In conjunction with Sentosa’s 49th birthday, the resort island's annual campaign, Make Time For More Holidays, is set to return this September to encourage guests to make time for well-deserved breaks.

Staycation Giveaway & More!

Through September 2021, 49 exciting prizes featuring Sentosa’s staycation, attraction and dining experiences will be up for grabs via Sentosa’s Instagram page (@sentosa_island).

Prizes include a an ultimate two-day-one-night staycation for four at Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Resort & Spa, which comes with a private beach dinner at the Southernmost Point of Continental Asia and four 120-Token Sentosa Fun Pass. For one evening, the Southernmost Point of Continental Asia will be closed just for the private dinner, where the winner will also have the opportunity to catch Sentosa’s spectacular sunset.

How To Take Part

For a chance to win, guests just need to post a snapshot of themselves taking time off at Sentosa, along with their favourite reason for visiting the island, and tag @sentosa_island with the hashtag #MakeTimeForMoreHolidays.

12 winners will be selected every week between 28 August and 24 September 2021, with the winner of the ultimate staycation selected on the final week.

New Programmes

Sentosa Development Corporation (SDC) will also roll out a series of new fitness, arts, and educational experiences for guests to enjoy Sentosa in a different way. Between September and November 2021, guests can look forward to taking part in programmes such as:

Graffiti By The Beach

Join a local graffiti artist to learn the basics of graffiti painting, as you create your own graffiti-style artwork using basic spray-painting techniques. In this 1.5-hour session, you will learn how to transform simple block letters into graffiti style lettering. In addition, you will find out how to spray paint your graffiti letterings on a large life size board.

Fort Siloso Night Experience

Fort Siloso is Singapore's only preserved coastal fort that served as part of the island’s defences. The on-site military museum contains a treasure trove of World War II memorabilia, including coastal guns, the remains of fortified military structures and tunnels, as well as an interactive video documentary, complete with wax figures of Japanese & British soldiers at the Surrender Chambers.

In this 1.5-hour tour, you will be led only by a kerosene lamp and a guide who will take you through a realistic experience resembling the dim setting that World War II soldiers had to endure themselves.

Ukulele By The Beach

Ukulele by the Beach introduces the basics of playing the instrument while offering majestic views of the sea from the 50m-tall SkyBridge. The workshop will be fun, relaxed, and interactive, making it suitable for beginners without prior music training. Participants will learn basic chords, basic rhythm, and basic strumming, and will eventually be able to play a few popular songs. Ukuleles will be provided during the lesson.

Art Painting By The Beach

Conducted in the picturesque Sentosa Cove Village, this workshop introduces the techniques of designing geometric landscapes, inspired by the seaside. You will find out how to translate your own sketches into geometric designs and learn how to use acrylic paint to create your own hand-painted tote bag.

Pottery By The Beach

Immerse yourself in the therapeutic process of moulding your own wares amidst the tranquil beach surroundings. Hand-building is one of the simplest pottery techniques. Hand-built pottery is highly customisable and unique since it uses no machinery, only your hands. You will learn various basic hand-building techniques, such as pinching, coiling, slab-making and hollowing, to create your own masterpiece.

Archery By The Beach

Have a go at recurve archery, an official sport at the Olympics. Guests will be introduced to the sport and have a few guided practice rounds, before challenging themselves in a mini competition.
