Visit the Reopened Singapore History Gallery at National Museum of Singapore
Venue: The National Museum of Singapore

The revamped Singapore History Gallery takes you on a chronological journey through more than seven centuries of Singapore’s history, from its early maritime roots to the Singapore of today.
Along the way, you can discover historical artefacts and new research alongside immersive multimedia spaces and interactive installations. The gallery is organised across seven zones, each exploring different periods of Singapore’s history and the people who helped shape the island.
You won’t just be looking at Singapore’s history as you make your way through the gallery. Along the way, you can stop at voice input stations to share your own thoughts and reflections on the stories you’ve encountered. Your responses will then become part of the gallery’s final experience, helping shape a collective vision of Singapore’s future.
Sunflower Surprise: Garden by the Ocean

Gardens by the Bay presents its first Portuguese-themed floral display, Sunflower Surprise: Garden by the Ocean in Flower Dome from 9 Oct. Shaped by centuries of seafaring and known for its sun-soaked coastal towns, the display captures the country's character through its maritime history, everyday traditions and agricultural heritage.
Journey through Alfama, one of Lisbon’s oldest neighbourhoods, before exploring Portugal’s coastal heritage through the striped houses of fishing town Costa Nova, a 6m-tall Farol de Belém lighthouse, and the bow of a traditional Portuguese carrack.
Moving inland, the display highlights Portugal’s agricultural traditions through vineyards, olive groves, and cork oaks, alongside recreations of historic Porto shopfronts and Lisbon's iconic street kiosks.
Bringing the elements together are more than 5,000 sunflowers across 20 varieties, evoking the sunflower fields of the Portuguese countryside, including supersized varieties that can grow up to 1.8m tall.
VivoCity 20th Birthday Playground

VivoCity is celebrating its 20th anniversary this October with a week-long Birthday Playground packed with family-friendly racing, hands-on craft sessions, and interactive digital art.
The main highlight is the VC20 Mini Grand Prix, featuring a 6m by 4m physical track inspired by VivoCity. Kids and parents can step up to simulator rigs to pilot miniature cars around the custom circuit. On the weekend of 17 and 18 October, competitive racers can compete for leaderboard spots to win VivoCity eVouchers, with the top racer taking home a grand prize worth $2,000.
Throughout the week, families can participate in several creative pop-ups:

Interactive Digital Art: Children can color VivoCity-themed outlines created by artists from The Art Faculty at digital stations, then watch their finished creations project onto a live collective art display.

Newsprint Photobooth: Snap a family photo at the Solace Studios photobooth to receive a customized, newspaper-style front-page print styled around VivoCity's 2006 opening.

Hit The Perfect 20: Test your timing in a quick stop-the-clock challenge where stopping the timer at exactly 20.00 seconds wins a prize.

Hands-On Craft Workshops: Drop in from 12 to 16 October for all-day Crunchy Squishy craft activities by SPLATTIFY. On 17 and 18 October, VivoCity Kids Club members can join the VC20 Cupcake Creations workshop to decorate air-dry clay cupcakes that will be added to a collaborative birthday installation.
BYKidO Tip: If you have younger children, visit during the weekdays (12 to 16 October) to enjoy the squishy craft stations and digital art screens with shorter queues before the weekend racing tournament kicks off.
LEGO® Experience the Thrill

Get into the race weekend spirit at Suntec City as the LEGO Group presents Experience the Thrill, a high-octane, hands-on event for young motorsport fans. Taking over the Atrium at Towers 3 & 4, the activation features a massive, life-sized VCARB F1 LEGO car build constructed from over 400,000 bricks, making it an incredible backdrop for family photos.
Children and teens can tackle four interactive building and speed challenges across the event space. Race against the clock to assemble a VCARB-inspired Steering Wheel in the Gear-up Zone, test your reflexes in The Sprint Zone, take the virtual driver’s seat in the Speed Zone, and celebrate at the Victory Zone with a photo opportunity alongside a LEGO F1 Racer Minifigure. Complete three out of four challenges to unlock an exclusive reward, while stocks last.
That's not all! Families can also capture race-week moments at the 3m x 2m Ultimate Brick Prix Mosaic Wall and explore Suntec City in search of 10 life-sized LEGO F1 Racer Minifigures for a chance to win prizes.
