Travel across Asian and embark on new adventures through Asian folk stories with ACT 3 International’s audio storytelling from the comforts of your home. Find out what happened to the cursed giant from Pahang in the story of Sang Kelembai, or join a kind Japanese fisherman at a grand celebration under the sea in Taro's Promise.

Also, learn more about the sunken treasure from the Tang Shipwreck Collection and create your own octagonal cup inspired by ACM's gold cup that traveled the seas from China to Southeast Asia.

2. Singapore Heritage Festival at ACM: Home, and Away

In conjunction with Singapore Heritage Festival this year, Asian Civilisations Museum presents Home, and Away, a showcase of histories and personal stories of people who have crossed borders and relocated from one home to another.

Follow Singaporean Artist Alecia Neo as she explores hospitality rituals performed by a culturally diverse group of women through an interpretive performance. Listen to audio description tours for tales of objects that have traveled around the world. Read fascinating stories from ACM staff and docents whom you may have seen at the museum and share your own stories at @acm_sg.

As Singapore’s national museum of Asian antiquities and decorative arts, the Asian Civilisations Museum celebrates a major milestone with the opening of its new third floor galleries, themed collectively as Materials and Design. Decorative arts are the focus on Level 3, highlighting a major aspect of ACM’s collection. This affirms the museum’s dedication to the aesthetics and craftsmanship of objects that illuminate global, regional and local exchanges.
