Here's our weekly list of family fun to-dos to help you create lots of fun times with the kids! This week, we take a look at a number of new openings as well as celebrations for Christmas that you should take note of too!

1. Keppel Centre for Art Education Reopens

Venue: Level 1, National Gallery Singapore
Opening Hours: 10 am - 6.45 pm (entry based on time slots)

National Gallery Singapore reopens Keppel Centre for Art Education with an entirely refreshed space offering a world of wonder for children to learn about art through play. This popular space for families reopens from 16 Dec 2023 featuring new child-centric learning zones and activities that revolve around the theme of Art & Wonder: Nurturing Wonder through Play and Creativity.

The Centre features an immersive learning space comprising seven zones, with stimulating and interactive experiences suitable for children aged 4 – 12. Each zone offers a welcoming and nurturing environment, providing a gateway through which children can be fully immersed in the wonderment of the world of art through play and creativity.

2. Kiztopia Club Opens at Jewel Changi Airport

A first-ever collaboration of its kind where the experts in toys and play come together, Toys“R”Us Jewel Changi Airport will house an aviation-themed indoor play park by Kiztopia.

Kiztopia Club Jewel Changi Airport occupies 4,500 square feet of space. This specially designed aviation wonderland boasts unique features including a colossal funnel slide that descends into a massive ball pit, an interactive ball-shooting game wall, thrilling obstacle courses, and a giant plane structure to complete the “flight” experience.

3. The Artground Offers Drop-in Sessions at One Holland Village

Admission: $10 per family (Opening Promo), $5 per pax (from Jan 2024)

The Artground @ One Holland Village is the 2nd space from The Artground offering families with kids between 0 to 9 year old a space to spend time together and to engage with each other through the arts. The play space will be offering drop-in sessions as well as regular arts-based programmes for families.

For its opening theme, The Artground presents, A Curious GardenSo come hop on toadstools, dance with the garden gnomes or hide in the treehouse! Spot the reimagined rocks in a garden and the colourful trail which may take your mind to new places of discovery. Come explore and let your imagination take flight in the arts space at One Holland Village. 

4. Celebrate Christmas with Science at the Sci-sational Christmas

Venue: Science Centre Singapore
Dates: 9 - 25 Dec 2023, 10 am - 5 pm
Admission: from $6

Parents looking for an experience that combines fun and learning - look no further! Science Centre Singapore's "Sci-sational Christmas" is an event that promises an exciting journey into the world of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). Get ready for a joyous exploration filled with interactive activities, captivating science shows, and more!

families can immerse themselves in an enchanting symphony of lights and sound at this festive event! Discover cool science experiments, meet friendly elves, and much more! It's the perfect way to celebrate the spirit of Christmas with you and your loved ones.

Sci-sational Christmas activities are recommended for ages 5 and above, ensuring a delightful and educational experience for curious minds! 

5. Road Closures on Orchard Road to Celebrate Christmas 

Venue: Orchard Road
Date: 24 - 25 Dec 2023
Admission: Free

As part of Christmas on a Great Street, on Christmas Eve, a segment of Orchard Road, from Paterson junction to Bideford junction, will be closed to vehicles from 6pm to 2am on 25 Dec for a Christmas Eve party. 

Taking place from 8pm to 12.30am, families can expect performances, Christmas carols, Santa Meet & Greet sessions, a Christmas Market, food trucks, a countdown to Christmas, and more! 

You can also be enjoying Christmas celebrations at the 3 Christmas Villages located along Orchard Road at Shaw House, Plaza Singapura and Ngee Ann City.
