates: 30 Jul & 9 Aug 2022

This National Day1-Arden levels up the celebrations with dazzling views of the fireworks from the 17th and 51st floors of the CapitaSpring skyscraper. Kickstart the festivities with a 4-hands Dinner, specially curated by Chef John-Paul Fiechtner of Kaarla Restaurant and Bar as well as Chef Lamley Chua of OumiThe after-party continues at Kaarla Lounge and Sol & Luna with the Let’s Go Local line-up, consisting of local-inspired libations made with well-loved flavours of Singapore.

Anticipate a delectable 5-course Dinner at $198++ per person on 30 July 2022, and $248++ per person on 9 August 2022. A total of only six window tables (seats up to 4 persons per table) are available. A minimum spend of $1,000++ per table applies on 30 July and $2,000++ per table on 9 August.

4. Fireworks + Free Flow Alcohol at Caffe Fernet

Celebrate Singapore’s Birthday with Caffe Fernet! At the spectacular Caffe Fernet, you'll catch the RSAF F15s flying display, state flag flypast, spectacular fireworks over Marina Bay, and more! Pricing starts from $150 per pax for seats from 5.30 pm - 10.30 pm, and it comes with 3-hours free-flow alcohol from 5.30 pm - 8.30 pm. 

Kids below 6 years old dine for free, those from 7 - 12 pay $50 nett. 

5. National Day to Savour at Rempapa

Rempapa collaborates with a pair of local culinary talents to present a series of exciting ‘4-hand’ experiences marking Singapore’s birthday.

For dinner on 6 Aug, two Singaporean chefs present a sumptuous Chinese feast ($168++ per pax for a min. of 4 diners) that weaves a story of heritage and creativity, lovingly interpreted. This menu consists of two dishes from Rempapa, two from Chef Marvas, Executive Chef of Path, and two collaborated dishes, in addition to two snacks and two desserts. Served in the communal style of a typical Chinese meal. 

On 13 Aug for lunch, the South Indian set lunch ($68++ per pax for a min. of 4 diners) that the Rempapa team and Vasun, MasterChef Singapore Season 2 contestant and passionate home cook, present another cherished piece in the mosaic of our culinary legacy, in danger of being lost - Thosai. Served communal style, the menu consists of three thosai and three chutneys from Vasun and three side dishes from Rempapa, in addition to an assortment of kuehs for dessert.

6. A Highlight Of Local Flavours @ Binary This National Day

From 8 to 14 August 2022, Binary marks National Day with highlights of local flavours (from $18++) expressed through Asian culinary approaches and a Western mixology classic.

Available for a la carte orders throughout opening hours are the National Day specials – Jumbo Chicken Satay ($18++) and Milo-tini ($24++). Served in a martini glass, the latter is a local take on the Manhattan with the toasty malted notes of Milo balanced with rich, full-bodied Old Forester Bourbon. The former presents four hefty skewers of grilled cubed chicken thigh served with the classic sides of cucumbers, onions, and peanut sauce.

7. The Gyu Bar commemorates National Day with Spicy Tomato Sukiyaki

Celebrate the nation’s birthday with an exclusive Spicy Tomato Sukiyaki (from $208++) from The Gyu Bar. Available for both dine-in and takeaway from 8 to 31 August 2022, the beef specialist pays tribute to Singapore with a limited edition of sukiyaki that incorporates flavours well-loved by Singaporeans.

Perfect for two persons, guests may choose from a selection of:

  • 250g Hida Wagyu Sirloin ($308++ for dine-in; $238+ for takeaway)
  • 250g Miyazaki Wagyu Sirloin ($268++ for dine-in; $198+ for takeaway)
  • 250g Olive Wagyu Sirloin ($368++ for dine-in; $298+ for takeaway)
  • 250g Assorted Platter of Hida, Miyazaki, and Olive Wagyu Sirloin ($328++ for dine- in; $268+ for takeaway) – ideal for those who enjoy a variety of quality wagyu
  • 300g Hokkaido Pork ($208++ for dine-in; $138+ for takeaway)

Every sukiyaki set is accompanied by assorted vegetables and tofu, konnyaku noodles, two bowls of Hokkaido rice, and raw Okinawa egg as a dip. For dine-in guests, a platter of seasonal starters including the crowd’s favourite uni yukke cone, will be presented as well. 

The Gyu Bar’s house-made warishita is imbued with fresh tanginess and natural sweetness from peeled tomatoes. For those who enjoy spicy soups, tantalise the taste buds with optional add-ons of chilli padi and deep-fried garlic chips that are served on the side. 

8. Yàn celebrates National Day with local-inspired dim sum

To mark the nation’s 57th birthday, Yàn pays homage to Singapore’s culinary heritage with a National Day Dim Sum Menu (from $6++). Available for lunch only from 6 to 31 August 2022, indulge in a special selection of delicate creations showcasing a sumptuous spread of classic Cantonese delights incorporated with local flavours.

Commemorate the festivities with a repertoire of local-inspired dim sum at Yàn, exclusively available from 6 to 31 August 2022 during lunch hours only.

9.  Da Paolo Celebrate National Day With The Gula Melaka Coconut Pandan Bun

Specially created for National Day, Da Paolo’s well-loved Gula Melaka Coconut Pandan Bun ($5.50 each) is back by popular demand. Now offered in individual portions, the buns are inspired by the iconic flavours from some of Singapore’s most popular desserts. Made with a sweet enriched sourdough for a softer crust, the buns sees layers of pandan-infused dough, spread with desiccated coconut and gula melaka filling, then drizzled over with gula melaka and pandan leaves reduction and topped with shredded coconut and dusting of icing sugar.

For a day or night of merrymaking, head down to Da Paolo Dempsey Restaurant & Bar and imbibe the local-themed concoctions. Da Paolo has dreamt up the Slushy Sling ($24++), a refreshing boozy ice-blended rendition of the local Singapore Sling. For teetotallers, the 57th Pandan Street ($18++) is a velvety and zesty mocktail teeming with the familiar flavours of local ingredients.

Available at Da Paolo Pizza Bar, the Chicken, Pesto & Sundried Tomatoes Pizza ($33++) is a delicious tribute to National Day. The toothsome, red and white pizza, is topped with a house-made pesto, mozzarella cheese, tender steam-baked mixed herbs chicken breast, sweet cherry tomatoes and Italian sun-dried tomatoes.

10. Goodwood Park Hotel celebrates National Day with a locally inspired Takeaway Set

It comes in an attractive two-tiered packaging with sweet and savoury treats (one piece each) inspired by familiar local flavours, that include Szechuan Pepper Smoked Salmon with Tobiko & Cream Cheese, Singapore Chilli Crab Salad in Vol au Vent; Tandoori Chicken Tartlet with Raisin and Mango Chutney; Otak-otak & Egg in Ciabatta, Chicken ‘Bak Kwa’ Croissant, Mini Curry Chicken Shepherd’s Pie, SG Chocolate Cupcake, Ondeh Ondeh Cake, Strawberry Tart, Rainbow Swiss Roll; Mango Confit with Mascarpone Mousse and Red Velvet Layer Cake.

11. The Marmalade Pantry National Day Exclusive: Nostalgia Afternoon Tea Sets

Venue: Online, Downtown & ION Outlet
Dates: 1 Aug - 31 Oct 2022

The Marmalade Pantry commemorates National Day this year with the Nostalgia Afternoon Tea Set ($78++ for two persons), a local-themed rendition of the homegrown bistro’s popular afternoon tea spread.

Savour The Marmalade Pantry’s take on the nation’s local delights with dainty, savoury bites such as the Otah Mousse Toast, Crab Coleslaw Ciabatta and the Satay Chicken Brioche. You will also find National Day specials such as the Sweet Yam Tart – a nod to the traditional Orh Nee, Tropical Mango Swiss RollPandan Gula Melaka Tea Cake, and the Milo Lover’s Dream Petite Cupcake.

The afternoon tea set is available from 1 August to 31 October 2022 for takeaway and delivery as well as dine-in at the Downtown outlet, 3pm to 6pm daily; and dine-in at the ION outlet, 2pm to 6pm from Monday to Thursday.
