Marina Square is transforming into a bustling hub of festive cheer this Lunar New Year, welcoming the Year of the Horse with an impressive line-up of activities. The mall’s Central Atrium will host an immersive playground alongside traditional performances that promise to captivate both the young and the young at heart.
Running from 12 January to 24 February 2026, this event combines cultural heritage with modern play, making it a must-visit destination for families looking to usher in a prosperous year.
First-in-Singapore: Gravity-Defying Budao Weng

For the first time in Singapore, visitors can witness the Budao Weng (不倒翁) performances. These "one who will not fall" performers represent resilience and perseverance—values that resonate deeply during the festive season
Spectators will be enthralled by acrobats balancing and spinning on large tops, performing rhythmic choreography and daring stunts that symbolise the strength needed for the year ahead.
Prosperity BrickLand: A Building Block Universe

The highlight for many children will be Prosperity BrickLand, a massive building block-themed park. This interactive zone is designed to spark creativity and physical movement.
Families will enter through a festive CNY Entrance Arch before exploring a sprawling play universe filled with interactive zones and colourful structures. Children can dig, scoop, and build in the tactile ‘sand’ pit, create giant masterpieces with fun bricks, or bounce to their hearts’ content on the lively trampolines. Little explorers can soar on the swings, tumble into the adorable Giraffe Ball Pit, zip down the towering Spiral Slide, or brave the crowd-favourite Dragon Slide, designed specially for the festive season.
Young builders can operate manual conveyor belt, overhead crane, and crane station—that bring pretend play to life. They can also hop aboard the charming mini train ride and follow the dedicated track through BrickLand’s bustling activity zones. With block trolleys scattered throughout for easy play, Prosperity BrickLand offers a joyful, fully immersive experience
Entry for one child and one adult is priced at 18 credits (worth $18) for a 30-minute session. Parents are reminded that socks are compulsory for all participants entering the play zone.

Dress up in traditional and festive outfits (12 credits (worth $12) per pax), strike a pose and capture fun family photos to mark the festive celebrations in style. There will also be beautifully designed Lunar New Year-themed backdrops to complement your photos!
Traditional Lion Dance and Festive Crafts
No Lunar New Year is complete without the thundering drums of a lion dance. Marina Square has invited the Yiwei Athletic Association, two-time national champions, to perform on 31 January, 1, 7, and 8 February at 1pm and 5pm.
For a more hands-on experience, the Central Atrium also features several workshops available for 8 credits each:
- Lucky Mosaic Coaster Workshop: Create a personalized sparkly mosaic coaster with shiny tiles
