1. Step Into the Magic of Light to Night Singapore 2026 at the Civic District

Light to Night Singapore 2026 marks the National Gallery Singapore’s 10th edition of the festival and will be extended across 4 vibrant weekends for the first time from 9-31 Jan 2026.
With the theme of “The Power in Us,” the festival returns to celebrate the collective strength that emerges when people and communities come together to reflect, converse and create with the help of art. This edition explores how the power of unity can shape shared experiences and spark new possibilities. Audiences can look forward to interactive art installations, façade projections, performances and programmes that invite them to take part in the festival in unexpected ways.
2. Stack Up the Fun This Lunar New Year at Marina Square

This Lunar New Year, Marina Square invites families and friends to stack up the fun and welcome the Year of Prosperity with a vibrant, all-ages celebration running from 12 January to 24 February 2026.
Step into Prosperity BrickLand, a colourful, Lunar New Year–themed brick-built playground designed for hands-on play and high-energy fun. Featuring giant slides, climbing zones, interactive building areas, and imaginative brick structures, Prosperity BrickLand transforms the atrium into a lively festive play universe.
Families can also expect cultural performances, immersive experiences, carnival games, and festive photo opportunities as Marina Square ushers in the Lunar New Year in spectacular style.
3. Celebrate the Lunar New Year With a Community Light-Up at One Punggol

One Punggol will usher in the Lunar New Year with a community-centric Chinese New Year Light-Up Celebration. From 6.00pm onwards, One Punggol, Level 1 will transform into a warm, welcoming gathering point for residents, families and visitors.
At the heart of the celebration is the Chinese New Year Light-Up, a symbolic moment that marks the start of the festive period at One Punggol. More than a visual highlight, the light-up represents collective hopes for the year ahead, illuminating the space through the participation of community members and invited guests.
Surrounding the light-up is a thoughtfully curated programme of cultural performances, hands-on workshops and family-friendly activities that invite residents of all ages to participate. From traditional Chinese arts to interactive play elements for children, the celebration is designed to feel accessible, inclusive and rooted in lived community experience.
A highlight of the Chinese New Year Light-Up Celebration is the Lion and Dragon Dance performance (9 pm), a Chinese Face Changing performance and Chinese acrobatic performances.
For families with young children, a dedicated play zone featuring bouncy castles and Kiddy rides provides a lively and safe environment for festive enjoyment. These activity areas are designed to complement the cultural programme, ensuring that families can spend extended time at One Punggol, moving seamlessly between performances, workshops and play.
4. Ride Into the New Year With POP MART The Golden Gallop Series at Resorts World Sentosa

Resorts World Sentosa is riding into the new year with the launch of an exciting new collaboration with global art toy brand POP MART – marking the brand’s first-ever resort-wide activation.
POP MART The Golden Gallop Series brings together 12 of the brand’s most beloved characters, each reimagined through a festive lens inspired by this year’s zodiac. Transforming everyday pathways into moments of surprise and delight, the 12 installations,
Families are invited to embark on an interactive passport journey across the resort to collect stamps at 12 designated POP MART passport stations across five uniquely themed zones, for a chance to redeem an exclusive sticker sheet featuring all 12 POP MART characters, created especially to commemorate the Chinese New Year celebrations at RWS.
5. Step Into the Hidden World of Insects: Microsculptures Magnified at ArtScience Museum

Explore the hidden beauty of insects, magnified into captivating works of art that uncover intricate details, complex forms and surprising worlds up close.
Happening from 17 Jan 2026 at the ArtScience Museum, step into a world where the tiniest creatures become larger than life. Insects: Microsculptures Magnified invites visitors to see insects as never before. Transformed into breathtaking works of art through British photographer Levon Biss, every wing, scale and iridescent surface reveal hidden beauty and complexity within the natural world.
37 high-magnification portraits of insects from the Oxford University Museum of Natural History’s collection will be featured, revealing their intricate forms in breathtaking detail. From colours and textures to anatomical structures that are often invisible to the naked eye, this exhibition offers the chance to rediscover insects from extraordinary perspectives.
Additionally, burrow deeper into the natural world with interactive experiences, specimen displays and a behind-the-scenes look at Biss’ meticulous photographic process alongside stories of cutting-edge research and discoveries from Singapore’s very own scientific community.
