If you are looking for a way to get the kids active while teaching them about the importance of our environment, The Great Green Run (GGR26) is the perfect date for your June school holiday calendar. Returning for its third year at the scenic Marina Barrage, this isn't just a race; it is a full-scale lifestyle festival designed to make sustainability feel personal, fun, and easy for families to embrace.

From plantable finisher medals to an interactive game zone, the event focuses on "environmental stewardship" through play and movement. Whether your little ones are seasoned junior runners or just want to explore a vibrant marketplace, there is a way for every family member to contribute to a greener Singapore.

The Races: From Toddlers to Teens

The event offers three distinct categories, ensuring that no one is left behind. The routes take you through some of Singapore's most beautiful green spaces, including Gardens by the Bay and East Coast Parkway.

800m Dash: Perfect for families with younger children (ages 5 to 12). This parent-child pair run is a fantastic "entry-level" race to build confidence and enjoy the atmosphere without the pressure of long distances.
5km & 10km Runs: Ideal for older kids, teens, and parents looking for a bit more of a challenge while taking in the iconic Singapore skyline.

Interactive Play & Education at The Hive

New to this year’s edition is The Hive, an interactive game element inspired by the run’s bee mascot. Instead of a traditional lecture on climate change, kids can learn about:

Biodiversity: Discovering the different plant and animal species in our local ecosystem.
Pollinators: Understanding why bees are so important to our food supply and environment.
Eco-Conservation: Immersive play that turns environmental education into a memorable family experience.

Shop and Snack at the Green Bazaar

The fun doesn't stop at the finish line. Over race day weekend, Marina Barrage transforms into a massive Green Bazaar with over 50 eco-conscious stalls.

Sustainable Retail: Browse pre-loved clothes, footwear, accessories, and handcrafted products.
Eco-Eats: Fuel up with a variety of offerings from more than 15 F&B vendors.
Finisher Perks: Don’t forget to check out your finisher medal—it’s plantable! Instead of sitting in a drawer, you can plant it at home and watch it grow, giving back to the environment.

BYKidO Pro-Tip: Since the 800m Dash flags off at approx. 9:15 am, the sun will be out! We recommend arriving early to soak in the atmosphere at the Barrage and ensuring the kids are well-hydrated and wearing plenty of sunscreen before their heat begins.

Choosing the right distance for your family is easy with three tailored categories. Whether you’re looking for a serious morning sweat-session or a fun stroll with the kids, there is a slot for everyone.

Please note that standard registration (Earth-Friendly) runs until 3 May 2026. After this date, "Last Call" pricing applies, and race bibs will not include personalised names.

800m Family Dash (1 Adult + 1 Child)

5KM Run (Individual)
- Earth-Friendly Rate: $48 (Includes event Tee)

10KM Run (Individual)

Plantable Medals: All finishers across all categories will receive the signature plantable medal.
