Explore Family-Friendly Activities at SCCC & SCO’s Mid-Autumn Family FUN 2026

Looking for a fun way to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival with your family? Head to Mid-Autumn Family FUN (MAFF) 2026, where you can enjoy lantern walks, hands-on workshops, cultural performances and more across the Central Business District.

Held by the Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre (SCCC) and Singapore Chinese Orchestra (SCO), the annual celebration returns for its fourth edition with 25 family-friendly activities across two days.

Take Part in Lantern Walks and Hands-On Activities

You can bring the Mid-Autumn traditions to life with interactive activities throughout the festival. The programme includes lantern walks and hands-on workshops at The Makers’ Loft. Here are some activities you can look forward to:

Make Your Own Cold Brew Tea Bag

Discover the flavours and benefits of traditional Chinese herbs as you explore different herbal blends and create your own tea bag based on your personal preference.

Create Your Own Pastel Nagomi Art

Try your hand at Pastel Nagomi Art using your fingers and soft pastels to create a soothing artwork in this relaxing hands-on workshop.

Learn the Art of Chinese Tea Whisking

Experience the traditional art of Chinese Song-style tea whisking using traditional techniques and antique tea bowls, while learning about the heritage of tea preparation from centuries ago.

Make an Upcycled Lantern

Give everyday materials a new lease on life as you learn how simple items can be transformed into your very own unique lantern, all while embracing the spirit of sustainability.

Catch Family-Friendly Cultural Performances

Over at the SCCC Concourse, Performing Just For You! brings together storytelling, children's showcases, traditional dance, crosstalk, singing and other cultural performances. With local arts groups and performers taking the stage, you can enjoy a lively introduction to Chinese arts and culture while spending time with your family.

Dress Up in Hanfu and Take Photos

Want a fun family photo to remember the celebration? Head to The Hanfu Wardrobe Corner, where you can dress up in Hanfu, traditional Chinese attire, and take complimentary photos with your family and friends. It's an easy way to add a little festive flair to your Mid-Autumn day out.

Add Your Favourite Memory to the Mid-Autumn Memory Wall

You can also contribute to the Mid-Autumn Memory Wall by writing down your favourite Mid-Autumn Festival memory. As more visitors add their stories, the wall will grow into a collection of memories shared across generations.

Watch A Voyage of Voices: Moonbound

For a ticketed cultural experience, check out SCO's A Voyage of Voices: Moonbound, the first concert in a new series celebrating Singapore's diversity. Led by Principal Conductor Quek Ling Kiong, the concert takes you on a journey from Singapore's early coolie days to modern Singapore through Chinese orchestral music, festive riddles and storytelling.
