Being a hero may seem like all work and no fun but saving the Earth can be pretty fun as your little ones will find out as they Go Green with SAFRA’s green-friendly workshops and activities held in commemoration of Earth Hour.
Here’s what you can expect at the different clubhouses.
1. SAFRA Toa Payoh
Why buy toys when you can make them right at home? Play around with plastics and yarn to make puppets and recycle everyday materials to create toys.
Fancy a new coin pouch anyone? You’ll find that a transformed drink carton makes a handy coin pouch. In addition to learning functional ways to reuse, catch the Paper Monkey Theatre’s delightful little performance about loving nature at SAFRA Toa Payoh.

2. SAFRA Yishun
Look around your house, do you see plastic bottles, CD-ROMS or any plastics lying around? We’ve got just the use for them.
Transform your plastic bottles into wind chimes or starry night-themed light bottle, convert your plastics into keychains, and turn your old CDs into mosaic art for your tray.
In addition to that, at SAFRA Yishun, you’ll also get to build and bring home your own Ocean Jar as well as some ooey-gooey slime.

3. SAFRA Punggol
Learn to make puppets, flowers and coasters with recycled materials like plastic, yarn, bottle caps and CDs, and design your own tote bag at SAFRA Punggol to carry all your masterpieces home with you.
If you’ve conquered that challenge, you might also like to try your hand at building a Lego WeDo Robot that will locate and collect materials for your reuse!

5. SAFRA Jurong
At SAFRA Jurong, you can make puppets out of plastics and snails out of papers, discover the art of creating plastic yarn, i.e. plarn, and even shape 3D Mandala Turtles to look life-like.
Additionally, you can participate in games like Common Birds of Singapore Matching Game and Match My Trash Game to pick up some interesting environmental facts. Â
