S.E.A Aquarium Singapore launches the Junior Ocean Protector Holiday Camp for the June Holidays!

Curated for kids between 7 to 12 years old, children who attend the S.E.A Aquarium's Junior Ocean Protector June Holiday Camp will uncover fascinating facts about marine life and dive into the many ways to be change-makers for ocean pollution.

Programme Highlights

Kids will enjoy a 4-hour experience where they will get up-close to incredible marine animals. The programme will focus on sharks from 28 May to 11 Jun, and dolphins from 12 Jun to 26 Jun. 

• Get up close with incredible marine animals
  • Predator Encounter (28 May - 11 Jun)
    Come face to face with the ocean’s apex predator as you watch the aquarists feed the colony, dive into the diversity of shark jaws and more.
  • Cetacean Encounter (12 Jun - 26 Jun)
    Get to know the intelligent and playful Indo-Pacific bottlenose dolphins, learn more about their anatomy and other fun facts.
• Learn about ocean conservation through an interactive Upcycling Workshop and Ocean Protector Trail activities
• Share their ocean conservation and protection ideas through story-telling
• Build meaningful friendships with like-minded children
• Enjoy a yummy picnic with their friends

Kids will also receive a Friends of the Ocean/Ocean Expedition certificate at the end of the programme. 

Tips From Our Experience

We had the opportunity to preview the programme and below are some tips to share from our experience. 

• Bring a water bottle with strap: Your kid will be walking around the aquarium and it will be easier for them if the water bottle has a strap. 
• Remember to have your breakfast / lunch: there will be a snack break and a picnic after the programmes, but it is still best to fill up the little tummies before attending the programme. 
• There is no shark touching: Unfortunately (or fortunately) your child will not get to touch a shark in this camp. 

Programme Dates & Details

This is a drop-off programme and you will have to drop-off/pick-up your kids 15minutes before and after the session. The camp runs every Fri, Sat and Sun between 28 May to 26 Jun 2022 with 2 time slots, 9 am to 1.30 pm and 2 pm to 6.30 pm. 

Kids will be split into age groups of 7 to 9 years old and 10 to 12 years old during the camp.
