Did you know that before todayās electric streetlights that come on at a pre-set time, we needed lamplighters to climb the post every night to light the gas lamps? How about your little ones?

Listen to Mdm Si-Hoe S.S., author of āThe House on Palmer Roadā weave riveting tales about such jobs that have ceased to exist today and live through a different time in Singapore in this interactive storytelling session.

We use weaved baskets today to add a vintage touch to our dƩcor and while they look simple, they require an admire amount of skill to produce. Test your skills by weaving your own basket!

Go on a tour of the National Museum and uncover fascinating facts about this building that is more than a century old.
Stay tuned here for May and Juneās themes!
