Here's list of ideas to create family fun over the upcoming PSLE Marking Days!

For those with Primary school going kids, do note that the PSLE Marking Days are from 16 to 18 Oct 2022 and your child will not have school from Sat till Thu! If you are looking to keep the kids purposefully occupied this super-long weekend, do check out this list of events and experiences that we have prepared for you!

illumi debuts in Singapore this September at Bayfront Event Space, featuring 20 million LED lights in its first show outside of Canada. Created by Normand Latourelle (co-founder of Cirque du Soleil), this event brings nine immersive worlds to life. Highlights include the 47-metre Tree of Lights, dazzling kaleidoscopic corridors, lifelike animatronics, and glowing creatures like giant snails and flying squirrels. Wander through icy wonderlands, desert fantasies, and prehistoric parks filled with dinosaurs.

6. Step into Bubble Planet for Exciting Fun

7. Explore Space at the Space Explorer: The Infinite at Science Centre Singapore

Venue: Annexe Hall 2 & 3, Science Centre Singapore
Dates: 12 October 2024 – 23 March 2025

Space Explorers: THE INFINITE bring spaces to the Earth by offering a large-scale multi-sensory experience that enables visitors to experience life beyond Earth and even get a sense of floating in space by exploring and moving around inside the International Space Station (ISS).

The exhibition is filled with immersive curated content from over 250 hours of 3D-360° footage filmed onboard the International Space Station (ISS), with more than 16 hours of astronaut testimonials and the first-ever spacewalk ever filmed in virtual reality (VR).

For kids who love space and those who just want to have a glimpse into space, this experience is definitely to excite. We had the opportunity to visit and we definitely give it a huge times up for delivering what it says it will! 

This is the exhibition's first time in Southeast Asia and it is happening from now till 24 Mar 2025 at the Science Centre Singapore. 

8. Japan Rail Fair 2024 is Back! 

Venue: Urban Park, Guoco Tower
Dates: 11 - 13 Oct 2024
Admission: Free

Families can look forward to embarking on a thrilling adventure to The Japan Rail Fair 2024, happening from 11 to 13 October 2024 at Urban Park, Guoco Tower. Presented by JAPAN RAIL CAFE, this fifth iteration of the much-anticipated Japanese lifestyle and travel event invites visitors on a journey to rediscover the wonders of Japan.

Come explore everything from travel insights, traditional delicacies, to engaging family-friendly activities and cultural experiences over this three-day Japan-themed fair.

Travel and tourism booths will feature major players such as AirJapan from the ANA Group and Japan Airlines as well as regional representatives from Hokkaido and more. Booths will also be serving up various culinary treats from across Japan such as iconic snacks, seasonal produce and alcohol. This includes smoky and chewy iburi gakko (smoked pickles) from Akita Prefecture, strawberry confectionery from VERY RUBY CUT and Suien Momo no Osake (peach liqueur) from Azumino City

The adventure continues with a wide array of lifestyle booths and entertainment for all ages – visitors can look forward to a live instrumental performance by the Wind Ensemble Nippon Singapore, a Tea Appreciation Event as well as booths from Pokémon Center Singapore and Takara Tomy.

A lucky draw will also be held in which attendees can stand to win attractive prizes, including a pair of tickets for a return flight to Tokyo!

9. Halloween Wonderland at Universal Studios Singapore
