You donât have to cut your playtime short just because itâs raining or if the haze is back (or, with Singaporeâs weather, incredibly hot).
Take note of these 7 perfectly sheltered, absolutely free, indoor playgrounds where you can hide out from the weather and still have fun!
1. The Artground

The Artgroundâs play space does not have the usual make of slides, swings and tunnels, instead it allows for the imagination of little ones to freely flow from exploring the space.
The art space houses installations that kids are encouraged to freely explore and interact with, be it running around, crawling under or sliding down. Not only does it improve their motor skills, it also helps to cultivate their imagination and creativity.
The Artground also hosts various ticketed activities, including music and movement programs, over the weekends, relating to its current installation that you can join in.

PIPâs PLAYbox at Esplanade is where your young ones can freely explore arts. Less of a run-around play and more of a laid-back play kind of place.
At the activities table, kids can indulge in craftworks such as origami and coloring. The play area has a large collection of toys, including wooden building blocks, train sets and cars, that little ones are free to play with.
Aside from toys, they also have a wide range of childrenâs books available. You can snag one and head up the flight of stairs where little ones can chill out with their books on the treehouse-like structure overlooking PIPâs PLAYbox.

There is a small play area on the basement level, where you can let your little tykes loose while you catch a breather. This one has air-conditioning.
There is another playground on the Sky Terrace of Level 2, which is a little bit indoor and a little bit outdoor, featuring small mounds with a trampoline on its peak, climbing structures, a UFO merry-go-round suited more for the younger kids, and more. Definitely no air-conditioning here.

In the viewing gallery of Terminal 1, youâll be able to find a playground with the usual ramp and slide structures. On basement level 2 of Terminal 3, youâll find a simple playground with a bird (or maybe itâs a platypus, weâre still figuring it out) see-saw.
And then there is the five-story rope playground in Terminal 4, which can be quite challenging even for the bravest tot but if you do get up there, itâs quite an exhilarating experience.
All of the playgrounds are free and open to public.

There are two other playgrounds in City Square Mall, both of which are located outdoorsâone with inclusive swings and merry-go-round as well as climbing net, slides, wobbly bridge and a fireman-esque pole (thrill factor: 5/5) and the other an orange playground more for climbers.
