It's the super long weekend coming up, so this week's list might prove to be extra useful for the weekend!

With the public holidays of Labour Day PLUS Hari Raya, families can expect to have a super long weekend from 30 Apr to 3 May. 4 full days that you will need to fill up with activities and fun for the family.

Catch PLAYtime! Imagination Station at Esplanade

Venue: Esplanade Theatre Studio
Date: 29 Apr - 15 May
Admission: $20

Imagination Station is a theatre performance recommended for 3 - 6 years old as they follow the shy and awkward Jamie on an adventure as he finds his way back home.

One day, Jamie’s world is thrown upside down as he accidentally finds himself aboard an MRT headed to Imagination Station, a place where only imaginary friends go. The train has broken down! Lost and out of his comfort zone, Jamie now must find his own way home. Meeting a few silly characters along the way and some familiar characters from his past, Jamie has to find it in himself to be brave and ask for help. He begins a journey to get the train back in action so he can head home. 

Kids will join Jamie as he tackles his challenges and realise that he is stronger then he thinks he is. 

The show runs on various timings between 29 Apr to 15 May and is 40 mins with no intermission. Tickets are priced at $20 and is available at esplanade.com

[LAST WEEK] Join the #LearnWithSentosa Photo Hunt Contest

Venue: Sentosa

Admission: Free

Go on a photo-hunt on Sentosa and stand a chance to win cash prizes of up to $900! Through the #LearnWithSentosa photo hunt contest, families can learn more about Sentosa's historical and natural heritage. The photo-spots will have you finding historical building at Fort Siloso, historical trees and flowers across the island! 

Simply look for the selected photo spots on the island, take a picture and post it on your Instagram account with the hashtag #LearnWithSentosa. You may wish to tag us @bykido and @sentosa_island too! You just need one photo-spot to take part in the contest - it is that simple!

Visit the New Opened SMIGY United Square

Venue: United Square Level 1, Opposite Information Services
Opening Hours: 10 am - 9 pm 
Admission: $19 for an hour, $29 for 2 hours

SMIGY Indoor Playground is a popular playground located at PLQ Mall and Tiong Bahru Plaza, and they recently opened their 3rd outlet at United Square Mall

This 5,000 sqft play space includes many play elements and equipment for the young ones. You will find a giant ball-pit, a sandpit filled with hinoki wooden blocks, a trampoline park with interactive play experiences, and much more! There will also be a connecting cafe opening within the next few months too. 

Tickets are available at $19 per hour and $29 for 2 hours.

Take Part In A Singapore HeritageFest 2022 Programme

The Singapore HeritageFest (SHF) 2022 will commemorate Singapore’s vibrant travel history and rich natural heritage with programmes happening across the island. This year’s programme line-up includes heritage and cultural trails, hands-on workshops, video documentaries, tours, exhibitions and digital programmes that illuminate the evolution of travel to and within Singapore, and uncover hidden aspects of the flora and fauna native to the region. 

Over 80 programme partners will be conducting 120 programmes - both online and onsite. Many of these activities are family-friendly, and families may wish to explore the family-friendly programmes available to take part in!

We recommend the Merli-Go-Round experience where you can join Merli on an adventure to explore hidden gems and learn about Singapore’s colourful history and heritage in Chinatown, Little India, Kampong Gelam, and Katong-Joo Chia. By completing quests, you can earn points to redeem exclusive Merli-themed prizes too! 

Enjoy a Parent/Child Live Theatre Performance At The Artground

Venue: The Artground, 90 Goodman Road, #01-40 BLK J
Dates: 28 April - 8 May 2022
Admission: $48 per parent/child pair

HOUSE is a parent/child Live  theatre performance, for children 15 months to 3 years, where the visual and sensory experience is designed to tickle your child's senses. Each adult-child pair will 'live' and view the performance in their own little “house” as they follow the little curious Collector's everyday adventures as she goes out and about, collecting objects from her environment. 

But what happens when the rain keeps her from going about her daily routine? Can she continue to tap into her curious nature to find joy indoors? Well, go on a journey of discovery with the Collector - rain or shine! 

Tickets are available in pairs and are priced at $48. The experience also includes a 45min play time at The Artground's sensory space - Fungus Humongus featuring a magical forest where everything, from fallen branches to all kinds of fungi, has been scaled up to huge proportions.
