Chinese Immersion Camp in Shanghai, Winter 2026 (8 - 17 Years Old)

GoEast Kids is the children's programme of GoEast Mandarin, a Shanghai Chinese language school teaching since 2012.

The Chinese Camp is a weekday camp for kids and teens aged 8–17. Students build real Chinese skills through small-group (max 8 students) lessons in the morning. In the afternoon, cultural activities like exploring the local market, kung fu, calligraphy put kids in real situations where they actually use Chinese learned in the mornings.

Why join GoEast Kids Chinese camp?

• True language immersion in every class. Before camp starts, every student takes a placement assessment. Based on the results, children are grouped by age (8–12, 12–15, or 15–17) and Chinese level (Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced) into small group Chinese classes of no more than 8 students.
• Experienced Teachers. Fair Pricing. Every camp teacher has years of experience teaching international learners aged 8–17. Tuition starts from RMB 6,800 for the half-day programme and RMB 14,800 for full-day, roughly a third less than comparable small-group camps in Shanghai.
• A Day Camp That Fits Your Schedule. The camp runs every weekday. The half-day programme runs 9:00–12:00; the full-day programme runs 9:00–16:00. Drop off in the morning, pick up before lunch or in the afternoon. Your child spends the day in a safe, supervised environment focused on Chinese language immersion, while you handle your schedule.
• How We Keep Parents Informed. Throughout the camp, teachers observe and track each student's learning progress and share regular feedback with parents, including tips and materials you can use at home to support what they're learning. At the end of each session, families are invited to a graduation ceremony where students perform and present what they've accomplished.

Fine Print

• This is a day camp, not a residential programme. One parent or guardian needs to be in Shanghai for the duration. 
• Refund Policy:
  • 60 days before the starting date: 90%
  • 30 days before the starting date: 50%
  • Within 30 days before the starting date: no refund but the credits can be used for other camps or online Chinese courses before 31 Aug 2028.
  • After the camp starts: no refund
  • In the event of force maieure before the camp starts, a full refund will be issued. If a force maieure event occurs during the camp, GoEast will determine appropriate compensation based on the actual circumstances. Such compensation may include, but not limited to, retaining course fee, issuing partial refunds, or providing alternative courses or credits.
