Daddies and Mummies may have memories of staying up late for the first time to catch World Cup matches in the early mornings with your parents as a kid, and perhaps it is time to create the same memories for your little ones too!
While the FIFA World Cup matches of 2022 are more suitably timed (matches are at 6pm, 9pm, 12am, and 3am local time), the subscription to catch the matches have gone up quite significantly since our childhood. If you are looking to catch the matches but is not willing to subscribe to the packages, here are some options for you and your family to catch the FIFA World Cup 2022 for FREE!
Free FIFA World Cup 2022 Screening
Catch free screening of selected matches of the FIFA World Cup 2022 at 58 community centres, five ActiveSG sports centres, the National Library Building's Plaza, the Singapore Sports Hub, SAFRA Clubs, HomeTeamNS Clubhouses and Changi Airport
58 Community Centres
On top of the LIVE screenings, you can score in a host of fringe activities across 58 Community Centres, such as E-sports, mini-football challenges, Subbuteo and Foosball table games, while being treated to live performances and prize giveaways.
Do check the schedules of screening at the CCs as different venues will have different schedules.
5 ActiveSG Sports Centres + Singapore Sports Hub
Cheer your favourite team together with friends and family this World Cup, and watch selected matches LIVE at 5 ActiveSG Sports Centre and the Singapore Sports Hub! The centres that are screening the matches are
- Toa Payoh Sports Centre
- Pasir Ris Sports Centre
- Woodlands Sports Centre
- Hougang Sports Centre
- Jurong West Sports Centre

National Library Building
Several mainstream media have also announced that the National Library Board will be showing free matches at the National Library Building's Plaza.
There's no information available on the National Library Board's website yet, so stay tune as we update this when new information becomes available.
The SAFRA Football Bonanza 2022, happening from 21 Nov to 18 Dec, will let you catch complimentary LIVE screenings of selected matches at the SAFRA Clubs! Families can also expect fringe activities each day too!

Announced on a Facebook post, HomeTeamNS will also be screening LIVE matches across its clubhouses from 20 Nov to 18 Dec 2022. There's currently no other information available, so stay tune for more details!
Changi Airport ST3PS
Looking for a comfortable place to catch the world's most prestigious football tournament? From 20 November 2022 onwards, head down to Changi Airport Terminal 3 Basement 2 at ST3PS where football fans can look forward to adrenaline pumping action where the live football matches will be screened!
Selected matches will be shown, so check out the schedule before heading down!
We are quite sure many sports bars will be screening the matches. Best to check your favourite ones to get confirmation of the schedule and if any min. spending or cover charges apply during the period too!
At Home or On The Go With Mediacorp
Mediacorp will be screening 9 key matches will be available for free to all on Channel 5 and simulcast on meWATCH – the opening, five group stage matches, two semi-finals, and the final.
Other Possible Venues
Below are other venues that we have come across on other sites but could not get official confirmation yet.
- McDonald's - they used to screen them across outlets in Singapore and will likely be screening them again this year.
- Lau Pa Sat - it is said that there will be Football Fiesta @ Lau Pa Sat from 21 November to 18 December 2022. Live screening of all World Cup 2022 matches on a mega 130-inch LED screen
- Singapore Expo
