Here's a list of weekly family fun events and experiences for you to create family fun this week! 

Here's our weekly list of family fun to-dos to help you create lots of fun times with the kids! This week, get ready for a series events celebrating the Mid-Autumn festival, the Park Festival with activities and programmes for families, a free movie screening at the Carnival by the Bay and more!

1. Visit These Mid-Autumn Festival for Families

Mid-Autumn Festival falls on 29 Sep 2023, the 15th day of the 8th lunar month and is celebrated as a day of family coming together. Lanterns of all shapes and sizes are used to celebrate this festival, and here are a few activities that your family might be keen to attend and celebrate this wonderful festival together. 

  • Garden of Bloom at Gardens by the Bay (15 Sep - 1 Oct): Be sure to capture beautiful memories with your family and friends as you wander picturesque paths lined with colourful lanterns inspired by Chinese mythology, legends and cultures depicting reunion, fate and affinity.
  • Mid-Autumn Family FUN at Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre (29 Sep - 1 Oct): Mid-Autumn Family FUN is a 3 day celebration of the Mid-Autumn festival with 14 activities specially curated for families and children. The theme ‘Modern Traditions’ encourages families to celebrate Mid-Autumn traditions with a modern twist.
  • Light by the Lake 2023 at Jurong Lake Gardens (16 Sep - 1 Oct): Come admire the captivating lantern displays hand-crafted by skilled artisans from China and participate in fun activities at the Jurong Lake Gardens. 

2. Fun and Games at Parks Festival at West Coast Park

Venue: West Coast Park
Dates: 23 Sep (10 am - 10 pm) and 24 Sep (10 am - 5 pm) 
Admission: Free

Since its inception in 2016, the 2-day annual Parks Festival event is a celebration and cumulation of NParks signature programmes and activities offered in at the parks and green spaces throughout Singapore

With the tagline ‘Parks for Everyone’, Parks Festival invites one and all to partake in the wide range of offerings on 23 and 24 September 2023 at West Coast Park – engage in art and craft activities, enjoy live performances in the parks, pick up gardening tips, learn more about Singapore’s flora and fauna and its natural heritage, learn how to take better care of your pets, keep fit and healthy with wellness programmes or even shop for gifts for your loved ones at home. 

3. Party at the NParks Concert Series in the Park - Rockestra

Venue: West Coast Park, Grand Lawn
Dates: 23 Sep 2023, 6.30 pm - 10 pm
Admission: Free

Come and party the night away at West Coast Park to the hits of the millennium at the NParks Concert Series in the Park: Rockestra®

Local acts 53A, Jukuleles, Solid State and SuperSonic will be energising the stage together with host Justin Misson amping out the crowd. Sing along to your favourite tunes from Backstreet Boys, Britney Spears, Ricky Martin, Foo Fighters, Jennifer Lopez and the like. Soak in the atmosphere and groove down to party beats like it was 1999! 

4. Catch a Free Outdoor Movie Screening at Marina Bay

Venue: The Lawn @Marina Bay
Dates: 22 & 23 Sep 2023, 5 pm - 9.30 pm
Admission: Free

Marina Bay’s signature event of 2023, Carnival by The Bay, is happening on 22 and 23 Sep 2023 for families with free movie screenings, carnival games and more! 

The carnival ground will be open from 5.00pm on both days with interactive arcade games, and exciting inflatables. An ideal evening outing for adults and children, be it for a couple date night, chill-out with a group of friends or fun time with the family.

5. Go Racing at Marina Square Atrium

 

Venue: Marina Square, Central Atrium
Dates: 12 - 17 Sep 2023
Admission: Free with min. spending

With an exhilarating race season on the horizon, Marina Square is gearing up to transform its central atrium into a racetrack that is bound to get the adrenalin pumping for a week from 12 to 17 September, promising an exceptional and unforgettable racing escapade for families with young ones. The Junior Rev N Race Champions 2023 experience is tailored exclusively for children aged 4 to 9 years old!

From 12 - 17 Sep 2023, little ones aged 4 to 9 years old can enjoy complimentary rides with a minimum spend at Marina Square. Simply present your shopping receipt at the Central Atrium to collect your Race Card and to participate in Junior Rev N Race Champions 2023!
