If you are looking for a break from the usual mall dining, GOCHU at Orchid Country Club offers a refreshing change of pace. Tucked away in the lush greenery of Yishun, this restaurant features a unique cave-inspired interior with textured stone walls and panoramic views. It is a tranquil "oasis" where parents can relax while the kids enjoy the novelty of dining in a "cavern."

While famous for its oakwood-fired BBQ, GOCHU has just launched a premium lunch menu featuring 12-hour slow-simmered noodle sets that are perfect for a substantial midday meal.

New Lunch Specials: 12-Hour Craft Noodle Sets

The stars of the new lunch menu are the Gochu Cold Noodle (Naengmyeon) and the Gochu Onmyeon (Warm Noodle). Unlike standard instant broths, GOCHU’s kitchen simmers their galbitang (beef short rib) base for a full 12 hours. This process extracts a deep, meaty aroma that is rich yet clean—ideal for nourishing little ones and parents alike.

  • Gochu Cold Noodle (Naengmyeon): Served ice-cold with springy noodles, this is a lifesaver for Singapore’s humid afternoons. It comes topped with premium beef brisket and galbi for a refreshing yet filling bowl.

  • Gochu Onmyeon (Warm Noodle): For those who prefer a comforting, steaming bowl, this version features the same rich broth served hot. It is gentle on the stomach and packed with savory flavor.

Indulgent Wagyu Side Sets

To make it a complete meal, these noodle dishes are paired with Premium Wagyu Bulgogi. Moving away from standard beef cuts, GOCHU uses highly marbled wagyu marinated in traditional Korean seasonings. The result is exceptionally tender meat that is easy for children to chew and pairs perfectly with the springy noodles. Note that these sets are produced in limited servings daily, so it is best to head down early for lunch.

Signature Market Favourites & Dinner Delights

If you are visiting for an early dinner or want to add to your lunch spread, GOCHU offers authentic Korean market dishes that are hard to find elsewhere in Singapore:

  • Deep-Fried Chilli Peppers (Gochu Twigim): A viral sensation! These are large, non-spicy green chillies stuffed with a savory mix of pork, tofu, and vegetables, then fried until golden.

  • Pork Ribs BBQ: Slow-cooked for tenderness and seared over oakwood flames for a smoky finish.

  • Signature Highballs: For the adults, the Ginseng Highball (made with imported Korean ginseng) or the sweet-tart Bokbunja (Black Raspberry) Highball offer a refreshing revitalisation.

GOCHU is located at Orchid Country Club, 1 Orchid Club Road, #01-34, Singapore 769162. It is open for lunch from 11.30 am to 3 pm, and for dinner from 5.30 pm to 10 pm.
