Discover these newly opened attractions and exhibitions for more family fun in 2021!

2020 was quite the exceptional year with the global pandemic causing mayhem to our daily lives. Interestingly, a number of new attractions and exhibitions opened up during the year, and if you have not had the opportunity to visit yet, you can kickstart your 2021 with this list!

1. T-Play @ HomeTeamNS Khatib - New Indoor Playground

Location: HomeTeamNS Khatib, 2 Yishun Walk, Singapore 767944
Opening Hours

  • Tue - Thu: 1 pm to 7 pm
  • Fri & Eve of PH: 1 pm to 9 pm
  • Sat, Sun, Sch Hols & PH: 10 am to 9 pm

The latest play venue to open, T-Play @ HomeTeamNS Khatib is a Peranakan-themed indoor playground located at the newly opened HomeTeamNS Khatib (itself being a massive new attraction with multiple attractions including a Bowling Centre, Adventure centre and more). Featuring the iconic Dragon Playground, this playground consist of multiple slides and a toddler area for the younger ones to play in too!

2. HydroDash - Inflatable Water Playground

  • Mon - Fri: 12pm – 6pm
  • Sat, Sun, PH & Sch Hols: 10am – 2pm & 3pm – 7pm

Entry Fee (2-hour slot): $10 (5 - 8 yrs old) | $20 (9 yrs and above)

Hydrodash is Singapore's first floating aqua park right in the heart of Sentosa. This family friendly inflatable playground offers 4 exciting zones, catering to all ages! From an obstacle course for the kids to a 3m tall Springboard for the adventurous, there is something for everyone in the family!

3. Changi Jurassic Mile - Exercise With Dinosaur

Location: Airport Boulevard, Singapore (Outside T4 Terminal)
Opening Hours: 24/7
Entry Fee: Free

The Changi Airport Connector, a 3.5-kilometre cycling and jogging path that links Changi Airport to East Coast Park and the Park Connector Network (PCN). It is also home to the Changi Jurassic Mile - Singapore’s newest and largest permanent outdoor display of life-sized dinosaurs. More than 20 different pre-historic creatures from nine species are displayed along the one-kilometre cycling and jogging path.

4. Alice in Wonderland Playground - Thematic Outdoor Playground

Location: Dawson Vista, 79 Dawson Road, Singapore 141079
Opening Hours: 24/7
Entry Fee: Free

This Alice in Wonderland themed outdoor playground is located among the HDB blocks at Dawson Vista. While it is not the largest or most well-equipped, it is definitely one of the most well-themed and calls for lots of photo-taking too! 

5. Magical Shores at Siloso Beach, Sentosa

 

Location: Sentosa, Siloso Beach
Opening Hour: 7.30 pm to 10.30 pm (15-min cycles daily)
Admission: FREE (Island admission applies)

The captivating Magical Shores at Siloso Beach will immerse visitors in a soothing symphony of light, sound and mystical fog across 2 interactive areas along Siloso Beach. From 7.30pm each night, the beach comes alive with an interactive light display that reacts to every movement - both a visual and immersive experience for the kids and adults alike!

6. Winter Shooting Arena at Snow City - Fire Fight in the Snow!

Location: Snow City Singapore, 21 Jurong Town Hall Rd, Singapore 609433
Opening Hours: Tue - Sun | 10 am to 1 pm & 2 pm to 5 pm 
Admission: 

  • 1 hr Snow Play + 1 Round of Target Shooting: $22
  • 1 hr Snow Play + 1 Round of Close Quarter Battle: $36

Run, duck and slide at the Winter Shooting Arena; the latest addition to the snow and winter experience at Snow City Singapore. This sub-zero arena is open for participants aged 14 years old and above, and will prove to be a unique, fun and exhilarating experience! Especially in sunny and hot Singapore!

7. Time Capsule at Singapore Flyer - An Immersive Trip To the Past!

8. Sembawang Hot Spring Park - Hot Spring Experience in Singapore

Admission: Free

Reopened in early 2020, the revamped Sembawang Hot Spring Park features new cascading pools and a water collection point, enhanced accessibility for wheelchair users, and educational panels where visitors can learn about Singapore’s only hot spring park’s history and geology.

9. SINGAPO人: Discovering Chinese Singaporean Culture - Learn About Singaporean Chinese Culture

Location: Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre, Kwan Im Thong Hood Cho Temple Gallery, Level 2
Opening Hours: 2 pm - 8 pm (Mon), 10 am - 8 pm (Tue - Sun)
Admission: FREE

SINGAPO人: Discovering Chinese Singaporean Culture is a permanent exhibition at the Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre exploring the distinctive Chinese Singaporean culture through food, language and customs. 

Journey across 5 specially curated zones to learn what it means to be a Chinese Singaporean, and how the distinctive Chinese Singaporean culture is shaped by the many other cultures it is exposed to! 

10. Singapore Discovery Centre - Reopening and New Experiences

Location: Singapore Discovery Centre, 510 Upper Jurong Road, S638365
Opening Hours: 10 am - 10 pm daily
Fees: Varies according to attraction

The Singapore Discovery Centre reopened in Oct 2020 after a 6 month renovation closure. Families can look forward to an immersive exhibition that looks at the journey of Singapore, the largest Multi-story Escape Room in Singapore, a Laser Battlefield, and more!

11. Upwall Climbing @ Downtown East - New Climbing Facility in the East

Opening hours: Mon – Fri 10 am - 8 pm | Sat & Sun 9 am - 9 pm
Fees: Introductory Sessions at $30

Recently opened at Downtown East, Upwall Climbing is relatively quiet compared to other popular climbing gyms. Located at where the carousel previously stood, the climbing wall is located next to a four-storey tall glass that provides a great view of the surrounding as your scale up!

12. TimeZone Westgate

The largest TimeZone recently opens at Westgate with over 200 games and bowling alleys! If you and your kids are fans of arcades, you won't want to miss a visit to TimeZone Westgate

13. Once Upon A Time on The Orient Express - Experience Luxury Travel

 

 

Location: West Lawn, Gardens by the Bay
Date: 12 Dec 2020 - 13 Jun 2021
Admission: $25 (Standard) / $88 (Family Bundle, 2 Adults + 2 Child)

Available from now until 13 June 2021, Once Upon a Time on the Orient Express is a pop-up exhibit that allows you to experience travel on one of the most iconic train journeys. Over 300 artefacts, as well as two of the original train carriages and locomotive, will sit within the 2000 sqm exhibition space within Gardens by the Bay.

14. Lite On! @ Downtown East - A Light Art Experience

Featuring 4 IG-worthy and multi-sensory works by local artists and groups, Lite On! at Downtown East is a free light art installation for you to grab those pretty photos with the family! The installation will be available until 21 Mar 2021! 

15. Otah and Friends - An Otter Escape Room For Families

Location: Gardens by the Bay, 18 Marina Gardens Drive, Singapore 018953
Next to Floral Fantasy & Bayfront MRT Station exit B
Opening Hours: 15 Dec 2020 – 26 Feb 2021, 9 am – 9 pm (Extended till 4 Apr 2021)
Fee: $15/pax (min. 2 pax) | $60 for group of 5

From the creators of the Bubble Tea Factory, comes Singapore's first otter-themed escape room - Otah and Friends! Visitors will be wandering through the visually stunning rooms covered in bright pastel colours, searching for clues and finding out where Otah is hiding! 

Besides the adventure, the venue promises to provide the backdrop for many wonderful parent / child photos!
